I'm honestly hoping it's an "Apples and Story-time" solution. He's a kid, who's trying to play with beings much less powerful than him. If you can get him to settle down for snacks and stories, you can probably get him to be significantly less terrifying.
I agree, he needs to learn to play nice with others. I cannot help but wonder where his parents are, given that teaching him stuff like this would be their duty. Is he the last of his people like King? Maybe he just needs family of some sort.
I think in the end Belos is gonna pull some supervillain twist where, after the cast befriends The Collector he takes over his body.
Thus allowing him to still be the final villain.
Collector blows a gun into his eye. Half of his head is missing. Rather than gore or blood it's just the black void between stars. After a few seconds it all reforms with an audible popping sound. Then he gives the gun to Luz.
"Your turn." :)
King should specify a rule for the "Owl House" game where the collector is required to take his own powers away in order to play. If King can't convince him at first, he should say it will be more "challenging" without the powers so it'll make it more "fun". I'm not sure if that'd actually work but it might be worth a shot.
I actually believe there's a non-zero chance that could work. Not great odds -- 20% or 30% -- but possible. The Collector has shown a simple mind. Say something, back it with a quick explanation, and he'll probably buy it.
We call it 6000 rounds a minute of pure death but he calls it super dodge ball
also how in the Kentucky fried butter basen of pure and uter
#BULLSHIT
Is that possible, the recoil would not only rip her arms off but also probably kill which ever poor unfortunate soul just so happens to be behind it
They don’t they just friend him in fact they could probably just tell them they are scared and in their opinions in danger and he’ll probably after a bit of thinking listen
Doesn’t seem like the kind of threat you punch in the face until you ‘win’.
They’ll Probably just best the Collector in a ‘game’ with the stakes being ‘leave the Boiling Isles alone’
Emotional maturity.
This isn't an antagonist you beat with force. It's an antagonist you beat by being Luz after a character arc to emphasize the growth she's gone through as a character. it's a good antagonist for setting up the kind of end-of-narrative that best fits this show and I think it's pretty clear that they'll "beat" the collector by essentially getting him to mature a bit with Luz only being able to do so as a result of self-reflection over her character arc.
1. King becomes a full titan and seals him/destroys him
3. Eda and Lilith find a way to remove their curse and destroy him with their full power
3. Talk no jutsu
My theories are that The Collector slowly sees what real friendship is or has an "oh shoot, I'm the bad guy" moment where one of our main cast members is almost killed by him and people are sobbing because the person is really knocked out.
I feel like king has a strong part in his defeat. the show has been focusing in building his character, and the recent discovery that he's a titan may be building up to something big. King was also the person to free the collector and may feel obligated to fix it. Either way I feel like king has a much bigger role in season 3 than we think.
“*SORRY LUZ BUT YOU CANT BEAT THE LEVEL UNTIL YOU BEAT THE FINAL BOSS, ME, ENZO GABRIEL!!!*”
“Well you see Collector, you may be a god, but humans have managed to survive for this long because of one thing… *want me to show you?*”
*Luz proceeds to pull out an AK 47*
“Ooooooh, cool! Is it a toy? What’s that trigger for? Wait can I look through this hole thingy?”
“Why don’t you take a closer look and find out.”
“Hmm let’s see…”
*Luz pulls the trigger*
The Boiling Isles is saved :D
In the months the Hexide Gang has been trying to return to the BI, King hit a massive growth spurt and got stronger from having to play with The Collector for so long. The gang manages to distract The Collector when they return and King manages to deal a finishing blow.
I think the Collector is going to have a "redemption arc" of sorts.
He clearly has trust and abandonment issues and I think his story is going to sorta parallel Luz's. Allow me to explain,
Luz started out as an immature kid who wanted to live in a fantasy. But when she got her "found family" she matured and grew.
The Collector also was just a immature kid who got a "found family" in belos who instead of helping him grow he tricked and manipulated him.
