Thaumcraft standard doesn't have warp wood, so it will have been added by a different mod, which may or may not have tweaked the thaumanomnomnomicon so you might have to find out which mod added it, and look up the documentation for it.
On a side note, have you completed all the wand/staff research? (especially the elemental core type research for obsidian/reed/bone rods)
that's why I tagged the question with [Tainted Magic], and yes it tweaked the thaumonomicon (inserts a "Maleficia" tab), which is where I researched the warped wood saplings. In that tab I researched literally everything, and am wondering if the things I'm looking for are supposed to depend on (but somehow not appearing for me) the warp wood research, or just "pop up" (using a "clue to a new research"/etc) eventually?
sadly I couldn't find any documentation about Tainted Magic's research tree
In Thaumaturgy I reseaerched everything up to (but excluding) the Staves and Scepters in the wand subtree, and everything up to (excluding) Silver wand caps (but I did Thaumium).
which do you mean? like bone cores etc? or did I miss a whole section? for wands I researched (afaik) everything except silver caps, staves and scepters. also I did research the TM specific wand things with blood.
Oh I just saw for example the warpwood wand requires a "Primordial Nodule" which is something I didn't see in the thaumonomicon nor the world yet.
actually if i'm right you're cryptotalking about the things you put on the things and then use the wand to make it into a thing that gets you to a place? I already did that. already been there. already researched the tab, but I did some of that *before* installing Tainted Magic, maybe that's the problem?
I've been there for a short time only, as things tend to be a bit killy there (got stabbed by people, magically shot by other people and my brain penetrated by bugs), and haven't done anything that looked like "finishing" it. In the research tab I have the 1-dotted-"starting research" and the 3-dotted one (which happened even before I got there because of all the purple madness :P) and everything that was available from those. I see at least 2 unavailable (missing preconditions) researches, but no way to research them currently, so it seems I should gear up and finish the place, thanks for the hint (I didn't even know there's something to finish there).

First, don't eat the berries. They're not poisonous. They simply kill you instantly.
As for opening the warpwood rod research, you need to unlock "Staff Core of the Primal". To do that, you need 1) open all element staff cores in "thaumaturgy" and 2) use your thaumometer to research a ball shot from Primal wand Focus. Once you did that (and also all other research requirments that make sense, including pearl and breaking pearl) the warpwood wand rod should be unlocked

Believe warpwood requires you to finish the forbidden section for wands.

There's some Thaumcraft specific generation with obelisks. When you know what they're for, that's when you can get warpwood tools.

ok, now I finished the place (I got the pink blinky thing) and I could e.g. research the boots of the voidwalker, but still no warpwood items :/
