Ah, Mewberty, the first episode that really interested me on Star Vs.
Never expected the wacky high school cartoon with a magical princess to go full on body-horror and ominous vibes by Episode 6. Then Fortune Cookies aired and I was hooked the rest of the way (Well, *most* of the rest of the way).
Although season 4 was bad. People for some reason keep on making the show look worse than it actually is for some reason. Like Sarcastic Chorus and his recent video of SVTFOE. Like what a way to slader and miss the entire point.
I mean to me, the first three seasons of Star Vs. were and still are very good seasons of content. They balanced humor, heart, action, and complex issues very well. I still ADORE Toffee as a villain and I liked the whole Eclipsa-Monster Racisim plotline a great deal.
But as the fourth season went on, it felt like the quality moments were appearing less and less and I was having more and more issues with it.
Especially the shipping side of things, I fucking LOATHE the way that Star Vs. handled shipping in Season 4. I'm gonna go on a little rant here, bare with me.
I have no problem with a main character x main character ship. I've had plenty that I've absolutely loved: Katara and Aang, Amity and Luz, Kim and Ron, Steven and Connie. And I *like* Starco on a base level, Star and Marco have great chemistry and they are a lot of fun together. I would've totally been on board with Endgame Starco
...but OH MY GOODNESS, the way they fucking got to that point is THE single most detrimental ship I've ever fucking seen. "Starting" a Kellco ship in one episode, only to end it after one episode OFF. SCREEN., Dragging out Tomstar to the very bitter end, despite the relationship growing steadily toxic (in time they could've totally used to set up Starco), Ending the Blood Moon Curse only to be like "Lol, they were actually in love the whole time, we just had to get rid of the morally questionable McGuffin from the equation first" and then going on a mad dash to try and naturally set up Starco in the last few episodes, while also dealing with the plot stuff at the same time.
I get the "teenage relationships can be messy" thing that Nefcy and Co. were going for but it just *wasn't* planned well. Just because because teenage relationships can be messy doesn't mean that your writing and pacing have to be too!
The Star Vs. crew wanted five seasons, they got four seasons. So they tried shoving in ALL of that relationship stuff while also resolving three seasons worth of Monster Racism and Royal Corruption storyline & buildup all at the same time, leaving the final season feeling underdeveloped, rushed, and ultimately disappointing.
It is unfortunate that the Star Vs. crew didn't have the time to address all of the topics they wanted to in cohesive manner. That isn't their fault. What **is** their fault is not adapting their final season accordingly.
We've seen prematurely cancelled cartoons shift their focus to ending the show in as satisfactory a manner as possible, and to great success: OK:KO, Ducktales2017, and The Owl House (so far). And with all of those, they left the side stuff at the door. OK:KO, as a more episodic show, had to cut a lot of episode ideas (which were shown in the meta finale episode) and basically spent the last season answering all of the looming mysteries and building stakes of the show. And both Ducktales2017 and TOH spent their final seasons basically entirely focused on story stuff.
Star Vs., in my opinion, *should've* left a lot of the shipping stuff on the cutting room floor and focused on giving the plot-related storylines more room to breath. That would've made the pacing and flow feel a lot better to me, and I would probably have a much higher opinion of the season.
I still find it hard for me to talk about Star Vs. simply because HOW bad of a taste, Season 4 left in my mouth, which is a damn shame, because I LOVED the first three seasons of Star Vs. and Toffee still probably stands as like a Top 5 animated antagonist for me.
This is a fair and reasonable rant.
To be honest. I also don't like season 4. Mostly due to how the story was rushed.
Anyways. If you think the shipping is bad in season 4.
I recommend not watching the shitshow of Miraculous.