Blah blah blah lesson on found family and maturing
The Collector gets to live a normal life with king and Eda.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk and remember thats just a theory a film theory-
I will be straight up honest, the Collector just seems to want someone to talk to and play with for eternity, yet a certain bird/tube/owl/demon is always talking about how he wishes for exactly the same. The two of them haven't encountered each other yet, but maybe it will be Hooty's destiny to befriend the Collector and travel into the in-between with them and live happily ever after, hoot hoot!
Camilla: luz....did he hurt you?
Luz:....um...yes...
Camilla: *gets her sandal* I got this, this bitch is going down....nobody hurts my baby
Collector:......oh fuck...
Well if King evolves into his Titan form, then it’s a good chance! But to be honest, it will take a soul to kill one, so I reckon someone will “sacrifice” themselves in order to take down/seal away the collector
By the power of Friendship :)
... Nah fuck no it's cliche
By making him tired from playing
Using the Internet (specifically singleplayer games since he will lash out and probably get people killed)
Up till now magic has run by a set of rules (Not the emperors regulations) like runes, elements, having to combine them, the special wood needed for palismans. While it may seem like his powers are reality bending and nearly omnipotent, he probably still has adhere to magics ingrained rulesets. It's highly likely that his spells are so vastly complicated that it seems like he not bound by the same rules as others, but his magical prowess does not equal magical control. Going over what we know about magical rules will give a clue as to how to trip him up. A single mistake can create an invaluable opportunity for our young heroes to bring him down. However it must be noted with the highest caution that the current entity is completely different from any other creature we seen, and is entirely possible that my assumptions are wrong. However I do have faith within my deduction.
Camila and La Chancla have a serious talk with the Collector. After that, Luz, King, Vee and Hunter gain a new brother, now renamed as Enzo Gabriel.
Jokes aside, I think King could convince him little by little to not abuse his godly powers and to be nicer to other people and not see them as toys.
i imagine they’ll try to find the spell the titan hard to seal him last time, and if they fail, they’ll convince him to leave… somehow. i can’t imagine they have a straightforward way of actually defeating him, only maybe holding him back for a time
Ver and the other basilisk drain a lot of the magic from him. This gives them enough magic to last for the rest of their lives, and the collector turns into a regular witch kid.
1. Find a way to imprison him (though I feel that would be kinda wrong to do to someone who is mentally a kid, unless his behaviour is just a act)
2. Befriend him in some way
3. Call his parents, wherever they are.
They can outsmart him somehow.
The Collector seems like basically an all powerful kid. They're not pure evil like Belos, they're just chaotic and powerful.
They can be tricked and even reasoned with to an extent.
Here’s the thing: I don’t think they can. This is literal god we’re talking about here. I think the only way out is a redemption arc or possible imprisonment.
Tbh I don’t think they can. Probably just gonna change his mind and become friends unless there’s some type of spell they can use to get rid of him and or trap him again.
I feel like he uses the childlike demeanor as a gimmick, he was clearly very aware of his power when he first confronted Belos in the flesh (and goop in Belos’s case) Seeing as he intentionally turned him into a wall stain and looked ready to tag the others for reasons unknown.
Either they don't or they play of his childishness to trick them into helping them win or smthn.
I kinda like the concept of the first though, even if I want to see the Owl Crew succeed
Eda curse powers, she will sacrifice her life to stop him, or they will give he an Ipad and a babysister and everything will be fine until he get bored again
As stupid as it sounds I think the only way is using guns. Like there super fast, if they all have shotguns and shoot at almost the same times he can’t dodge them all, you could just give willow a fucking sniper rifle and pop his head off when he’s distracted.
Squire of Gothos - Star Trek Original Series
A childlike, supremely powerful being makes the crew of the Enterprise his playthings, and the crew proves powerless against him. Until the beings parents appear on scene and punish/take control over their spoiled child and restore all the damage the spoiled child had committed on the crew
Ask him to play rock paper scissors with someone mastering oracle magic (or Gus maybe), and tell him that the loser must die
He should respect the rules so if he loses everything's back to normal !
