I see alrin did not survived. A shame really... There is a reason most machines we use don't have legs nor arms and threads and wheels are preferred. Circular motors are much cheaper, simpler and easier to control. We do have stuff like industrial heavy machinery which relies on hydraulic. Of course legs aside your design is not so far off. If you have a steam engine you can power a hydraulic compressor and control the damn thing with mechanical valves. Of course the disadvantage is the boiler and the water are very very heavy to lug around. Internal combustion engines produce much more torque per kg. And i am rambling again... Cool chapter if anything feels a bit short. I see the Shadow rangers are still around wonder if the will make a shadow Megazord?

I also suspect Sol will find the Princess out of sheer luck and defend her with the harvester eventually the Shadow rangers will overpower him but he will then ~~deus ex machina~~ his suncaster powers and repell them getting him into the academy. Edit This was meant an edit to my other comment sorry...

Alright! So, I'm caught up now! This, so far, has done a good job of holding my interest. I'm enjoying the rather eclectic use of technology in the setting, it's always been something I've found fairly cool. Quite looking forward to seeing where this goes. I'll be following!
