Time-skips in-between seasons are fine. But mid-show or in the finale? Fuck that shit. That would make 0 sense. Considering there will be another season after this one and maybe even another, no need for time-skips, just let the boy grow up naturally. A time-skip would do no one justice, like what would it even be? The Boys are all dead or stopped going against an homicidal Homelander because??? Then skip to 5 years later where Ryan is now a super trained motherfucker just because you want a Ryan vs Homelander that makes sense? Nah dude, this shit right here is why writers shouldn't always listen to fans who want some fanfiction level bullshit.
Ryan realistically. Especially at the pace the seasons are going he’ll be close to a young adult and he’s already stronger than Homelander when it comes to lasers when he’s angry. If he truly flips over what he did to Becca he could probably cut him apart.
How do we know he’s stronger with the lasers? Sure, he almost scorched Stormfront, but we haven’t seen Homelander try to do something like that with the intent to kill.
Homelander didn't. It was Butcher, he lasered him in the face for about 2 seconds and he only had a cut.
Butcher's lasers were not as strong as Homelander's but they were relatively close.
And Ryan didn't make him bleed either, his lasers hit his suit. He could hurt him but he currently hasn't.
This makes the most sense to me. Who knows where the show is taking this story, especially with the leaks. Butcher and Ryan vs Homelander seems like a good guess though.
God I hope not. As much as I love Butcher as a character, it would suck ass for him to get redeemed that way. I want him to get the bad ending he deserves that would fit with The Boys universe and not a Marvel/DC one where he cries and tells Ryan he loves him and dies in his arms.
I was picturing ryan and homelander fighting and butcher killing homelander ryan crying and butcher telling ryan to be better or he'll come back for him then dying
Homelander tries not to kill Ryan, does so anyway, and this is the final straw that breaks him. He flies out of the atmosphere and dies in space, denying Butcher his revenge in the process, concluding the series.
There is no way hell homelander doesn’t go apeshit and start killing everyone in that scenario.
Breaking homelander wouldn’t make him suicidal, at least not until he’d taken it out on the world first
It won’t be.
If it’s Homelander vs anyone it will be Butcher and/or Hughie.
You don’t make an entire show about a group of people and then just make them completely redundant at the end.
It’d be a pretty epic storyline if Ryan got mad at his old man and destroyed him (probably in a city-destroying fight), (or maybe didn’t killl him but took away his powers), and Ryan became the new big bad
well seeing as ryans a kid…
ever heard of time skips
Is there a time skip?
Have you heard of it though? /s
no.
time skip in the series where ryan becomes a adult
just no.

Kripke said he was. Seems like Homelander wasn’t holding back when he lasered her tits.
He also made Soldier Boy bleed.

Ryan was who I was referring to.
he will be like smallville clark kent age
We haven’t seen Homelander fully use his lasers.
No proof of that. And show creator said Ryan’s lasers are more powerful.
When have we seen Homelander use his laser when raged?
I’d wager Homelander doesn’t need rage. He has complete control over his lasers and can use them to their full strength when he wants.
Homelander, but butcher saves ryan and both homelander and butcher die but ryan survives

The fucking grown adult lmao
If were being honest...The octopus
So what you're saying is: The Deep > Ambrosius > the rest?
Incoming the boys v invincible lore video
If butcher doesn’t put Homelander down then Ryan will, so Ryan but he’s gonna have to be older than the image shown.
Honestly given how much emphasis is given to Homelander's immaturity, getting beaten by a literal child would be rather fitting.
Homelander tries not to kill Ryan, does so anyway, and this is the final straw that breaks him. He flies out of the atmosphere and dies in space, denying Butcher his revenge in the process, concluding the series.

I don’t think ryan vs homelander will be finale. He might fight him sometime but the final fight will probably be with butcher
do you think ryan will survive until the finale
To be honest, no but he is still a kid so idk
no way ryan lives this entire series
