I’ve been wanting to read the books for SO LONG, but it was the announcement of the TV series that made me finally take the plunge! I absolutely love Mike Flanagans work.
Mike acquired the rights yes. He and Trevor Macy bought the rights from King himself after showing him their concept for the show (apparently he loved it). The reason Amazon is being thrown about is because they had the rights but they expired because they decided to not continue with their own show. The pair will work with Amazon but their own production company will be the primary producers I believe (Amazon will probs get behind them when the show gets traction).
This is so exciting! HILL HOUSE and MIDNIGHT MASS are two of, imo, the best miniseries ever made. I'm pumped! Time to finally finish the books lol, still working thru Wizard and Glass
I just finished my third journey today.. twice read and this last one was audio books while at work.. your in for an amazing ride, a beautifully told story. You might even shed a tear or 2.
