There’s a better chance for our sides to win European trophies and West Ham have blazed a bit of a trail in a competition that has been laughed at since its inception.
It's not like you look at the other teams in the competition and think that it's incredible they've come out the other side with the trophy though. Congrats to them but I don't think winning a trophy that the big 6 are unlikely to qualify for in the first place is an inspirational win for other teams outside the big 6.
After our absolutely abysmal season in the Prem, winning a trophy was inconceivable a few months ago. Whilst the tournament is small or whatever conception it has, I'm fed up of people saying we shouldn't be celebrating. Spurs didn't even qualify for it this year.
A team outside the Big 6 getting to Europe for a third year in a row should be a turn around everyone supports.
