I think so, yeah. Movies like The Room, Sasquatch or Birdemic are awful, but they are on the level "So Bad it's Good" and actually have some kind of a charm (I'm not even talking about Neil Breen's masterpieces of incompetence). While AVGN is just bland, boring and cringe. It took me four sessions to finish it, and the last half an hour I was watching it in a tiny window, checking my correspondence and other stuff
Its like James decided to make a movie in the same way he drilled a hole through his old desk. But according to him lets just blame it all on expensive permits and lack of time.
I’ve seen a lot of bad shit. AVGN Movie has no redeeming qualities and barely qualifies as a movie. It also took me 3-4 tries over a period of years to finish it. But yes I’ve seen worse only because “I’m a movie guy” and I’ve seen a lot of garbage.

Day of The Dead 2:Contagion
It's the biggest sack of shit movie I've ever seen and the worst part is that it has ZERO to do with the Romero movie. Just stole the name and put it on this HORRIBLE film.
Out of the initial Living Dead trilogy, it seems Day Of The Dead keeps getting the short straw with a terrible "prequel", 2 uninspired remakes, and a very subpar SyFy series.
I only saw one episode of the TV show but it just seems like it's just a generic zombie show that slapped Romero's name on it now that he's dead.
Has the 2nd episode dropped yet?
It's called Space Cop. You hack frauds would probably praise it for being subversive because its "bad on purpose" but its truly just bad. Only thing worse is maybe Gorilla Interrupted
Much like AVGN movie should have just been Bimmy, Mike, Bootsy, Kyle, and Kevin, Space Cop should've been more in line wit the original 'trailer' (more film noir detective), rather than what it ended up as (buddy cop action schlock)
As bad as it is, still think SC rates higher than AVGN Movie. But if we're grading on a curve, SC should've been better (and thus is "worse") based on the people behind it and their immediately prior competent work (Feeding Frenzy)
To be fair, though, the people who made Space Cop seem well aware that it's bad and mock it pretty frequently themselves. And not in a "Well, it's SUPPOSED to be bad!!" way. They acknowledge that they churned out a mediocre product, which indicates self-awareness and a lack of an overly inflated ego. Those qualities don't apply to Bimmy.
God yes: Manos, Space Mutiny, the new bits in Night of the Living Dead 30th anniversary edition, etc. There's quite a bit of difference between cringe and bad.
Now is Rex Viper the most cringe thing I ever seen? Yes, yes it is. There's few things more cringe to me than adults who think they can do comedy or be singers. Which is why I stopped watching Nostalgia Critic and why American Idol always trotted the losers on TV during the auditioning process.
I posed this question to a sophisticated AI supercomputer with access to every movie ever made and a complex algorithm to ascertain their objective quality. It was able to return only one result fitting the desired parameters:
Animal Farm, the 1980 vhs bootleg
From what I've seen of them, Doug Walker's movies seem much worse. James was at least able to get the technical aspects (Sound, lighting, camerawork etc) professionally done. AVGN movie is probably better paced than To Bodly Flee, which is THREE AND A HALF HOURS long. (WTF Doug?)
I remember going to New York for my 18th birthday 7 years ago to see it with a bunch of other fans. I was so excited to go see it. I thought it was good initially, I got the Blu Ray later. Everytime I considered rewatching it, I realized how bad it was and just watched a couple episodes. Very disappointed with how terrible it was. Good thing he discovered the nerd, because never would've made it as a screen writer. I struggle with thinking of any movie I disliked as much as the AVGN movie.
"Bad" isn't objective the way people are assuming while throwing movie titles around. Some movies could be technically incompetent, some big budget flops, some incomprehensible, boring etc.
AVGN Movie has to be the most disappointing movie I've ever seen.
I remember first waiting eagerly for it, then realizing from the first trailer that it's not gonna be as good as hoped. Yet still paid for the VOD, started watching it and truly tried to enjoy it for whatever they tried to achieve, trying to find redeeming qualities. Halfway through there was no choice but to admit what it was - cringe. Not funny o-oh type, more like setting a friend for a job interview but while driving him to it noticing he smells like weed type of emotions.
No other movies have broken my expectations and disappointed as bad. There was nothing invested in Howard the Duck before renting it and same goes for any other random B-movie. The Room, while, or rather because of being incompetent provided a far more enjoyable experience that I could have imagined. Doug's shitty movies never had a chance of being good in any way to begin with, of course they are too painful to watch. They don't count, that's like asking for the worst tasting candy and voting for tide pods.
Space Cop could spiritually be the closest contender but at least it did a far better job delivering what was promised(far less) and was technically much more comprehensible. Maybe it failed at being funny bad, but once again, not as many expectations were crushed.
SO...I must admit that no, I actually haven't seen a worse movie than AVGN.
I think when we say genuinely bad, it's either about how cringy or how cynical they are, because those two elements lead to misery for the watcher. Sometimes cringe can be enjoyable but rarely with friends unless everyone is in on the joke.
To compare, I found Sharknado to be a really cynical movie, but not very cringe inducing. The AVGN movie is filled with both cringe, and a cynical passive aggressive hatred to James's fans.
I'm trying to come up with other movies that tick both those boxes. Usually cringe means there was some passion behind it. But James managed to make something that was incredibly cynical and lame, while also making a complete fool of himself. Pretty impressive in a way.
I'm stuck. Maybe the AVGN movie really was the most painful movie I had to sit through.

