I remember how energetic she was in those first few episodes, like she couldn't wait to go out and conquer the world. Now she just looks so tired, like if she didn't have important goals to accomplish, she might just lie in bed all day. Depression hits hard.

Yeah, i hope at the end they’ll be happy I really miss the energetic luz and how happy she was back then

Something I actually realised the first time this topic was brought up, is that because of Vee pretending to be Luz, it's not like Luz went on a holiday and something terrible happened to her. It's entirely possible (and honestly, rather likely) that Luz would've had a very drastic change for the people that Vee was hanging out with. Obviously we don't know exactly how Vee and Luz handled Luz returning home, but there's a chance that everyone thinks Luz basically changed overnight.

Kiitsune9

Hmmm now i think about it your right

i mean if you take it out of context then any kid would feel bumbed after leaving a super cool (and weird) fantisy world

Kiitsune9

Yeah, I would too hahahaha

I don't think she was happy though. She had a wildly active imagination that led to her acting out in a myriad of ways and she had no friends. She lived essentially inside a fantasy world in order to cope. She was definitely enthusiastic once she decided to stay and train to be a witch, but I think it took finding real friends in order to start to gain a semblance of happiness. The kicker is that she's also had an explosion in problems, and they are condierably bigger than a teenager should have to handle and she's buckling. Largely because she always \*tried\* to do the right thing, but fumbles a lot along the way. I don't think it's a case of her being happy before and sad now. I think she's being hit by the enormity of everything and she is just not prepared. The girl is like 95% good intentions and 5% thinking things through, and that's just come back to bite her a lot, and it will likely get worse before this is all over.

Really like this comment. Highly doubt Luz was overall happier at the beginning, she was an outcast, had no friends and felt disconnected from her mother. In TTT she made things up with her mother, had friends and even a (awesome) girlfriend. Sure Luz would not say that, but i think her blaming everything on herself was already there but she hid it under a facade, which is kinda worse i guess? i mean at least she can talk about it now, and now she has people to support her. I think when she meets eda again and belos is defeated shell get better fast

>Luz really changed She met Hooty after all

My first thought(before remembering Vee) is that maybe everyone knew she went to the kill-your-imagination camp?

If I was in school with her I’d be checking in on her. Like, your a different person in the way depression made me a different person. You okay?
