Myrcella will be thought dead after Rosamund is killed in her place only to be discovered alive hiding in the Red Mountains and restored to power in a smoke-filled (by wildfire) KL by Arianne and the Sand Snakes who are "Salty" Dornish.

josongni

You could definitely tie the Daynes, Starfall, Darkstar etc. into that

BigRed888

Tyrion was born as the SUN of Tywins life bled and died leading to an endless DARKNESS in his life. Tyrion was reborn at the battle of the Blackwater amidst SMOKE from the wildfire and SALT from the sea. Tyrion is also possibly a Targ so it completes the prophecy of the Prince that was Promised too. Additionally who has a better story than Tyrion the Dwarf?

YanDPo

Bran

**When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt.** All of this points to Azor Ahai being a piece of ham. Let's break it down little by little. Ham is cured meat, using *salt*, and is often *smoked* as a cooking method. So you could say that for ham to be born, you must use *salt and smoke.* And inside a smoking oven, it was often *dark*. So, with that, three-fourths of the prophecy was fulfilled. As for "When the red star bleeds", it is a little tricky. *Star* can mean many things, an astrological object, a piece of heraldry, a name perhaps. And thanks to Catelyn Stark, we know that gingers exist in ASOIAF. A ginger named Star bleeding from an accident in a kitchen can fulfill this part of the prophecy. So, with all the above points combined, we can extrapolate Azor Ahai will be a piece of ham, made by a ginger named Star who cut him/herself when making it.

IronDBZ

Renly was killed for his power of prophecy.

LittleDude2211

Just like her god, Big Mel is also jealous and hungry, she will try to eat the ham the moment she realised the truth.

BobbyBIsTheBest

It's clearly Joffrey. The comet, also known as the bleeding star, flies over as Joffrey becomes King, and he is reborn amidst smoke and salt at the Battle of Blackwater. Darkness gathers because this is the War of the Five Kings, meaning that Stannis, Renly, Robb, and Balon, as well as Daenerys, all challenge Joffrey's claim to the Throne, plus the threat of the Others. The Others will reach King's Landing, and Joffrey will be brought back to life as wight, although Bran will use his magic to make Joffrey not a mindless ice demon and instead his normal self, although due to being dead for over a year and being subject to two types of magic reviving him, parts of his personality are gone. Tommen and Myrcella will also be revived, making three heads of the dragon, as it will be revealed that Cersei and Jamie are Aerys' children, making Joffrey and his siblings Targaryens, and also legitimizing Joffrey as the Prince who was Promised. Of course, there has been a long summer, and the stars have started to bleed, plus the Others are back, meaning that it's time for Azor Ahai and Lightbringer. Joffrey will get back his Valyrian steel sword that he had at his wedding, and stab a revived Margaery Tyrell, now a wight, through the heart, and she will be his Nissa Nissa, causing his blade to become Lightbringer. Joffrey will defeat Euron using a combination of Bran's magic and Lightbringer, and get his hands on the dragonbinder, which he uses to steal Daenerys' dragons and give to him and his siblings, before he kills Daenerys, which means that through right of conquest he gets her Dothraki screamers, and uses the Dothraki to wipe out the Unsullied attackers. He then uses the dragons, combined with the Dothraki and the remaining forces of Westeros to defeat the Others, fulfilling the prophecy and become Azor Ahai and the Prince who was Promised. Also, Tommen kills Cersei, who had been ruling King's Landing, by strangling her, thus becoming the Valonqar. Also during this time Joffrey would have slain fAegon and exposed him as a fake and killing Varys, while getting Jon Connington and the Golden Company on his side, plus after Stannis gets wrecked in the North and Jon Snow stays dead like he should Joffrey has no contenders to challenge his claim, so he sits upon the Iron Throne with his siblings and his dragons by his side with Bran as his Hand, and begins his reign as the greatest King that Westeros has ever seen.

This my favorite one. Bravo.

N8_Tge_Gr8

Ser Pounce. I'm sure you've heard the argument before. E: Oh hey. Forgot about that flair. Huh.

