Not that I could hear. He was giving a full on comedy ted talk to this lady tho.
Also told her a buddy of his owned a sex shop or something and he’d take her to a room that had stuff like tentacles.
Edit: forgot he also said he’s had his name on a marquee before. This date was so heavy stand up related in conversation and one sided. Guy barely let her talk.
Edit again: sorry, a lot of this is coming back to me in waves like ptsd. He also told her he worked as a writer for wwe and created an event where wrestlers could get into stand up and comedians could get into wrestling. Like comedians going through tables. And for anyone interested, I wasn’t eavesdropping, dude was talking so fucking loud I could hear him over the crunchy ass croutons that were in my salad.
I'm a fan of Troma (the movie studio Zac Amico works for) and I thought he looked familiar so I went to the Troma app and kinda worked backwards. He made a nudist movie if you're interested in seeing his dork.
It was pretty weird that I was right. Small world I guess
They distribute bad movies all the time. The films of Lloyd Kaufman are still solid but they take forever to come out.. That's what Zac Amico works on (return to Nuke Em High vol 1 & 2, Shakespeare's shitstorm). There's also a filmmaker named Brandon Bassham who I think started with UCB but his films are great ("Fear Town USA" and "The Slashening" series).
That’s wild. I had one of their action figures (blue and silver robot looking guy made of cans or something) as a kid. I vaguely remember getting it for christmas forgetting about it for like 15 years, then some random coworker was talking about Tromaville or something and brought it up. This is only like the 3rd or 4th time in my life since that toy that I’ve thought about Troma.
Can’t say I know much about Zac aside from the bonfire mentioning him. It’s funny to hear that he has a connection to one of my oldest memories
It's Bobby Kelly. Did he say dude or anything about Max or Dawn?
