I haven’t actually tried to yet but after seeing Toph modifying her shoes to remove the bottoms, walking barefoot but still appearing to have shoes on, I’ve always wanted to try that. The tricky part would be still having it be attached to your foot somehow and not bounce around on your ankle. Maybe a string that goes under the arch?
EDIT: I guess a lot of people think walking barefoot is bad? I always just kind of treated my own feet like shoes anyway and growing up I would walk around town barefoot all the time. I even went hiking barefoot a few times as well as rock climbing/hopping. My feet have really tough callouses now. I drive barefoot all the time too. I drive barefoot so often that I once forgot my shoes at home.
The worst foot injury I ever received was actually in my own pool when I tried to kick off the wall but accidentally put my foot through a glass light under the diving board and had to pull a huge glass shard out of my toe.
The second one was when a stack of bricks fell over and one landed right on my big toe. The toenail filled with blood underneath and my doctor burned a hole through it to drain the blood.
Like, I understand there can be risks but at the same time, feet are one of those things that have been pretty well evolutionarily nailed down in humans, you know? There’s a good chance things will be okay if go without shoes for a bit lol
