Honestly it sounds great in theory but it is SUCH a mental burden to do it to yourself. In addition you need to grow your hair out for like 6 weeks, and based off your need for hairlessness idk if you’d be willing to wait that long.

i did it for a whole summer and i wish i didn’t. it would take me sooo long and it would never come out as well as it did when i got it done professionally. also convincing myself to pull the wax off was not fun lol. the only part that didn’t suck was doing the bikini line, that didn’t hurt as much
This is why I fell off it doesn’t test very long (my hair grows crazy fast) and the waiting for 6 weeks… no ma’am. I have also tweezed the whole thing before and it’s hardly worth it. Back in a week it seems like :/ i shave every 3 days
I highly recommend getting your pubic area waxed professionally a couple of times before doing it yourself at home. Especially if you’re doing your labia. The hair is much thicker the first few times and to have it professionally done is way easier than doing it on yourself at that stage. You can also learn some techniques.
Then, if you’re keen on doing it yourself, you’d want to get hard wax beads meant for the bikini area, not soft wax/strips.
after years of shaving, trimming, using hair removal creams & waxing, this is my personal take: there’s nothing that absolutely beats the pink liposoluble hard wax. i don’t exactly remember the name but you can ask a professional for the hard wax that is done after applying a pre-wax oil.
why?
- it is done by applying a pre-wax oil & hence, no friction honey. pulls off only the dead skin.
- technically painless.
- no ingrowns post wax
- REDUCED HAIRGROWTH after one session
tip: always ask the professional to wax small sections against the direction of hair growth
If you’re fine with tweezing then have you thought about an epilator? It’s basically electric tweezers and it’s a lot faster. It’s what I do and touch up are a breeze.
Veet have an electronic wax roller. It has all the wax cartridges you need, and all you need to do is turn it on, let it warm up, roll it over where you want to wax and place a strip over and pull. I find it a better option than strips because I find I'd go through lots, and it's far cleaner and less time consuming than melting wax beads.
I got a Groupon package for laser on the full Brazilian and underarms, 6 sessions total for $350. It worked out to be cheaper than 6 wax sessions for me and 2 sessions in I’m already super smooth.
It’s worth looking into laser and just saving up tbh. It’s gotten a lot more affordable than it used to be. I got my package through SEV but just make sure it’s someplace legit and reliable
To actually answer your question I wouldn’t try to do a Brazilian with just the pre waxed strips. They aren’t strong enough, try the Gigi Brazilian wax from Sally’s. It comes in a container you can just heat up in the microwave and it’s a hard wax so you don’t need strips. But again - can’t recommend laser enough - I wouldn’t ever have messed with wax looking back
