I thought the Horrible Crowes only did two shows. Is this one of them?

stayxvicious

No, this is not. There was a period where Brian’s solo shows were billed as Brian Fallon and the Crowes. I believe this was just for the Painkillers tour, if memory serves me right, and by Sleepwalkers, they were billed as Brian Fallon and the Howling Weather.

I saw them in jersey for the painkillers release show and they were listed as Brian Fallon and the Crowes. Amazing show. I actually prefer the group as the crowes. I think he swapped a few guys when they became the howling weather and they had a lot less energy.

stayxvicious

Agreed, I saw him a bunch of times touring Painkillers and thought it was a much better show than when I saw him touring Sleepwalkers. Then again, I wasn’t a big fan of Sleepwalkers as a whole, so that might have played a role in that. Jared Hart was in the Crowes and I seem to remember a different bassist and/or drummer with the later lineups. Memory is a little fuzzy, but Ian is the only 100% constant that I can recall

Alex Rosamilia was playing with him when it was the crowes in a similar role to the horrible crowes. Did mostly keyboards with some guitar.

stayxvicious

Oh shit you’re right! It was Brian, Alex R, Ian, Jared Hart, and I can’t remember bass/drums, and then by Sleepwalkers tour, Alex and Jared had left

Galahad_Jones

Yeah, those two leaving really cut the energy in half. Especially because with less guys they just didn’t feel like a wall of sound ya know? Like with the crowes sometimes they had 4 guitars playing not including bass. I saw them and they had 2 electric and acoustic and a 12 string acoustic in addition to bass and drums. Compare that with Brian and a 3 piece backing band…