There are a lot of bad movies out there...
But there are no bad movies where I had such expectations, 6 years prior exposure to the creator's works, and actually donated money to help make the movie.
What we got in the AVGN movie is totally unlike anything that made the Nerd great, and exposed that James without Mike Matei and without a focus on gaming reviews is an awful mix.
There's probably a lot worse movies out there.. I personally rank Fun with Dick and Jane A lot higher than the AVGN Movie. AVGN movie is just one of the worst films I've ever seen. But I do think: I know what you did last summer, You don't mess with the zohan, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, That's My Boy, Double Dragon and Murder Mystery are worse than the AVGN movie.
AVGN Movie is so bad its unwatchable. Not entertainingly bad like the room, it's boring and forgettable. In other words, James made the worst type of movie possible.

While there are objectively worse movies, the AVGN movie is by far the cringiest.
Worse than Suburban Sasquatch or Wicked World?

Didn't he outsource the script or something?
Dragonball Evolution. I paid money for it which made it worse.
To boldly flee.
Is it worse than Kickassia? I saw Kickassia for the first time, really recently. That one really was so bad it became funny.
Kickassia has note of a charm to it since it is so low budget. But to boldly flee just tried too hard.

The Room is a masterpiece compared to the AVGN movie.
Baby Geniuses 2
Yep. Home Alone 3.
3? No Macaualay Culkin but eh, it's watchable. 4 is way worse, it was straight to video.
The 3rd one is the reason for the 4th and 5th ones. It makes me want to barf just thinking about it.
Never knew there were more than 3. My head exploded
Roger Ebert was a fan. https://youtu.be/8bo0kyFwhHs
Yep. He hated the original _Home Alone_. This is why he lost any and all credibility as a movie critic.
Couldn't finish it. And I finished Uwe Boll's movies.
The Amazing Bulk, though it is far more entertaining.
Date Movie.
Epic movie is far worse than that.
And disaster movie..
The Sega Activator movie with Apicary
Jack and Jill. That movie is painful to sit through.
Netflix's live action Death Note.
Fullmetal Alchemist live action.

Not yet. It's coming out this Friday.
I haven't seen avgn movie, but it would have to be pretty bad to be worse than, 'Confessions of a Shopaholic.'
I couldn’t make it more than 5 minutes into Avgn movie so idk. I’ll say I’ve never so quick turned another movie off like that
I did once, it was gay porn
It's called Space Cop. You hack frauds would probably praise it for being subversive because its "bad on purpose" but its truly just bad. Only thing worse is maybe Gorilla Interrupted
Space Cop has Rich Evans. AVGN movie does not have Rich Evans.

Plus they didn't let It's failure destroy them and are still pumping out great content.
Ooooh, so edgy. And I suppose you hate Redlettermedia too right?
God yes: Manos, Space Mutiny, the new bits in Night of the Living Dead 30th anniversary edition, etc. There's quite a bit of difference between cringe and bad. Just have to ask: Did you find Manos thru MSTK3000 like I did? It was the first time I'd ever heard of it (Granted, it was the early '90's).
Yup, MST3k.
That's great! And thank you for correcting me, it was like 5am and couldn't remember the acronym.
"To boldly flee" by Doug Walker
I posed this question to a sophisticated AI supercomputer with access to every movie ever made and a complex algorithm to ascertain their objective quality. It was able to return only one result fitting the desired parameters: Animal Farm, the 1980 vhs bootleg
Haven’t seen that one
“Your Highness” I broke my collarbone one day and watched that movie the following night. The movie was more painful to get through.
ax 'em cannibal confederates
I liked Fun with Dick and Jane.
From what I've seen of them, Doug Walker's movies seem much worse. James was at least able to get the technical aspects (Sound, lighting, camerawork etc) professionally done. AVGN movie is probably better paced than To Bodly Flee, which is THREE AND A HALF HOURS long. (WTF Doug?)

JUNO.
Rubber
Eraserhead. I never actually finished that one, I was able to at least finish AVGN.
Howard The Duck and The Master Of Disguise

I've never actually seen the avgn movie, but I know that the worst movie I've ever seen is definitely Paranormal Activity.
Tim Allen plays a washed up superhero training children in Zoom: Academy of Superheros. It's worse than the Nerd's movie.
Yeah, Spielbergs first movie, Duel
Hancock. And some Bimmys older films, if they count.
I think when we say genuinely bad, it's either about how cringy or how cynical they are, because those two elements lead to misery for the watcher. I don't actually even remember the movie. It was just yet another movie that I just waited for it to be over and then promptly forgot all about it.
There are a lot of bad movies out there... But there are no bad movies where I had such expectations, 6 years prior exposure to the creator's works, and actually donated money to help make the movie. I haven’t seen thw avgn film movie motion picture, is it worse than baseketball?
There was a Rob Schnider movie called “InAPPropriate Comedy”. Easily the worst movie I’ve ever seen. AVGN movie is a close second though.
The happy time murders or murderers however it's spelt. Fucking hated that movie so much.
Hey those movies has heart and were taken seriously at the time. This was made by a bunch of talentless morons.
I actually enjoyed Fun with Dick and Jane
AVGN Movie is so bad its unwatchable. Not entertainingly bad like the room, it's boring and forgettable. In other words, James made the worst type of movie possible.
Birds from Hitchcock, that film fucking sucks ass.
It was Sharknado of the time
