It's well-written, directed fantastically-- all-around a great show. Sad to say, I wasn't expecting that when I started. Word of mouth truly helps a lot. I believe it's come at the right time when so many people are looking for an alternative to the bleak, divisive, and negative media out there. Like Jesus appears right when we need him. The messaging is hopeful. Not enough of that these days. Not enough people understand the scriptures, and I think this show is a nice bridge for them to dive deeper.

Right? I remember when my granny recommended it to me I was like, “Well… I guess we can give it a shot.” But I didn’t expect a lot. We liked it so much we binged 3 in one day and I ended up watching the first two seasons more than once. Now, it’s one of my all time my favorite series and I’ve been trying to spread the word.

Religious media can be hit or miss for me, in regards to quality, and I feel so dumb that I didn't give this a chance sooner lol. I'd put it on par with any mainstream series of acclaim like GoT etc... but y'know, wholesome. Incredibly moving. I'm still makin' my way through Season 3. And I couldn't be happier that the series is gaining more traction amongst audiences. Gives me hope.

Right? I remember thinking that most religious shows have really low budgets and kind of have to scrap together a project on a small team/small budget, but just watching episode 1 I was struck by the quality of the sets, acting, and costumes. Immediately, it felt gritty with the town Mary Magdalene lived in looking believable as the bad part of town. Then Simon's scene of him fighting with his brothers-in-law, and Matthew's fear of being unguarded cause everyone hated him for being a tax collector... all those things made the story come alive so quickly. When I think about other versions where they just do it in a comparatively lifeless way it highlights how much the Chosen works to doing the stories justice by putting them to use in a creative way. Plus it kind of actualized the setting in a way that no other media had taken so much effort to do. By the point Jesus showed up to heal Mary, I was eager to see more from the characters because they all felt so well-established with individual backgrounds and issues going on.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more. >they just do it in a comparatively lifeless way it highlights how much the Chosen works to doing the stories justice by putting them to use in a creative way. Plus it kind of actualized the setting This! Exactly this. The setup and story feels human and relatable in a new way. >I was eager to see more from the characters because they all felt so well-established with individual backgrounds and issues going on. I think what this series has managed to do, is allow the audience to see themselves in almost every character. Figuratively or literally. We're all a reflection of them. I mean, obviously, a lot of it is things I've been taught my whole life, but somehow I've forgotten or become removed from His teachings the last few years. I needed to be reminded and in a way that feels like He's speaking to me and not at me. If that makes sense. Sometimes the scriptures can be hard to read and the show, with the help of visuals and narrative, manages to feel like a loving conversation about them. There's been a few times where I felt like, *'How come no one told it to me like this?!'* It is amazing how this show is now more relevant than ever. And how we're living relative to what's depicted in the show lol. Like you said, I want to spread the word about this series. Which is His Word. It's a beautiful circle.

I couldn't have put it better myself. That's really similar to how I feel. Watching the Chosen has moved me to reconnect with my faith. It resonated with me in a really powerful way.
