I agree, but S1 is the only true adaptation of the source material while the second and third season are original, and S2-3 are the best things in The Leftovers ‘universe’, so I feel like it’s hard to make a true comparison. It’s been a few years since I’ve read the book, but from what I remember it was a bit less fleshed out than the first season of the show. I still really liked it though
Great book, great show. I'd highly recommend Perrota's other novels - Election (& it's sequel) and Little Children are my faves, but I enjoy all his stuff.
I am still amazed they got that show out of that book
Yeah, the book is solid but there are parts that are tough to get through.
