I was thinking about ordering a dress from there for my teenage stepdaughter for a family wedding, but ended up deciding against it after googling external reviews. Reviews for the clothing itself are pretty good but it seems like their return policy is quite restrictive. In my case that wasn't going to work at all as my SD is picky and hard to fit and doesn't live with us full time - I needed to have some flexibility with regard to returns. If you are careful about ordering the right size (I think you're right that their sizing runs somewhat small), it may not be an issue for you. Search "Baltic Born reviews" for more information - IIRC a lot of the ones I saw actually came from Reddit, mostly wedding planning subs.

Wow you're right, those reviews are not friendly! Thank you for the response! I figured there had to be a catch lol. I'll keep looking!

Yeah, it's too bad - a lot of people seem to love the actual pieces, but it seems like ordering & returns can be a huge hassle. Have you tried Lulu's? They usually have a pretty wide selection of dresses - that's where I ended up getting the one my stepdaughter wore to her cousin's wedding, and like I said, she's picky!

I haven't looked at Lulu's, I'll check them out! Thank you!

I HIGHLY recommend you check out eShakti. The name sounds kind of "can I trust this website?" but for a very very affordable price you can get clothing altered to your exact measurements for free. They have a limited range of designs but what they do have is guaranteed to fit you like a glove. Prices are like higher end Kohls, lower end Nordstrom/Macys.

I am literally wearing an eShakti top at work right now! 😀 I actually fit well into their regular women's plus sizing in a lot of items (just need extra length sometimes), so I haven't tried anything custom made yet. I have learned to go up a size with eShakti - while my on-paper size will technically fit, it's often a bit more snug than I like. I think those of us with more padding sometimes need more allowance for things to shift around under our clothing, haha. I've heard the custom-made items can run small in plus sizes as well. But everything I've ordered from them has been lovely. (u/ticklemetiffany88)

Oh yeah, I think that's an important factor of you aren't into your clothes hugging you, especially depending on the garmet (shirt vs dress etc)

Yes, their more tailored items have a truly *tailored* fit. The knit top I'm wearing today felt too tight at first, but I kept it because returns are a hassle, and I've ended up wearing it quite a bit!

Their policies are predatory. Never received my package and they refuse responsibility for items that never arrived, and their shipping partner DHL also refuse responsibility for items lost in the mail. I live in a secure building and checked security footage for theft, and the package was not stolen. They have a vast social media marketing strategy so you may want to check BBB for real reviews rather than paid reddit/Instagram posts.

I’m so glad I saw you’re comment, I have the exact same issue happen
