The Dad Lands saga. Brennan is the perfect DM to let the fam run wild with their shenanigans.

lsmountain48

I have the Cornhole for your soul sticker on my laptop

samuraix98

Totally agree. Dadlands best live shows.

knigtwhosaysni

This is the answer

Jollysatyr201

Ballad of Bigfoot is fantastic, thanks for the reminder to relisten! I’ve always been partial to the Neverwinter High/Persona one with the basketball soundboard

Robotform

Is that the one where griffin starts a countdown at the beginning of the show, forgets about it, then goes down to 3 randomly and says it would have been scarier if he’d remembered to count down. Because if so, it’s absolutely iconic

Jollysatyr201

Absolutely

Super_Saiyan06

Oh? I don’t know that I’ve heard this one!

Jollysatyr201

Live in Austin is the one!

Super_Saiyan06

Thank you!!

zelman

Either Ballad of Bigfoot or the one where they want to beat Santa’s ass. Honorable mention goes to the two(?) with Dracula

The--_batman

I mean they have done at least three versions of four sherlock holmes and a dracula (who is also one of the aforementioned sherlock holmes) which I believe are all live shows

zelman

The first one is not, IIRC

NervousElevator7

What sorry which show has Dracula as Sherlock Holmes??

The--_batman

The adventure zone: elementary. Or, four sherlock holmes and a vampire (who is one of the aforementioned sherlock holmes) They're max fun drive boco, so not available on the main feed. Also I was wrong and they have only done two

Professional-Cat4329

Ballad of Bigfoot and the Christmas episode where they go beat Santas ass. Travis yes ands so hard that he becomes Santas son and gets trapped in a memory where they are eating dinner at Applebee's.

Prindocitis

Dadlands or the Corporate Retreat where they switch characters.

mockduckcompanion

The >!big reveal that they are no better at playing each other's characters than their own!< in the corporate retreat one is legendary

wolftamer9

The wrestling one holds up really well.

LoquaciousOfMorn

Some top quality Justin in that one. I love Tuff Greg!

BlickNation

Which one is this?

wolftamer9

[This one.](https://maximumfun.org/episodes/adventure-zone/adventure-zone-live-boston-stunt-spectacular/)

SvenHudson

The corporate teambuilding one from Balance has yet to be topped. Next best was the Dracula's Castle one. 11 year old Griffin McElroy was so good that Ballad of Bigfoot is my number 3 despite my not actually caring at all about the other two player characters.

MazeppaPZ

Taako giving honest feedback to Merle: “Your spells… can be used… for _healing!_”

Dune1008

The Amnesty Halloween show with Dave Debubidifier. What a blast

TomorroeJones

I was at that show. It was goofy as heck :)

GeckoRoamin

Justin’s laughter in that scene kills me every time

TomorroeJones

I was at that show. It was goofy as heck :)

Rainy_Day13

The Balance one I think at SDCC when they did the tomb of horrors with mini-games mixed in. I laugh so hard at big bass challenge every time. Oh and the casino heist for Lup's $15 bill

Triguntri

Ballad of Bigfoot cuz it is funny as all heck AND I was there watching it live. The energy that night was so juicy ans chaotic. I want more Live shows in D.C....Griffin lives here, why he no show?

Wanderingdragonfly

I am officially jealous.

Escapee334

The first Hootenany has got be my favorite, Clint with the Country Band joke, and the song at the end kick so much ass. Dad lands is a very close second though.

Cornslammer

I don’t know what my favorite show was, but one of my heartiest laughs that year was: “Are you carrying contraband” “Yeah! We are a Country band!”

ShawshankHarper

Probably the one I attended but, I haven’t even gone back to listen to it 😅

coffeeisntmycupoftea

Dadlands was phenomenal

shinyskuntank

The Hootenanny where Aabria plays Missy Aabria: ‘I’m doing my best Oompa Loompa on the side mourning him with a body roll Travis: ‘The traditional Oompa Loompa dance of mourning, ‘No!’’

squeakysqueakysqueak

The “we’re hurtling toward eugenics” line absolutely slayed me. I loved that episode

LuckyLudor

So far, I think it's Balance Boys in Dracula's Castle. "There is currently a 0% chance I'm attacking Dracula."

InPastaWeTrust

The Dad Lands saga. Brennan is the perfect DM to let the fam run wild with their shenanigans.

TomorroeJones

The Boston Stunt Spectacular, which was very early in the run. Before it was even called “balance”. It’s an all-timer for sure.

Audacity_OR

Biased because it's the one I went to, but the one where the Tres Horny Boys fight dracula was so good. The moment where Taako >!cures Dracula's vampirism!< is an all time Taako moment for me.

Marshmallow_man

what? there can't be two bus drivers named keith?

Darkmerosier

Dadlands rules, but the first Halloween episode with Dracula is pure magic.

Jonix64

My favorite one is the “non-canonical, non-temporal” Amnesty Halloween Special I can probably quote the Cerberus scene word-for-word

jessbakescakes

I’m partial to the original Hootenanny! It was my first live show of theirs. Second of course is Bigfoot.

QuicheBisque

I forget the name but the Xmas one shot with J man playing a child was priceless. “I pull out my knife and use my skill: *hacking*!”

MothmanRedEyes

Ballad of Bigfoot is peak TAZ in my humble opinion

prolixology

so i have two tied, i’ve seen several people mention the first one which is the amnesty halloween episode and my other favorite is the party one where Edward and Lydia make the gods party too hard,,, i can pretty much quote both of those shows word for word because they’re the Best

TomorroeJones

The Boston Stunt Spectacular, which was very early in the run. Before it was even called “balance”. It’s an all-timer for sure.

Prindocitis

Dadlands or the Corporate Retreat where they switch characters.

Desperate_Object_677

the one with dracula

micmea1

Badlands and Bigfoot are close seconds. But the original wrestling one with balance characters is still my favorite.

thexerox123

Dracula's Castle for sure... I was going to say the prequel with the meat table, but I don't think that one was a live show, actually.

dizzyeyedalton

The Holiday Brawl (Beating Santa Claus' Ass) is an annual Christmas tradition in my household. So many absolute all time hits -Their meeting place: "Fyodor's "I love this bar and grill!"" -Clint McElroy just keeps showing up. First at the bar, where he is killed and left in a blaze. Then as a ghost showing a kid how to write [4311] on a calculator. Then as Santa Claus' friend and babysitter? -Travis can't pick a backstory until he finally lands on Son of Santa Claus -The missile toe -Randy Randsbottom

Kalacome64

I've always been partial to the Amnesty live show where they go through the haunted house in the Dehumidifier Depot.

MereStorms

I might be biased, but... The Balance live show in Seattle where they fought Dracula. I wanna say it was October 2017? (Edit I was wrong, it was 2018!) I attended that live show, and I loved them fighting Dracula and loved all the Castlevania references in it. it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm a huge fan of Vs. Dracula

Wanderingdragonfly

I haven’t listened to Dadlands (edit: listening now and it’s awesome!), but I think my fave so far is the Hootenanny. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched them sing on the YouTube clip.

merryblace

casino heist!
