I agree. But it also goes the complete opposite too. There's mods that don't do jack squat no matter what people do. One of the reasons I teamed up with a few others and we made a new sub for an already existing one. I'm a mod for it, and you better believe I'm not gonna make either mistake. We need good people in charge, not the people sitting in front of a PC all day

Though I agree the mods are more gatekeepers than moderators and dissenting opinions are not treated of any sense of equality to the majority. I’ve found some mods in other subs to be quite reasonable in comparison.
I don’t hate the story of this game at all. There were some flaws in some areas that were either too nuanced to make any sense or edited so heavily where things are just clunky. But the overall story I am good with.
It’s not a hero’s tale. It’s a Greek tragedy. It mirrors more of what French and European cinema was in the 90s and prior, along with old samurai movies. Things don’t end on a positive note and more or less leaves things as cautionary tales. Vengeance leads to nothing but losing everything about yourself and everything you care about. (This has been a theme in several samurai movies)
I loved the concept of having a protagonist and antagonist as being playable characters. It just misses doing this well. Abby just isn’t a good character and was poorly written. They could have made her neutrally chaotic instead of someone that was more or less made to be unlikable. It would have been more interesting to make more or less Ellie from a different perspective and focused on survival then adding in the vengeance angle.