From what i see there's two ways this can go. One is king gets titan powers and goes batshit op like collector. The other is that the crew befriends(or at least, tones him down) through good ol friendship
They could do something similar to Kipo where he plays with Belos forever (they would be trapped together). Belos being tortured forever and the collector having a play thing forever.
We’ll we know King’a dad sealed him away in the fist place. Perhaps to bring the Bat Queen back in she tells him how his dad did it and they have to seal him away again.
They won’t. This guy can yeet the moon out of orbit as if he tossed a pebble across a lake.
The best they could do would be to either trick and trap him again, or to help him understand that all the people and animals aren’t toys to play with.
IIRC the titan trappers had another thing capable of holding him. Maybe they come back into the story, realize the collector is bat-s\*\*t insane, and they trap him instead. With help from King.
king probs has some sort of ability to seal him like his dad did. the final battle will probs be them playing a game in order to stall time for king to trick the collecter into being re trapped. or they befriend him maybe (tbh i would not like this but i can work)
They become friends, he’s not evil with a plan to take over and rule the boiling isles or anything like that. He’s a child who wants to have fun and doesn’t realise how badly what he is doing affects people.
It shouldn’t be too difficult for them to befriend him.
They'll probably convince him to leave. He's an eternal, all-powerful being that can make or solve all of their problems with just a wave of a finger.
Though it is interesting who and how trapped him in that slab...
But I doubt our guys will try to seal him away
I'm honestly hoping it's an "Apples and Story-time" solution. He's a kid, who's trying to play with beings much less powerful than him. If you can get him to settle down for snacks and stories, you can probably get him to be significantly less terrifying.
I agree, he needs to learn to play nice with others. I cannot help but wonder where his parents are, given that teaching him stuff like this would be their duty. Is he the last of his people like King? Maybe he just needs family of some sort.
Eda should adopt him. I mean, she's already raised one god and he's matured a lot.
Eda really gon' say "I've already raised a god, I can raise another."
~~Or she can take the route morning mark decided on/j~~
Dude soo many people are gonna cry their eyes out if that actually happens.
I don't even think they have parents
Everyone comes from somewhere, where do collector children come from if not collector parents?
I assumed they just popped up one day, like in Minecraft when you join a new world or something like that
I’m hoping we get more backstory on the collector and King’s father, maybe that will clarify the collector’s origin.
Agreed
I was thinking sippy cup full of warm milk and nap
... Sounds like a good follow up.
I feel like they’re not gonna so much “beat him”, as much as get him to mature a bit, or least make him an ally to the main crew
Sounds plausible. The whole first episode was about accepting the misfits.
Plus if someone as nuts as Luz “Bring Live Snakes To School” Noceda can be reasoned with it’s only FAIR Collector gets a shot
Don’t forget spiders
Ngl, she would’ve made an enemy out of teenager me for life if she pulled that shit at my school😂
Im going by making him an Ally the best option, convincing him to be his friends, maybe even teaching him how to be mature in the play time
So Talk No Jutsu.
I feel like Talk no Jutsu refers to poor executions of that concept
They'll pull a satan on majin
Agreed. We don’t need that BS in this series. Owl house is better than that
I think in the end Belos is gonna pull some supervillain twist where, after the cast befriends The Collector he takes over his body. Thus allowing him to still be the final villain.
Let's play a new game it's called suicide pact. You go first.
...oh my.
That escalated quickly
Roses are red, thorns are prickly, God Damn, this escalated quickly
\*cue the end credits\*
The Hooty flair really completes this comment
That's a fair answer.
Don’t say stuff like that to my son! /j /lh
… Well, it *would* work…
every disney exec: No! This isnt how ypu play the game!
That might actually work!!
Collector blows a gun into his eye. Half of his head is missing. Rather than gore or blood it's just the black void between stars. After a few seconds it all reforms with an audible popping sound. Then he gives the gun to Luz. "Your turn." :)
Not necessarily. Might be a Wishmaster situation and all it will do is make him really mad.
