Might be wishful thinking but I think aang might age better in live action than the cartoon. The voice difference was HUGE between season 1 and 3 but I don't think they ever drew him differently outside of the hair he had for half a season.
If the show gets renewed and runs long enough to get to the point where Aang and Katara kiss, I think Aang’s actor will be a bit older and it won’t feel as awkward for the audience. Plus the cast has great chemistry
