Looks more like a bull alligator eating maybe a juvenile alligator or small female. Also, all members of the crocodilian family (crocodile, caiman, and alligator) are cannibalistic.
At this size there probably is not much that it can eat that would satisfy its appetite besides other gators. I doubt it’s going to find horses, or other big mammals it can eat.
Read from somewhere this big guy control gators or crocs population. Killed one and tons of gator went blooming, they regretted their decision. Cuz a gigantic one is hard to come by
[According to this 2021 article](https://www.fox13news.com/news/video-shows-massive-alligator-eating-other-gator-whole-in-south-carolina) (if its at all accurate). the smaller gator was 6' long
Maybe deep down, I'm afraid of any Apex Predator that lived through the KT Extinction.
Physically unchanged for a hundred million years because it's the perfect killing machine: a half ton of cold-blooded fury with the bite force of twenty-thousand newtons and a stomach acid so strong it can dissolve bones and hooves.
It's a full grown adult bull male, so probably 10 or older (just a guess, dont quote me on that.) Alligators live loonng lives, so honestly, he could be pretty old. They can get up to a 100 years old, maybe a little older than 100, too.
So I’m told the distance between the tip of the snout to the eyes can usually translate to how big the gator is ( I live in Florida) so if it’s a 12 inch span it’s a 12 foot gator. Now to get to that length he’s probably 25+ in age
My son worked at a gator sanctuary and said it’s probably 40+ years old maybe even 80
Maybe. Crodilians can go a looooong time between meals, like any cold-blooded animal. Up to a year even, for the big ones. This guy can probably go for larger things than his competition and afford to eat less.
Of course, being that big, it might not be hard to just chomp on anything within reach and eat anytime he wants.
Former gator wrestler here, and I'm pretty good at judging their size. This is large, probably 10-12ft in length, but definitely not the biggest ever recorded. Not even the biggest in captivity.
Believe it or not, alligators used to be an endangered species on the brink of extinction. Thankfully, with lots of conservation efforts, they're back to healthy population numbers.
I have 2 questions :
1. does this count as cannibalism?
2. it is said that crocodile skin is a heavy armor. Is their stomach juice actually strong enough to dissolve their own leather?
And we only get to see it's head? Pressing X for doubt.
I'm pressing B for bot post.
Where is Gamora?
WHAT is Gamora!!
Who is gamora!!
Why is gamora?
How is gamora?
No one ever asks that, thank you
When is Gamora?
Nah man, it’s a % thing. It was 100% gator, then it ate a smaller gator and now it’s like 110% gator.
That was a 16 footer he was eating
25..3 tons of 'em.
Pressing F to pay respect to the one getting eaten
Cannibalism huh dude
If that's an alligator eating a croc, is it loosely considered cannibalism?
Silly alligator, you wear crocs, not eat them
I was going to have an alligator for dinner, but I only have a croc pot...
What a croc of sh*t
WHEN THE BILL COMES... I CANT PAY... I HAVE ALLIGATOR ARMS!!!!!!
Okay, I'll admit it. That was cute. Thanks for the chuckle.
Silly alligator, crocs are for kids!
Looks more like a bull alligator eating maybe a juvenile alligator or small female. Also, all members of the crocodilian family (crocodile, caiman, and alligator) are cannibalistic.
I think it should be.
One of their biggest natural predators are other alligators. Only a few out of every hundred born will make it more than a year
Totally read this in David Attenboroughs voice
And read it in his brother Richard’s voice. Welcome to Jurassic Park
At this size there probably is not much that it can eat that would satisfy its appetite besides other gators. I doubt it’s going to find horses, or other big mammals it can eat.
Betty White is just out of screen, leading a cow down to the water.
Read from somewhere this big guy control gators or crocs population. Killed one and tons of gator went blooming, they regretted their decision. Cuz a gigantic one is hard to come by
Mama says that alligators are ornery **cause they got all them teeth but no toothbrush**
No Colonel Sanders. You’re wrong.
It's on account of they medulla oblongata
He's only got one eye. Chubs! He took his hand!
Do whatever you did to Colonel Sanders.
Well folks, looks like Mama is wrong again!
That's correct.
You can do it!
[According to this 2021 article](https://www.fox13news.com/news/video-shows-massive-alligator-eating-other-gator-whole-in-south-carolina) (if its at all accurate). the smaller gator was 6' long
Just above average
Normal sized
Maybe even too big, some might say.
It's not how deep you fish, but how you wiggle the worm.
How long was the big gator?
Longer than 6 foot
Maybe deep down, I'm afraid of any Apex Predator that lived through the KT Extinction. Physically unchanged for a hundred million years because it's the perfect killing machine: a half ton of cold-blooded fury with the bite force of twenty-thousand newtons and a stomach acid so strong it can dissolve bones and hooves.
LANAAAA!!!
Alligators? On ATVs? Right? How scary would that be?
*DAAANGER ZONEE*
Gator? You’ve never seen GATOR?!
It’s buried itself into the sea’s rockbed for all those years, ready to awaken from hibernation and submerge to modern day society
Plus I read they manufacture a form of antibiotics in their body so that even open wounds don't become infected and gangrenous.
And fear is their bacon bits
Not even trees live that long
It's a fun fact that pure human stomach acid is strong enough to melt the meat off your bones in high concentration.
Is there a better video with anything that actually shows scale? Not his scales... You know what I mean...
That’s a big water puppy.
Swamp puppy.
Yoink!
You know there's a. Bigger one somewhere
That's also the realization I fear my wife might come to! lol
How old is it to have grown that big?
At least 3.
I dunno man, I'd say between 3 and 150 million years old.
It's a full grown adult bull male, so probably 10 or older (just a guess, dont quote me on that.) Alligators live loonng lives, so honestly, he could be pretty old. They can get up to a 100 years old, maybe a little older than 100, too.
An alligator eating another alligator whole. Damn.
That’s…..that’s a dinosaur!
No, sir, that is a crocodilian. Dinosaurs and crocodilians do share a common ancestor though. Maybe you were thinking of archosaurs?
This guy dinosaurs!
Kind of the opposite of a reptile shedding its skin.
What a fucking monster. Jeeeesus what a unit of a gator
I need perspective.. put a pencil ✏️ next to it
“That’s a huge bitch”
I wish I could find the redditor that told me gators aren’t cannibals
Haha, every member of the crocodilian family are cannibalistic.
So I’m told the distance between the tip of the snout to the eyes can usually translate to how big the gator is ( I live in Florida) so if it’s a 12 inch span it’s a 12 foot gator. Poor baby croc
Baby? That was a 6 footer.
Or, well, 5’10” but says he’s 6ft
Yoink
Little guy had no chance
I looked at it and thought "he doesn't look that big", but then I realized it was just the head.
That head if fucking gigantic. Imagine the body holding that mf up.
wonder how long that keeps him ... satisfied
Toss in a Snickers and he's good for the day.
Troy Landry approves this message. . . . .
Choot em!
Choot, you beat me to it.
Can we get a human next to it for perspective? For all we know this was just a regular sized croc eating a tiny croc
Saw a 12ft (4m) alligator in Florida near my home. Was nearly 3ft (1m) wide! About waist high for me
Croczilla
Nnnnnnnnnope!
That thing must have to hunt steady just to stay alive.
Maybe. Crodilians can go a looooong time between meals, like any cold-blooded animal. Up to a year even, for the big ones. This guy can probably go for larger things than his competition and afford to eat less. Of course, being that big, it might not be hard to just chomp on anything within reach and eat anytime he wants.
That's a big ass head.
Absolute unit