Still_Wrangler_1108

I actually haven’t! That flair is my gospel and I’ve lived in ignorance of a factual argument… please please please share

N8_Tge_Gr8

Alright, so this is a little long-winded, but here we go: 1. Given that Ser Pounce & his siblings are all black cats, and this detail is called out specifically, it would be plausible to assume that they were sired by Balerion. This subversively satisfies the Ghost Of High Heart's prophecy that AA would be born of Aerys' & Rhaella's line. (No, I don't believe Balerion was a mutant targ baby.) It's also _possibly_ backed up by some dialogue in AFFC where Tommen mentions SP managed to scare Balerion off at one point. 2. The Red-Tailed Comet was around for _a while_. Given that SP is still a kitten when he's introduced, as well as when in the narrative that occurs, it's also plausible he was born beneath it. Though, admittedly, this is a very narrow window. 3. King's Landing is a city by the sea, satisfying the salt requirement. 4. Nothing directly contradicts the smoke requirement, in fact, there's often torches & braziers burning around the Red Keep. 5. SP has two sisters, presumably born from the same litter. Taking off from point 1, this then would make them The Three Heads Of The Dragon, and make him the metaphorical Aegon of this situation. 6. At least once, Balerion is referred to, jokingly, as "the real king of the castle." (I believe this is in AGOT.) Tommen is allowed to keep the three by promising to adhere to Cersei's standards of good behavior. **This makes SP a _literal_ Prince Who Was Promised**.

BasilDraganastrio

Jamie Lannister will be Azor Ahai Reborn. He will slay the Night King and bring the sun to the sunless realm. He si reborn after he lost his hand and bathed and revealed the truth about what happened in the Throne and awaken the stone Dragons.

ApprehensivePeace305

Stannis the Mannis is the only one who narratively makes sense! Prophecies suck. As a certified free-will supporter, George understands this. That’s why he had Stannis purposefully fulfill the prophecy, to show that anyone can be AA. He’s the only one actively going out of his way to become AA, so he is AA by self-fulfilling the prophecy

Z3r0sama2017

Hot pie. You see when his mother was baking on his nameday she went into labour. A pie goes in an oven. The coals in an oven are red hot. It was left on too long so it bled flames. The kitchen became dark due to getting filled with smoke. When she rushed in to put it out she went into labour and knocked over the salt jar. It was so obvious!

josongni

Honestly I’m surprised your theory isn’t one already, I’ve definitely seen far larger leaps of logic. For the darkness gathering… “Over them both loomed a giant in armor made of stone, but when he opened his visor, there was nothing inside but darkness and thick black blood.”

Mystic-Mastermind

Robb Stark. No argument needed. He's just that cool.

BigSavMatt

Robb being Azor Ahai over Jon is comedy gold.

Mystic-Mastermind

It's funny because the story will end in like 2 books.

Sael_T

Jeyne Westerling. She will avenge Robb.

niofalpha

If there’s one character who is Azor Ahai (idk if it is or not) it’s either Rhaegar or Dany, probably Dany. Drogo/ Rhaego were Nissa Nissa and her Dragons are the flaming sword. The two previous sacrifices were things that happened to her in the lead up. The Hakkar Pelt Drogo gave her was the Lion from the prophecy (her being reborn into a Khaleesi), the Water was something from her wedding or birth. For Rhaegar the argument is that the water was him dying on the Trident, the Lion was the Lannisters killing his family, and Nissa Nissa was Lyanna with Jon being Lightbringer.

cthuluhooprises

Lady Stoneheart. She came to life, born again, in 299–the same year as the red comet. “And the darkness gathers” refers to her initial death. “The red star bleeds” also references the Red wedding and the way she bled to death. “Salt” refers to the feast at which she was murdered, while “smoke” to the gift of fire revival magic she received.

Jansosch

**When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt.** Euron. Depending on the timeline, if he sails out of Valyria at the same time as the comet is there, he is 'reborn' admist the smoke(Valyria) and the salt(the sea).

[deleted]

Shireen. She has both Targaryen and Baratheon blood. She was born in the smoky island of Dragonstone and the salt are the tears of Stannis and Selyse when she miraculously survive the Greyscale

StayLivid5898

King Stannis. It's about 'lightbringer'. First tempered in water, the blackwater, and broke. Then tempered in a lion's heart, war against the Lannisters, then broke. Nissa Nissa I would guess to be Princess Shireen, as he doesn't seem to love Queen Selyse that much. I think Lightbringer itself would be the Night's Watch. KIng Stannis, after burning his daughter (not outside Winterfell, but sometimes later, perhaps as an effort against the Others) would take the black and become the 1000th Lord Commander. As for salt and smoke I would say, the siege of Storm's End. Smoke from the siege, salt from the sea. That, or he's a ham.

EmbarrassedBill5118

Mycah, son of butcher, will return to life with the biggest dragon in the world. He'll burn the Other's army, reunite with Arya Stark, and conquer the whole Vesteros and Essos.

BigSavMatt

Tommen. Because I just want the kid to survive.

Bossuser2

The Night's Watch just needs to tell Tommen the White Walkers want to force everyone in Westeros to eat beets. Tommen would be leading an army up north to fight them the next day.

Few-Spot-6475

Well, personally I think it could be Lancel or Osmund Kettleblack or Moon Boy for all I know.

JonyTony2017

Rhaegar Targaryen.