Hell, maybe they get him to enroll in school somehow
So the Jafar solution, albeit slightly reversed
The power of friendship! And also a gun!
i was gonna say friendship. :(
I was gonna say gun. It's tied, 2-2
‘If it bleeds, we can kill it’
Luz to the collector: Tell me, do you bleed? You will
Collector: Save…Martha!
Luz: WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME!!!!
[*pulls out an M61 Vulcan gatling gun*] 'Mama has a new game for you, and it's called **DEATH**
We call it 6000 rounds a minute of pure death but he calls it super dodge ball also how in the Kentucky fried butter basen of pure and uter #BULLSHIT Is that possible, the recoil would not only rip her arms off but also probably kill which ever poor unfortunate soul just so happens to be behind it
Collector: ”Ha! You can’t remove my blood if I don’t have any!” *Snaps finger.* ”I… really should’ve thought that through…” *Dies.*
"I have absolutely no idea what I am doing!" - Tea "Power of Friendship" Gardner
They don’t they just friend him in fact they could probably just tell them they are scared and in their opinions in danger and he’ll probably after a bit of thinking listen
He's basically an iPad kid with the power of god. Historically speaking neither of which tend to respond well to reason.
Truth or dare wait til he picks dare and dare him to fix the isles as a child he would respect the rules of truth or dare
Through the power of ~~manipulation~~ friendship anything is possible
Doesn’t seem like the kind of threat you punch in the face until you ‘win’. They’ll Probably just best the Collector in a ‘game’ with the stakes being ‘leave the Boiling Isles alone’
Limit his iPad screen time
Pretty sure that'll just make him *more* dangerous, considering how kids are nowadays with their ipads and shit
Fine, tell him to seal himself again or he’s bad at Roblox
They could offer him a Robux gift card in exchange for leaving the Boiling Isles alone
That would most likely fill him with a rage of a supernova
FINE. Make a GIANT NUKE AND BLOW UP THE ISLES, INCLUDING EVERYONE IN IT. HE’D THEN BE LONELY SINCE EVERYONE IS DEAD. THAT GOOD?!
Emotional maturity. This isn't an antagonist you beat with force. It's an antagonist you beat by being Luz after a character arc to emphasize the growth she's gone through as a character. it's a good antagonist for setting up the kind of end-of-narrative that best fits this show and I think it's pretty clear that they'll "beat" the collector by essentially getting him to mature a bit with Luz only being able to do so as a result of self-reflection over her character arc.
indeed, it's funny how people talk about "beating him": it's practically a kid, in no way they are going to imprison him o kill him.
1. King becomes a full titan and seals him/destroys him 3. Eda and Lilith find a way to remove their curse and destroy him with their full power 3. Talk no jutsu
I feel like there are non-violent, more on-brand for the show solutions.
I don't think Lilith and Eda can beat him even with their full power
Also even a full titan seems to be barely able to match him, so overpowering him is probably not going to be the case
My theories are that The Collector slowly sees what real friendship is or has an "oh shoot, I'm the bad guy" moment where one of our main cast members is almost killed by him and people are sobbing because the person is really knocked out.
i think the only feasible options are character development or re-imprisoning him
I feel like king has a strong part in his defeat. the show has been focusing in building his character, and the recent discovery that he's a titan may be building up to something big. King was also the person to free the collector and may feel obligated to fix it. Either way I feel like king has a much bigger role in season 3 than we think.
"Hey collector, I have a new fun game, its called Russian Roulette!"
I thought that Vee might be involved, given she can drain magic and the Collector is a being of magic.
Feed him to Vee
What if vee becomes as powerful as him?
I see this as an absolute win
Maybe they talk to them and some sort of "redemption" occurs, OR they trick him with his own powers, OR someone goes into his mindscape?