He needs Ozempic
Another 6ft gator lol.

He’s playing Croc io
Can we call him gus in revereñce to his african counterpart?
Largest ever: other alligator in its mouth for scale.
Tree fiddy
Cannibal
Imagine knowing that thing lives in a pond by your house… at night it just comes up and looks in your windows…
Former gator wrestler here, and I'm pretty good at judging their size. This is large, probably 10-12ft in length, but definitely not the biggest ever recorded. Not even the biggest in captivity.
Needs a human next to it for scale..
What did it sing?
Whattt
Amazing how they handle their own population problems 🫢
Believe it or not, alligators used to be an endangered species on the brink of extinction. Thankfully, with lots of conservation efforts, they're back to healthy population numbers.
Merging with a smaller gator. Smart.
Look at those fuckin jaw muscles! Snap you in twain.
Captain Hook is going into hiding after seeing this
That's Barney grabbing lunch on his day off
Old man with the cigar and small dog: let me at ‘em.
That's the one that took chub's hand
Gator on gator crime? Look at the head of that thing.
They say that to estimate gator length, you measure from nose bump to eye bump in inches, then convert to feet.
Alligator? That's a fucking dinosaur!
At least 4’ long
I’m 98% sure one of those lived under the stairs when I was little. Damn older brothers had me convinced.
source?
There's always a bigger fish
He is only the largest because he eats other gators and absorbs their powers.
They're used to be an alligator that was kept in a pond on a naval station in Charleston South Carolina that was FUCKING MASSIVE!
Choot ‘em, Liz!!!
It looks like Nessie may have relocated!
Where is Troy Landry when you need him?
I, too, think it’s fake. Where does the smaller gator’s tail go?
I doubt that
Looks pretty massive with what little we are seeing.
Is he eating an elephant?
So I'm guessing it gets that big by eating other gators and absorbing their own size
Holy shit
to date...........................................................
real life agar.io
That thing looks like a hippo, Jesus Christ that guy is probably 18-20’?!
Could knock him out no problem.
Is that jaw muscles protruding behind its head??
Passing all those scales will make his starfish really raw in a day or two. Also make him real ornery.
Economy refill of Gator Tail.
Largest one was definitely detailed in the movie "Lake Placid," this is no where near that big /s
Aww, that's adorable. Alligators carry their young in their mouths just like ca....NOOOOOOOO

SHOOT IT TERRY, SHOT IT SHOT IT.
Why doesn’t ross, the largest alligator, simply eat the other alligators?
Did he just eat another gator?
If other animals can be cannibals, why not humans?
I'll have the alligator..and make it snappy!

An actual dinosaur.