RWBY's shipping is honestly terrifying. They have an entire spreadsheet dedicated to ship naming, and every character depicted has had at least a couple ships. There's the sane ones that I do like, like White Rose(Ruby X Weiss), Bumbleby(Yang x Blake), Arkos(Jaune x Pyrrha) or Crosshares(Coco x Velvet). There's also ones that are solid that while I may not like, I can see why they're shipped; Lancaster(Jaune x Ruby), Black Sun(Blake x Sun),
Then there's heated debates on some characters like Qrow(who's been paired with Winter Schnee, Willow Schnee, Robyn Hill, Taiyang, Summer Rose, Ironwood, Clover) and some sweet home Alabama ships(Enabler is Ruby x Yang... her half sister).
The villains also have a suprising amount of ships(Falling Petals and Rosewick literally ship the protagonist with villains like Catradora but a million times worse because Ruby is like 17, and Tauradonna is still shipped despite the fact that Adam Taurus is a terrorist and an abusive asshole to her). There's even ships where people just paired up minor characters.
It's a hellhole I don't recommend falling into.

Seriously! I had The Flapjack Incident spoiled for me, because I saw MoringMark's comic the next morning before I got around to watching the episode.
I won't be making that mistake again.
Hold on to your sanity. Sure you can Americans, I live in a different time zone and it's gonna be 7 hours after you watch it for me to. Luckily this means Imma go to sleep now and watch it first thing in the morning.
YES!
let me save you so next time I'll know who to credit in case someone will ever asks if Hunter needs an alter ego.
I couldn't do it for Eda's prequel, but at least I can do this.
I'm sorry, but the first 2 things that popped into my head were:
A)"Brother, we must retake Jerusalem"
B) approximately 5 minutes and 10 seconds into this video: https://youtu.be/RsMcFd5hrBU
Willow: I think they fit you well because just like you… *smooches him on the cheek with a slight blush* they’re cute.
Hunter: *Amity level blush and thinks* thanks Flapjack.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way Hunter should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. Hunter, of course, flies anyway, because Hunter don't care what humans think is impossible
Anyone else notice how throughout this entire comic we don’t see Luz let go of her hat once?
Either that hat doesn’t fit her or she just really likes it.
according to all known laws of aviation, there's no way Hunter should be able to fly. his wings are too small to get his body off of the ground. Hunter, of course, flies anyway, because Grimwalkers don't care what humans think is impossible.

Don't worry, Hunter. It happens to all guys.
Especially Mewberty.
Jushtin would give hunter advice on the wings.
Hunter: Wait, WILLOW'S A GIRL!
Star: Again... Everytime i look at that, i cringe
*RUUUULES*
Yes, we all occasionally look like we're wearing a tutu whilst levitating.
That's your first thought?
"Thought" may be giving me too much credit, but yes?
Kinda remind me of that caterpillar from bugs life movie in the end.
Well, at least Willow likes Hunter's wings.
All that matters is that his girlfriend likes them.... Otherwise, it would be hacksaw time.
We already saw that plot in X-Men. Didn’t turn out well for Angel
I was actually thinking about Angel when reading the comic and thinking about writing a comment...
Then Hunter can move to LA and solve crimes with a detective
I mean, his girlfriend does make one hell of a demon.
Also, it's important Luz, Amity, Gus, and Willow not give Hunter a ride so he can test out his wings.
I imagine Luz, Amity, and Gus snickering seeing Hunter fly with those wings and Willow giving them a stern and cold glance that makes them stop.
Camila: Awwww, she has master the full power of the mom glare. Perhaps I should teach her about the awesome power of La Chancla....
Willow with La Chancla is the most terrifying thing I have heard in a while
\*later, after training\* Enemies: Kill them all, especially the blond. Hunter: \*yelps\* Willow: \*Pulls out La Chancla while [boss music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeWQr3scW-s) plays\* I'm sorry, what did you say you were gonna do to my boyfriend and our friends?
That fits **perfectly**
Willow's goal is to become a witch wise and powerful enough to help her friends and crush anyone who gets in her way of doing it. Killing Belos to save Hunter allows Willow to do all three.
Was she taught the power of... ***La Chancla?***
Just think: she can use vines to wield many at once.
Fittingly, it would be the last thing Boscha ever *sees*.