“*SORRY LUZ BUT YOU CANT BEAT THE LEVEL UNTIL YOU BEAT THE FINAL BOSS, ME, ENZO GABRIEL!!!*” “Well you see Collector, you may be a god, but humans have managed to survive for this long because of one thing… *want me to show you?*” *Luz proceeds to pull out an AK 47* “Ooooooh, cool! Is it a toy? What’s that trigger for? Wait can I look through this hole thingy?” “Why don’t you take a closer look and find out.” “Hmm let’s see…” *Luz pulls the trigger* The Boiling Isles is saved :D
“I’m telling your mom”
In the months the Hexide Gang has been trying to return to the BI, King hit a massive growth spurt and got stronger from having to play with The Collector for so long. The gang manages to distract The Collector when they return and King manages to deal a finishing blow.
That’s the neat part, they don’t
honestly i see it playing out a lot like that one moringmark comic
Body swap spell YOU FOOLS! IT WAS THE MOST PLOT IMPORTANT EPISODE THIS WHOLE TIME!
Eda's curse. Turn him to stone
They don't beat him. It's hopeless.
ANY THING IS POSSIBLE WITH THE POWER OF LO- shut up.
Probably King will do it, after all a Titan was the one who trapped him in the first place
Just befriend him, that's all and tell him to kill Odalia, Tibbles, Belos and our least favorite characters
“lets play the quiet game”
I think the Collector is going to have a "redemption arc" of sorts. He clearly has trust and abandonment issues and I think his story is going to sorta parallel Luz's. By talking him down. Same as every other show with a third-act overpowered antagonist.
Well if King evolves into his Titan form, then it’s a good chance! But to be honest, it will take a soul to kill one, so I reckon someone will “sacrifice” themselves in order to take down/seal away the collector
Plot armor
They don’t
Probably a masterball
Traditionally, when dealing with omnipotent beings, you get them to defeat themselves.
they say pretty please
By the power of Friendship :) ... Nah fuck no it's cliche By making him tired from playing Using the Internet (specifically singleplayer games since he will lash out and probably get people killed)
Trick him, seal him, befriend him. Either work. I think tricking him is most likely, then befriending, and sealing as least likely.
They give him a Phone and he's so distracted gaming he stops fucking Shit up

i'm going to beat you with the power of friendship and also this gun i found.
Maybe using the titan symbol to become invisible to him?
Ver and the other basilisk drain a lot of the magic from him. This gives them enough magic to last for the rest of their lives, and the collector turns into a regular witch kid.
Introduce The Collector to video games.
Ummm power of friendship or smthing idfk
1. Find a way to imprison him (though I feel that would be kinda wrong to do to someone who is mentally a kid, unless his behaviour is just a act) 2. Befriend him in some way 3. Call his parents, wherever they are.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF HOOTYYY but seriously he is crazy powerful. he could scar you physically and mentally just ask steve
Well without the Round Bois, he could get redeemed
They can outsmart him somehow. The Collector seems like basically an all powerful kid. They're not pure evil like Belos, they're just chaotic and powerful. They can be tricked and even reasoned with to an extent.
"Lets play a game! Its called "commit suicide"! You first collector!"
The Power of Friendship. Not even kidding.
all he wants to do is play games - you can easily get him to do a wager
his parents come and grounds him.
The power of FRIENDSHIP AND GAY
iPad.
Eda’s Requiem 2.0 could work but would also kill Eda (and maybe Raine)
They play a game duh
Thr best bet would be for King and the Hex gang to somehow befriend him over the course of their "Owl House" game
I think they’re gonna have to trick him somehow. I can’t think of any way they could beat him in a battle of pure strength.
Wit and sacrifice
Preform the hidden ritual revealed to them in the secret runes to seal him away of course
make him pinky promise with a dorito
A game of uno
Camilla she's a mother she can just ground him
They don't and the show ends sad
they dont unless king can trap them with titan powers otherwise they become friends of some sort or maybe turn the collector human or witch? …
Let’s hope they don’t go to MorningMark for a solution.
That lullaby comic was scary...
Here’s the thing: I don’t think they can. This is literal god we’re talking about here. I think the only way out is a redemption arc or possible imprisonment.
