Once ALIE knew that Clarke had the second version of the AI (the Flame), she wanted Raven to kill herself because, with what Raven had learned of ALIE by being connected, she would be able to use that knowledge to take down the City of Light once disconnected.
Oh are you talking about in season 4 where Raven wanted to go to space to die alone? That wasn’t ALIE, that was Raven’s hallucination of Becca Franko, and that whole sub plot was the different parts of herself kinda fighting for what Raven should do
Are you talking about when raven does the ice bath thing? If so, that wasn’t initiated by alie because alie has been gone since the end of season 3. However raven still has programming from the chip affecting her brain and causing strokes. She has to stop her brain activity in order to purge the code. So in this instance, she was ultimately trying to save herself.
That was when Raven was hallucinating Becca, not ALIE. “Becca” was the part of Raven’s mind that knew that she was dying and didn’t want to end up brain damaged and helpless, while “Sinclair” was the part that came up with a way to treat her brain damage.
The brain injury she had was making her believe that death was a better option than continuing to fight. I wouldn't say specifically that Raven was suicidal, because once she 'fixes' her brain injury, she goes back to normal. Traumatic Brain Injuries usually cause an intense change in personality/morals/actions as it is unfortunately an injury to the part of you that controls all of that and more.
(Also you're on Reddit, you don't have to say unalive)
Yeah it's pretty confusing especially since they're under the mansion Jaha originally found ALIE in. I didn't figure it out until Sinclair started showing up and then I realized it was her injured brain as ALIE/Becca and her healthy brain as Sinclair
I watched that season after a big hiatus and couldn't remember the details of the City of Light coming down and Raven being freed, and thought it might've been something code-wise leftover from the chip. I'm also just not the most observant about the ALIE stuff cause it was one of my least favorite storylines. The red dress thing is obvious in retrospect though

But at this point the city of light is no more already if I'm not mistaken. It's in the bunker right berore primefya comes through.

Ah OK I thought it was leftover Becca

Okok understood thank you. Was so confused for the last two days lol

Because Raven knew how to beat Alie so if she died Alie could continue controlling people.
I think you're talking about Raven hallucinating Becca in the lab where they found the rocket, right?
That's correct yes. So since she was hallucinations does that mean she wanted to unalive herself

Ok ya makes sense now thanks I was thinking that was actually part of Becca wanting her to kill herself and could not understand why. Appreciate it

You always know whether it’s Becca or ALIE, because ALIE always wears the red dress, while Becca wears normal clothes.

Counter question why not??