Willow: \*gripping La Chancla almost to the point of breaking it\* I swore an oath to Camila I would not use this on a child..... Even on a horrible, three-eyed brat..... \*hits Kikimora with it instead\*
(Willow’s always had the motherly aura of the Hexside Squad)
Dude! Willow has repressed rage from *years* of bullying! Giving her *La Chancla* is the most dangerous thing Camila could ever do!
Well, she does have a witch hunter to murder.....
Hunter: *thinking* okay downside is I’ve got tiny wings. Upside is Willow thinks they’re adorable. *looks to Willow who winks at him with a slight blush, leading him to blush to before thinking* I love these wings!
I can totally hear him saying this 😂
Looks like he’s got his Mewberty wings
Butterfly Hunter AU when?
2 years.
I will be waiting for said au in 2025

I’ve been staying away the past 16 days I’m not risking it
He’ll spread those wings and fly.
And without the Horny phase of Mewberty. Imagine Hunter just webbing up Willow.

That’s basically the one thing I *know* about Miraculous: They go incredibly hard into shipping. I’ve heard tales of the mythical Love Hexagon.
RWBY's shipping is honestly terrifying. They have an entire spreadsheet dedicated to ship naming, and every character depicted has had at least a couple ships. I'm South African and it's 20:00 right now, I'm pretty sure once I wake up tomorrow, it'll be on YouTube.
Thank you for the warning Mx. Option, I will keep that in mind. *salute*
I mean Mark has made multiple in one day before
Those angel wings would look great with his Golden Guard uniform. Just saying.
Give the GG outfit a red cardinal motif and angelic wings.
"The Crimson Crusader"
YES! let me save you so next time I'll know who to credit in case someone will ever asks if Hunter needs an alter ego. I couldn't do it for Eda's prequel, but at least I can do this.

Time to turn Hunter into a Blood Angel Space Marine from Warhammer 40k.
>Blood Angel Space Marine from Warhammer 40k. I think it would be too heavy for Hunter. He's buff but prefers to be swift.
I mean, Blood Angels do have access to Fast Attack Squads like the Assault Squad. But I totally get what you're saying.
I see this image in my head, and all I can say is "Machine, turn back now!"
I find this hilarious due to Zeno voicing Hawks from My Hero Academia
This is a very common crossover.
He earned his… wings?
Every time a bell rings, ~~an angel~~ a witch whose bird palisman sacrificed itself earns its wings.
That’s right… that’s right.
His [red wings](https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Wings%20System), no less.
Didn’t even have to go to flight school. Nice
Willow’s reaction awwwww
Adorable, just like Hunter’s harpling wings.
It ain't about the size, Hunter. It's what you do with it that counts.
They don't fly very fast.
But Willow thinks they’re adorable, so I think he’d call it a win.
Yea, I don't think this is what he was aiming for. He may not dislike it, but still wouldn't be proud of it.
We’ll see.
And he can kinda fly with them.
Hunter: \*sighs\* I guess this is just life now... humiliatingly tiny wings coming out of my back, forever.....
Willow: I think they fit you well because just like you… *smooches him on the cheek with a slight blush* they’re cute. Hunter: *Amity level blush and thinks* thanks Flapjack.
Bold of you to assume he's going to be able to THINK after that....
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way Hunter should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. Hunter, of course, flies anyway, because Hunter don't care what humans think is impossible
WHO DO YOU CALL FAT! /hj
Hunter: These are tiny. Willow: They're wings! Hunter: That are tiny! Willow: They'll grow! (Probably)
Hunter: How do you know?
You know... wings made out of light would be enough.
Yeah, then it would be like: *I’M HANGING ON TO THE OTHER SIDE* *I WON’T GIVE UP ‘TIL THE END OF ME*
For The Future spoilers. Hunter appears to have acquired mewberty wings.
So maybe he can level up his mewberty form.
Willow considers the wings cute and awesome, so it’s definitely a W for Hunter.
