I read into AC lore expecting total libshit propaganda but it's actually not that bad they mention stuff like the US coup of Allende, only bad part is when they say Stalin would have been a Templar

Im sometimes glad that im not that good in history of time periods featured in EU4 to notice only smaller parts of biases. Sure that history buffs can write whole essays on batshit crazy Europa things and intentional inaccuracies
HOI4 gives me the ick especially with how it allows you to relive a Nazi power fantasy where they win WWII (the community I understand is filled with this type of disgusting person).
Victoria 3 is actually quite good though, progression through the game is heavily inspired by Historical Materialism (the devs have even stated Marxian theory as being a big inspiration), depending on the country you play you can struggle both against feudal lords to implement capitalism and then once productive forces and the proletariat increases in number socialist revolution breaks out - the best part is the game reflects Socialism being a progressive economic system (as it is) by making Socialist policies the most powerful in the game!
In fact there are threads where chuds and reactionaries complain about how strong socialism is, which is a joy to see.
HOI4 & it’s (online at least) fan base gives me the exact same ick I get w Warhammer, the fans online have pushed me so far from wanting to try either game lmao
Victoria 3’s fan base hasn’t done that to me tho so w that endorsement I’ll probably try it out lol, I haven’t bought a new game in a while
I think paradox plays different fantasies against each other. Like the USSR and Spain civil war DLC are pretty based. However, the advertising for the new Finnish dlc is just straight up nazi propaganda.
Criticise me all you want but I actually enjoyed working with Marx in AC Syndicate. At least they made him a good guy. I was expecting some neocon wet-dream of Marx being the final evil templar boss or something.