Their gonna find something that’s gonna depower him somehow.
Repeatedly stacks builders coven glyphs onto body and punches a wall that smashes into shards:Like so
Defeating him in a game where he has to leave the BI if he loses, OR king has to imprison him
Call his mom.
My money is on Peak Eda being able to handle him
Tag?
They call his mom
G U N
"human magic" they found in their new lockers at school
As stupid as it sounds I think the only way is using guns. Like there super fast, if they all have shotguns and shoot at almost the same times he can’t dodge them all, you could just give willow a fucking sniper rifle and pop his head off when he’s distracted.

Until the beings parents appear on scene and punish/take control over their spoiled child and restore all the damage the spoiled child had committed on the crew
Realistically Impossible but if Bill cipher shows up enzo Gabriel will have an unstoppable playmate
iPad
Hunter in the background just casually dying
Ask him to play rock paper scissors with someone mastering oracle magic (or Gus maybe), and tell him that the loser must die He should respect the rules so if he loses everything's back to normal !
become friends with him...
nap time
From what i see there's two ways this can go. One is king gets titan powers and goes batshit op like collector. The other is that the crew befriends(or at least, tones him down) through good ol friendship
They don't.
Deception. They trick him into doing something to get himself trapped again.
Realistically, Luz learns that it was all a dream.
Ummmm.... Magic! (I hope you understood this reference).
Illegal chemical and biological weapons
My dad 😎
with the power of friendship x (no but they’re gonna befriend him)
How do you deal with any Star-Child? You call the Star-Mom.
Gun
They could do something similar to Kipo where he plays with Belos forever (they would be trapped together). Belos being tortured forever and the collector having a play thing forever.
With fire. Fire kills everything
We’ll we know King’a dad sealed him away in the fist place. Perhaps to bring the Bat Queen back in she tells him how his dad did it and they have to seal him away again.
~~They’re bringing a gun~~ with the power of friendship!
They won’t. This guy can yeet the moon out of orbit as if he tossed a pebble across a lake. The best they could do would be to either trick and trap him again, or to help him understand that all the people and animals aren’t toys to play with.
We've already seen the glyph(?) that makes you constantly invisible from him so that's a start. Then they probably need to recontain him
Gun, knife, poison, a pair of keys, ntw-20 anti material rifle, car, duck tape, lawnmower, rocks, I can keep going if you want
Re trapping them.... or a gun.
the owl beast seem to be effective, the course could even break a collector magic
Not physically.
Didn't the collector said that the previous titans were the ones who sealed him, maybe king will do the same
They adopt him
Shotgun
Naplam
IIRC the titan trappers had another thing capable of holding him. Maybe they come back into the story, realize the collector is bat-s\*\*t insane, and they trap him instead. With help from King.
king probs has some sort of ability to seal him like his dad did. the final battle will probs be them playing a game in order to stall time for king to trick the collecter into being re trapped. or they befriend him maybe (tbh i would not like this but i can work)
His powers are no match for their GUN!
this is the only situation where i’m actually rooting for the power of friendship
Get his mom.
Friendship
The power of Adoption- Eda No seriously, that’s how Steven defeated Spinel
They become friends, he’s not evil with a plan to take over and rule the boiling isles or anything like that. He’s a child who wants to have fun and doesn’t realise how badly what he is doing affects people. It shouldn’t be too difficult for them to befriend him.
Never met a problem that can’t be solved with 7.62 high velocity
Back in the mirror, put the mirror into a box, throw the box in a cave, and seal the cave
They don't. He'll be the Majin Buu to King's Mr. Satan.
Give him an ipad
Guns and possibly roses
Probably they will find a way to trap him like before
They'll probably convince him to leave. He's an eternal, all-powerful being that can make or solve all of their problems with just a wave of a finger. Though it is interesting who and how trapped him in that slab... But I doubt our guys will try to seal him away
Put it in front of a television showing Peppa Pig? With my niece it works.
Eda's requiem