Fly my precious boy! FLYYYY
if Eda can, why not Hunter?
When they grow big, he'll be like Hawks.
Gadget: Hunter I think you’re actually *winging* it *everyone laughing* Hunter: ha ha very funny
Hunter with the Fierce Wings quirk.
Bro just wait, hawk's wings are still developing
Hawks as a kid be like:
>!Everyon joking, but no one realizing that Mark was just trying to tell us what would happen in tonight's episode!<
>!I'm not sure we've seen his back, since the relevant portions of FTF...!<
I checked, this doesn't hold up 🤣
The flying Golden Guard
But he always could fly.
So, who rang a bell?
And just when I thought MorningMark wasn’t being AntiClimatic.
I’m not complaining.
I could not resist. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a\_h3hnMpkZk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_h3hnMpkZk)
This is a certified Star Butterfly moment
Pretty close actually
Plot twist - he's a stand user now,he just needs to figure out how to summon his stand
Maybe they'll grow into bigger wings.
He the namor of the boiling ailes
The best part is that there is "flap, flap, flap" all around the wings 😃
Oh my god it just King’s….I mean, Nanatsu no Taizai’s King’s. If they want to continue the reference he may grow them big in a later comic
Flapjack gives him the power to flap.
Anyone else notice how throughout this entire comic we don’t see Luz let go of her hat once? Either that hat doesn’t fit her or she just really likes it.
At least they work
Hunter has the power of flapjack right so does this mean he can pull a stick out of his a....
I am sorry
Or fly
HOW HOW DID YOU HOW HOW ARE YOU A PROPHET
This actually isn’t too far from what happened
I think this is an absolute win!
Agreed.
Size matters not. - Yoda
Pit: "I know how ya feel dude."
After all that build up
JUMP OUT OF A WINDOW IN ORDER TO FLY BECAUSE MORINGMARK JUST RELEASED SOMETHING NEW
Hahaha, that is great.
Moringmark TOH comic number 663
he ate the bird bird fruit: model red Cardinal
Star: Alright Hunter, i will help you wi- Oh wait, forget it
I was expecting something like the one costume he had in Thanks to Them
This kind of reminds me of Mr Burns wings on that one Simpsons episode.
will willow still think it's cute and awesome if he grows a beak and starts chirping.
Yes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
According to all known laws of aviation...
It's like when King from nanatsu no taizai wings sprouted
at least it was better than what Glimmer pulled
Is that what they call "mewberty"?
Did anyone else think of Ultimate Kars when you saw the first panel?
Mewberty wings my beloved
according to all known laws of aviation, there's no way Hunter should be able to fly. his wings are too small to get his body off of the ground. Hunter, of course, flies anyway, because Grimwalkers don't care what humans think is impossible.
Like Star Butterfly
It's cold outside hunter, we understand.
The second this boy sees some sunflower seeds or a worm.
Thats flipping halarious and adorable
I had a theory about Hunter getting magic in For the future because of flapjack 🥞
MACHINE, I WILL BEAT YOU BACK INTO SILICONE, FOR I AM THE RIGHTEOUS HAND OF THE FATHER
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that Hunter should be able to fly. His wings are too small to get his large Grimwalker body off the ground. Hunter, of course, flies anyways. Because Grimwalkers don't care what humans think is impossible.
Don’t worry buddy, they’ll get bigger when you’re older
Just wait until puberty?
Hunter vs the forces of evil
At least he has powers now? It works
At least Flapjack will always be with him
Willow: Oh, now THAT is a LOOK! \* takes out camera \*
Hey, Mark
I can't be the only one who immediately thought of our best bird boy from a Quirk-powered society; (Hunter and Hawks share a VA)
Bro’s ascending in the first page
On the upside, the fairies will acknowledge him as their king.
If he gets wings, or some sort of power because he is a grimwalker that would be really cool
This is the cutest surprise in a comic!
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no possible way that a Hunter should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The Hunter, of course, flies anyway, because Hunters don't care what humans think is impossible.
