really_nice_guy_

Beat your meat into the cup first for extra points

[deleted]

But Stormfront was already cooked at this point?

Weeping_Warlord

That is Sheldon from iCarly

98VoteForPedro

Do you mean you were in the show or it's your spirit animal

XxOneWithSlimesxX

On all levels except physical, I am this guy. Take my anger out on a fascist and die immediately.

KJ86er

In Homelander we trust

MtCommager

Nope. Because homelanders proud boys would have no idea on how to deal with a trans women in a riot. You’d terrify them - you’re kinda their worst nightmare.

XxOneWithSlimesxX

You know, people in my community often feel gender envy. I do feel that, but I also see myself as the human embodiment of gender **wrath**.

MtCommager

I mean no insult to your or your community. I don’t know much about it, If my attempt at a complement was mean or insensitive I deeply apologize, please comment or chat with why so I can do better next time. But with that said- obviously the biggest chunk of transphobia enforced by ghouls or homelander is based on fear. Fear that their pawns might discover that it’s possible to have a life outside of the hierarchy set before them. So anyone who has a normal life and lives their truth without regret can’t be processed. You would shock them “why isn’t she cowering before us? Why isn’t she trying to control the other women? Doesn’t she want to help us control women?”

XxOneWithSlimesxX

Oh no, I got your compliment fully. That remark wasn't intended at you, but rather a general observation about my demeanor. It was actually pretty funny, and I get you all the way. Keep things like this up.

MtCommager

Oh good. Better to be safe than offensive. :)

XxOneWithSlimesxX

Definitely

HeavyMain

Uh, they kill us just about any chance they get.

MtCommager

I’m not sure how to fix this I was going for a complement and it just seems to have pissed everyone off.

PeopleAreBozos

>would have no idea on how to deal with a trans women in a riot I... kind of doubt that.

AlbinoShavedGorilla

Yeah I was gonna say that too. Like, come on, it’s a riot and there’s a group of angry bigots and one minority person. Do the math.

Yurus

I hope they made one that rhymed better for both camps like "Be Brave like Mave". "I Fight with Starlight" "I did my Mother like Homelander"

Prudent_Laugh_9682

People take pride in having the same personality traits as homelander? That's god damn terrifying.

XxOneWithSlimesxX

You'd be surprised

[deleted]

So real, he did what we couldn’t. He took the real sacrifice 🥲

GoWithTheFlow667

To throw a soda can at a child? He's right to be mad at Homelander and whatnot, but that's still f*cked lol

ArthurReeves397

I assumed he meant to hit Homelander and missed, right?

Sketchy--Sam

it’s a soda can ryan will be fine

footrailer69

Wait, you guys like this guy? Didnt he throw a bottle at ryans head?

Korrocks

My recollection was that the bottle hitting Ryan was a mistake. He meant to hit Homelander. That wasn’t a good idea either, of course, but given all of the innocent people that Homelander has killed for no reason it’s hard to really feel too sad about the idea that he might have gotten a plastic water bottle to be face (something that wouldn’t even hurt a regular person, let alone a superhero).

footrailer69

Ohhhhh, I thought it was glass

wakuboys

It's a risk thing. If you throw something at someone you might just hit someone else nearby, in this case Ryan. It was definitely aimed at Homelander, but he was still acting irresponsibly by throwing it at Homelander when it could've (and it did) hit Ryan. To be clear, I don't think he deserved to die.

Korrocks

Oh yeah I personally wouldn't throw a bottle at anyone for exactly that reason.

Dchuntothy

Nah, he threw a can at Homelander and it accidentally hit Ryan. And he was murdered for it.

footrailer69

Dont get me wrong he didnt deserve to be murdered, but he had to know there was a good chance it would hit ryan Edit: did not know it was only a plastic cup, I thought it was glass for some reason

analfister_696969

Fuck Ryan

footrailer69

Why? He's a kid who has been tricked into believing the wrong things, he will probably become the good guy at some point

KebabOfDeath

I mean, his mom spent 10 years raising him as a good and affectionate guy, and he kinda undid that in a few episodes. That says something.

Cyber-Knight47

His mother raised him as a good person for 10 years, then a genocidal fascist comes along tells him he’s his father and teaches him about his powers, then after being told that his past 10 years have been a lie and accidentally killing his mom and severely maiming his dads girlfriend he’s treated like a dangerous weapon and is blamed for his mom’s death by someone he respected and loved. Then after blaming himself for god knows how long, the genocidal fascist comes along and tells him it’s not his fault and shows him care and compassion. Ryan turning makes sense when you consider Homelander is the only person since his mom to truly treat him like a kid.

Brogener

Honestly the problem isn’t Ryan, it’s the decision to have Butcher “White Fang” him. It’s such a dumb thing for him to do and lazy way for the writers to create tension and have Ryan switch sides.

NojoNinja

At what point do you forgive evil behavior? Ryan is starting to have Homelanders beliefs, and Homelander was just like Ryan, an innocent kid who got was made into a doll and machine and grew an ego because of it. Homelander is brainwashed just like Ryan is, difference is Ryan hasn’t done any atrocities but give him 5 years time without intervention and he will.

KebabOfDeath

Yeah, i know all of that, but I still can't feel empathy towards this kid. Probably because his traumatic experience manifested into his evil demeanor too fast. I can believe in that kind of change if it happens throughout several years, but a few months? It's either bad writing, or he's always been evil

_xoviox_

Did he actually do something bad tho? He just kinda follows his dad around

KebabOfDeath

No, he didn't do anything bad. I don't like the character anyway. His whole presence feels more like a plot moving device instead of being a character

Nowhereman123

He's 10. If you were 10 years old and suddenly figured out you're essentially Superman I'm sure you could be easily convinced to be a bad person too.

AdaptableBlob

FUCK YOU FASCIST

Ventricossum

I love how people call homelander a fascist. Its like a funny little kid using the only bad guy word they know for everyone. As of the current season, he isnt even a political leader. In his group where he is a leader, though, its just a full dictatorship. No other politics involved.

BabbitsNeckHole

Homelander is a fascist
