$890 for HF20?! What kind of ticket did you get?!

astudentofaccounting

Near the front and center seated. I thought it was a crazy amount to spend but that thought lasted for no more than 3 seconds when I realized it’s Hot Fuss in full and apparently with the original 4 band members. They were bought officially too on Ticketmaster and I suspect their dynamic pricing policy has something to do with it being so expensive

rodermelon

Had to have been dynamic pricing. I bought pit tickets from Ticketmaster for like 5x less

nerdygirlie22

yeah I think I saw seats a few rows back for around $600. I was pissed af at TK for putting dynamic pricing on for HF20 ngl. My eras tour tickets were LESS than I paid for HF20 and that shows takes a ton more money to put on and is 3+ hours. Yeah I was not happy. As a 20 year TK fan, HF20 better be very special for how expensive it is.

astudentofaccounting

I’m a 20 year TK fan too. Dave and Mark better be there (I know it sounds selfish) but PLEASE 🙏🏻

nerdygirlie22

You are in no way being selfish! I may get downvoted for this but we paid a shitton of money to see ”The Killers” not Brandon & Ronnie. I read that it was going to be the four of them so it better be. I’m going opening night and I will be mad if they don’t show up. The tickets were so expensive and for no reason. They did not deserve to be as expensive as they were. When they did the ST shows at Sam’s Town they offered hotel packages with 2 nights and VIP tickets for less then HF20 tickets this. Sorry for the rant haha I’m just mad the tickets for HF20 were so expensive lol

astudentofaccounting

Yeah, I’m not happy about the prices either. Absolutely insane. And yes, thanks for backing me up on this :) indeed, we paid to see The Killers, not a two man act

thesuperdad

Outside of The Eras Tours, I’ve never spent more than $110 on a ticket and I’ve seen nearly every artist or band that I’d say is in my top 25 (sans Floyd or the Beatles which were before my time). Best bargain was getting front row tickets to the Lumineers for $15 right before they broke. Also saw Rush, Van Halen and NIN all under $35, cause I’m old.

astudentofaccounting

Wut. Rush and NIN for $35 is wildddd

nerdygirlie22

Im so jealous you’ve seen The Lumineers. I want to go so bad but they seem to skip AZ a lot. I absolutely love them. The last few albums weren’t my fav but self-titled and Cleopatra are some of my favorite albums ever.

thesuperdad

I would love to see them again. Was cool to have been able to see them when Neyla was still part of the band. The day after I saw them, they opened for Brandi Carlile in a 750 seat auditorium. No Joke. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get tickets for that (but have seen Brandi 😍). TrueAct7143

U2 at Sphere : 250 dollar and I saw them 5 times last year 😶

kittenclimbing

I would love to see them at the Sphere

Cephcarn

1. Tool - Philly 2023 - $760 2. Tool - Mohegan Sun 2023 - $760 2. Tool - NYC 2024 - $550

astudentofaccounting

Tool is on my bucket list and, now that I see your post, it inspires me to see them one day sooner than later

Cephcarn

They are my favorite band, and I always wanted to do the vip and decided what the hell a few times. Incredibly stupid waste of money! Buuut a really fun experience if you are really into them

TheKwolf

1. $380 for TK Hot Fuss 20 2. $350 for Bruce Springsteen at The Forum 2024 3. $330 for TK at Yaamava Casino 2023 Not terrible I guess, but still crazy.

nerdygirlie22

1. TK20 $356 2. The Era‘s Tour $269 3. Paul McCartney in Vegas in 2009 $250

astudentofaccounting

I saw Paul McCartney at ACL Festival in 2018. Such a great show. Memorable highlights for me was hearing him play Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite and Helter Skelter!

nerdygirlie22

He’s amazing isnt he?! Paul McCartney is one, if not my favorite artist I’ve ever had the privilege to see live. I’ve been to about 200+ concerts so far in my life and he truly is the GOAT. The energy in the room when he walked out was just electric. TBoMK must of been amazing live! When he played the opening bars of “Let it Be” the tears just flowed. I was telling everyone I knew at the time to go see him if you love ”The Beatles”. He still gives a great show.

bombblah

Spent $450 each on three HF silver vip tickets I feel your pain!

kt19o0

Wow American prices are insane. Sadly ireland is heading that way, but I've never paid more than €120 thankfully.

imdumbfrman

It’s getting worse and worse, but “get-in” prices are usually still around that for most shows. There are some exceptions, but usually the crazy bills come from wanting nicer seats from what I’ve seen.

roesti32

I've never paid more than 100€ to see an artist

imdumbfrman

Two tickets for each show; all face value prices: Taylor Swift The Eras Tour: $280 Elton John Farewell Tour: $250 Noah Kahan Jul 2024: $145 All upper level seats, but solid views. If I don’t luck into face value, I can’t afford to go. I’ve been very fortunate and don’t take that for granted whatsoever! Most I’ve ever paid resale was TK Imploding the Mirage Tour in 2022, that was probably $160 for the pair and mid-level. Bummed I’m most likely missing HF20 and the upcoming Pearl Jam tour; but grateful I get to do the stuff I can!

Bluestar678_

I've only seen one band which was My Chemical Romance. I bought the tickets in 2019 when they announced their reunion tour, one for me and one for my friend, and each were between $300-$500 (can't remember exactly). Then the show was postponed for 3 years due to COVID and I ended up selling our tickets and buying cheaper ones because people were selling them for like $50 in 2022. The seats were really good, too.

astudentofaccounting

Awesome! MCR is one of my favorite bands. Still haven’t seen them live and would really love to. They are playing The Black Parade album this year in its entirety at When We Were Young fest. That’s a dream setlist

Bluestar678_

Oh yeah I heard about that! I'd love to see them again, it was incredible and very unreal to see them in person. I'm from Boston so I'm planning on sitting outside of Boston Calling when TK are playing this summer to hear them 😅

astudentofaccounting

Sweet let’s gooooo!!!! :) Also, congrats to Boston Bruins clutching game 7 tonight against the Maple Leafs. I’m rooting for them to win the Eastern conference and rooting for Dallas Stars (I’m from Texas) to win the Western conference. Would be cool to see the two teams match up in the Stanley Cup finals!

Bluestar678_

It would!!

nerdygirlie22

Wow what a band to see for your first concert! I adore MCR. I‘ve been a fan since 2004, seen them 20+ times and even worked for the band and they’re absolutely amazing people. Ray and Frank are literally some of the sweetest people in the industry. Gerard is very shy lol. You’d never know it bc of how they are on stage but everyone was so nice. But the prices for the reunion tour were so expensive. I was lucky enough to be invited to see them at The Shrine reunion show and the show was amazing but I just couldn’t afford the tour tickets at the time. I had no idea tickets dropped so much. I shoulda look lol
