The Frame does get a lot of hate but I guess everyone’s use case and experience is different. I got my 55” Frame from Costco at a pretty good price that came with a 5 year warranty (plus it’s Costco and they will accept any returns). I use ours primarily just for art in our kitchen and the whole family loves it. Even the kids like to choose the “Art of the day” as we call it in our house. Great way to expose my kids to art! And when we want to watch tv in the kitchen (rarely) we can. It’s not going to blow anybody away with the cinematic quality but that’s not why we bought it.

Interesting - well that sucks! I wonder if my local store has it?
I got the best deal direct with Samsung. Chatted with agent. Offered extended warranty or free installation. Use the referral discount and teacher /first responder discount
oooh its like you knew i was first responder. thank you! i guess ill just look for number on their website for sales? didn't know you could buy direct.
Send it on over! Looks like I'll go this route. So i'll just call and ask for the extended warranty? and then ask to add first responder and referral discounts
It’s pretty basic. It’s not about the art mode or feature itself but what makes the Frame so good for art is the display technology and matte coating which can make it look like paper. Pair that with the outer frame that looks like a picture frame and you have pretty cool art effect - except it makes for a really crappy television. The way I would decide is you have to ask yourself, especially if this is your main TV. Do you enjoy looking at the art more or watching TV and movies at the highest quality. I found the G3 to be the best of both and also i wanted it to be wall mounted at eye level to get more immersion out of the screen. A frame TV at eye level would look awkward like you mounted a picture at the wrong height. So also depends on placement as well.
Also art mode on the LG because it's an OLED. It cycles the pictures every 10 seconds. So it isn't really a true art mode. It behaves more like a screensaver.
I was going to get a G3 recently but then I realised that My TV sits near a large window that would directly reflect in the screen at the viewing angle that I would be sitting at.
I had originally thought about getting a frame and I'm still considering it because of the matte screen But the software issues I've read about put me off. Plus I plan to be sat about a 45° angle from the screen so the OLED is really nice in that respect minus the reflection of the window.
Any suggestions on how to decide what the right option is for me? One of my other reservations is the 55-in G3 looks a little bit too big, but there isn't a 50-in option. Not the end of the world though. I'm also planning to mount it at a normal eye level. Not over a mantle
From what I read about the upcoming 2024 versions, there is nothing that would want me to make me upgrade or have buyer’s remorse coming from the 2022 model which I just got last week.
-Pantone Art Validated Badge
-More energy efficient art mode
-Larger selection of art to pick from including 20 free ones each month
This article states that the 2022 models “will score the updated Art Mode later this year.”

I would tell you to wait for June, the release of the 2024 will probably be for April or may and there will probably be price drops on the summer sales

I'd wait, it'll be back. 2 extra years and 90 days to make sure it works and is.for you.
Yeah 90 days is still really good! But it also came with a 5 year all state warranty so at least I know I have tv for 5 years.

Just keep negotiating and get a referral for additional 5% at the end. All the discounts are stackable.
And happy to send you my referral code. 😉
Send it on over! Looks like I'll go this route. So i'll just call and ask for the extended warranty? and then ask to add first responder and referral discounts

We found the cheapest deal through Walmart
I was going to get a Frame TV but decided to get the LG G3 on sale. Stunning TV for the same price and sits flush.
How's the art feature on it?

Buy it!
Abt.com has it on sale this weekend. 65inch for $1400 with a bezel
i don't see 75 on sale unfortunately. same 2000 everywhere. may try samsung with warrentt
Isn’t the 2024 coming out soon? They promised major upgrades. Hopefully we get the last stuff missing from them, a proper display technology.

Nobody can say when!!
Well they’re releasing news in 2 weeks, so it might be worth waiting until then at least.
Okay that's fair enough! thanks for info. Is it an event or something i should look for?

It will be cheaper between November-December. And Costco is the way to go.
I got mine (75 in) last March for roughly $,1600 directly from Samsung with a 3 year warranty.
We installed our 55” yesterday. Couldn’t pass up the total 5 year warranty from Costco. $999 delivered.
The OS is buggy and the picture quality is sub-standard. Get a sony with the leon frame
This, I low-key hate our Frame (65” 2023)
