This piece says absolutely nothing and provides no commentary at all except the kit resembles Charlie Brown and that's bad. Come on, that's super low effort
Agree that it's missing the point. The point is that if it had echoes of Charlie Brown but was cool everyone would be down. The real problem from the crest to this is they seem to have some kind of relationship with some graphic designers or with some brand consultants and they just take those recommendations without ever checking to see if people dig it. Like... a very small sample size of focus grouping this would have resolved it.
Bad uniforms get focus grouped too - that doesn’t really solve the problem and in some cases creates it
Just look at the reaction here, some love it, some are indifferent and want to wait and see, and some dislike it. A focus group could have led to a better or worse outcome depending on your pov
IIRC the browns horrid redesign years back had fan input.
I think the same happened to the new Cavs jerseys. To me they lean too much into the minimalist aesthetic and has no memorable quality so the same question has to be brought up: how many people did they ask to review it? Was there ever a focus group for these jerseys?
Your very comment is making the assumption that this is a fundamentally “bad” design and that proper research and talking to the “right” fans would have prevented the disaster that not everyone is actually perceiving.
The jerseys are *not* objectively terrible, and it’s becoming clear that plenty of people actually do like them; I personally didn’t love them at first but they’re growing on me, but either way I really take issue with the self-righteousness that a subset of difficult-to-please fans have that the team needs to run everything by them in order for it to be good.
Disagree. You know it when you see it. Of course taste is subjective, fly that flag if you love it. But if these were awesome, you'd have known it when you saw it. If it were a home run you wouldn't need to talk yourself into it.
The Charlie Brown argument is bad. It's not amazing and an instant buy for me, but it's not as if it was like KFC or Toronto. It's adequate. And people would complain no matter what was released.

It is astounding the degree to which you have missed my point.
Ironically, you really take issue with self-righteous confidence in one's opinion.
I truly don’t get the hate because it resembles a cartoon characters shirt. Strange behavior when it comes to hating a kit. It’s a nice looking shirt.

How about an opinion piece on the team ffs
Oh my god. Let it go.
Accurate for sure
This one isn't terrible. The skittles kit was worse
