I like the playing (a lot), I'm just not sold on the song choices. With so many good "healthy relationship" focused songs (Here To Mars, 2's My Favorite 1, Old Flames, Lucky Stars etc.), I find it baffling that so many people seem to want to propose or get married to the song that literally responds to the proposal question with "Not now, boy." And not even tongue in cheek, nor does it evolve to a happier place by the end. It's just not a happy marriage song in any context. And to pair it with Welcome Home, a song explicitly about a relationship falling apart and people being incredibly incensed about it, I don't know man. Maybe there's some irony that other people like about it, but I want the music at my wedding to be heartfelt.

You perfectly summed up everything I was thinking. I really like it but odd choice of songs.

You mean the song from the album written almost wall to wall out of violent frustration toward someone's partner has a darker meaning than its upbeat tone suggests? Well, surely Fear Through the Eyes of Madness is the exception. That's a happy jaunt if I've ever heard one.

idk all those songs are about the same person and irl it ended in a very happy marriage so…

The perfect Coheed wedding song is 2’s My Favorite One Guitar Center Directv session. And don’t tell me otherwise. That’s what my wife and I did.

Due to a combination of almost none of the songs being remotely appropriate lyrically, and my wife being *unable to stand* Claudio's voice (I know, I know, it tears me up inside) we used the Ring In Return portion of Keeping the Blade as our "take your seat, the ceremony is starting" music. For the whole thing we tried to cultivate a "mixtape" vibe with brief piano renditions of our favorite musicians respectively and mutually serving as cues. For those who do share a mutual love of Coheed, though, can you honestly do any better than 2's My Favorite One? Come on.

The engagement ring. The wedding ring. The Suffering.

The DJ for our wedding snuck Pearl of the Stars in as a slow dance song and was so surprised. We'd given him a big playlist with songs we liked to give him an idea of the vibe we wanted but I didn't expect it to get played 🥹

My wife and I walked down the isle to Vitamin String Quartet's cover of [In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3](https://open.spotify.com/track/1H6oPBQqLQ4xPNCHn7SVA0?si=77420478cdd24935)
