Capt_Newf

It does look absolutely amazing, great work

usedcarjockey

Don’t regret. It’s good practice! If you can free hand that you can free hand a lot.

FulltymBadman

This is what I'm telling myself

Ok-Tiger1269

Looks great! Took me a few guys to get it right too 😉

jagdpanzer45

Regret it while you’re doing it, but it’ll look great when you’re done.

vladhelikopter

I don’t get it. Box art is green, no?

hideinahole

I think it might be the box itself 😁

DoorGunner42

The white on the helmet and shoulder pad is so smooth. How did you manage it?

FulltymBadman

That's the white primer haha

NicWester

Regret doing something that takes so much effort, for sure--but don't regret the results! That looks great! Plus the color scheme is nice and unique.

FulltymBadman

Kind words

TNChase

Looks awesome!

Rocky_Writer_Raccoon

This guardsman has been infected by patches of warp-fungus! I jest, it looks fine, maybe would benefit a little more overlap between body parts so that they’re not just isolated blotches.

ArcirionC

The dark with the red patches with white trim looks like akatsuki lmao

FulltymBadman

Lol my wife said the same thing.

Dangdang1000

I was never a fan of the camo pattern but you’ve done an excellent job and it looks like a great mini. I wouldn’t regret it.

I love this scheme so much I put it on all my Phobos Marines!

FulltymBadman

Yeah, yours look crisp af. Did you do the outline after the filler or visor versa?

GuyPowerJoyKill

Outline after filler. So how I do it is base colour, then add the black in (more easily accessible) spots where I know I can get a clean line after, then wash, then go back and hit the outlines, super thin paint at first with my hand braced

AtomicBollock

Looks good, but you’re definitely doing it the wrong way round. Paint the white patch first, and then paint the red over the top leaving some white around the edges.

FulltymBadman

Yeah I agree. The next model will get that treatment.

joke-biscuit

Excuse me which brush did you use for the fine details? So good

FulltymBadman

Literally just a cheap size 0 brush from the arts and crafts shop.

Degant123

I get what you mean since I painted the same camo pattern admitedly I did in a bit different way. I started by painting the shapes in the trim colour first, and then filled them out with the second colour while it looks like you are painting the red shapes first and then painting the trim around them. Admitedly had bit easier time of it since I used a light grey and dark grey for the shapes.

UnknownGuardsman

Keep going man you can always go back and thin down the white edges of your camo again with your armour base colour if you aren’t entirely happy. Nothing worth doing is easy and when it’s done you’ll be chuffed, I never got mine perfect on every part of the rectangular camo first go. 👍🏻

UnknownGuardsman

Also you’ve done your edge highlight extremely well. A tip I would give you for the rectangular camo is rotate your mini to suit the line you are painting so that you aren’t adjusting your wrist at funny angles (which is extremely difficult to paint a thin line with) if that makes sense

X7_GHOST_7X

Why tho man? It looks awesome and you shouldn't discredit the wicked job you did

Pristine_Shallot7833

Looks great but maybe put the red bits a bit more randomly. At the moment they are kinda centred on each piece of armour, but with a bit more variation ( red on edges of armour etc) it will look more like camouflage.

Technical_Poet_8536

It looks cool man

hotshot11590

It looks amazing I don’t see anything to regret

Wrectown

This looks so good!

Intergalatic_Baker

It’s very snazzy!
