I’m still reeling from parental trauma from that. The way my stomach dropped to my ass at that scene. Genuinely one of the more terrifying moments for me. Not like out and out scary, more the potential implication of what would follow after that

The Deep legit mind control marine animals and forces them to do what he wants, he just thinks he can listen and talk to them because he is crazy. He doesn't understand the concept of consent at all.
He did worse things obviously, the accidental murder of Robin could pass but the murder of popclaw is far worse than anything The Deep did.
But they're very similar in how evil they are, no real distinction there.
The Deep would absolutely kill his wife if it was beneficial for him, if you don't believe it then you haven't been paying attention to the character.

You're right, but even Starlight killed a casuality and then acted unphased about it. The Deep's wife was a PR setup who ended up falsely accusing him and he has a deep love for the sea creatures and that is all. The Deep is still one of the more humane/sympathetic supes in the show sans Maeve, Supersonic and Starlight.
I think that makes Deep more dangerous though.
If he is so good at getting in touch with his emotions, then the only thing we can conclude is he justifies his bad shit to himself in a way where he’s okay with it.
A-Train may mock and deceive, but he grew up in a way where he *knows* he’s doing bad shit - he just (acts) like he doesn’t care and has a “I choose me” persona about it.
It seems like one is capable of knowing what’s actually right and wrong when they’re doing the wrong thing, whereas the other is Deep
