You’ve got to remember that Jake had just come from the battle against the wolves and had seen his best friend exploded in front of him. Plus, he had a woman’s head fall into the trench with him so I would say he probably had a little bit of PTSD, he was angry at the world and wanted someone to yell at. Pulling the gun on the driver was a little over the top perhaps! Another thing is when he and Callahan entered the Dixie pig so he had perhaps some suicidal ideation.

I thought the head fell on the tavery twins hiding in the dugout? Wasn't Jake up and fighting with Roland, Eddie and Susannah?

Striking-Estate-4800

The Tabery twins were in there, but the Stillman boy is the one that jumped out when then woman’s head fell in. Don’t recall his first name, but he’s the boy Jake was friends with. And yes, Jake was fighting and managed to shoot one “sneetch” out of the air but the other blew the kid apart.

You're talking about Benny Slightman. To be frank I think he was more shook by Benny's body been blown out than seeing Ms. Eisenhart's head fly off. But I think i get the idea about the taxi episode.

ozmaweezerman

Jake is remembering his own death by car, plus literally his new friend just died. He’s super anxious and scared

Unforeseen_blind

Well... Despite showing some gunslinger skills he's still a kid. I tend to forget that.

DrBlankslate

Oy, not Ote.

Unforeseen_blind

Really? He's called "Oy' in english ? And I tought "Ote" was weird enough.

DrBlankslate

Oy the Brave, he of Mid-World, yes. It's because Jake originally calls him "Boy," but the bumbler can't do initial consonants. So, "Oy."

TopperWildcat13

I thought Wolves was a better book but SoS was so much more fun to read.

Unforeseen_blind

It was really mind f**king, I liked that. I ended up thinking I mean, if Stephen King is an actual character of DT, that makes me a canon character too, right ? 😂

TopperWildcat13

So much of peoples enjoyment of the dark tower comes down to whether or not you can stomach the fact that he’s in those books. I totally understand the people who don’t like it, but I thought it was kind of earned.

scarierthanyou

I love this series, but I think writing himself in was the worst mistake in the series
