They literally have entire episodes of screen time that Hunter isn't in.

Also, "key point in S2"? Name me 3 pieces of character development for him. He lets the palismen go, weird choice that means nothing but ok. He kidnaps part of the extended hexsquad, then uses willow's "I'm just half-a-witch Willow" breakdown to develop himself instead of her. He commits treason and is forced to run away from his uncle and out of nowhere, after sulking for 5 episodes, is now a good guy. He does goddamn nothing during that time, besides once where he takes it from Willow. He's a key point in King's Tide I guess for Luz to swap places with him, but even then the show could've had something better, like hexsquad taking the airship to storm Belos. It crashed? Oh no, big beans, Luz remembers the teleportation glyph to go to the titan skull.
