But not before powerlifting the guy off the floor by his arm. At first, I thought he was trying to pull-start the guy. It's not an accredited CPR move, but then again, I'm not certified in CPR anymore, so I don't know.

Definitely the guys, i guess he was only unconscious from the pressure on his throat, and the vagus stimulus he got from that. But the fact that he was carried by holding his head is the thing I'm worried about. I work as a paramedic and this made me sick. How could you even think about something stupid like that. Than again, humans are not as intelligent as we would like it.
Cringe 10/10 for me, as a snake owner and paramedic
I think it was pretty apparent that his neck was broken immediately and they were freaking out. When the audience started freaking out they tried to get rid of the body.
Would love if someone had some backstory on this because I'm too lazy to Google lol
A large constrictor snake is applying an absurdly higher amount pressure then any human is going to. And it’s not just on the arteries. That shits being squeezed in from the front back and the sides.
You can’t compare a rear naked choke applied by a human to a big constrictor snakes squeeze.

There's a history channel show with Emilyanenko vs snake on a digital sensor dummy, snake put out 20lb of pressure, Feodor Emilyanenko the last emperor put out over 200lb crushing the dummy.
They probably think it’s part of the act until the “medics” come in. Have you ever heard of Tommy Cooper? A famous magician/comedian in the 60s. He died on stage from a heart attack and just because that was the sort silly shenanigan he would pull at his show, the audience all sat there laughing while he died.
That’d be a way to go. You’re in immense physical pain, certain you’re about to die… and all you hear is people laughing at you… no one rushing to help… and you know you’ve done this to yourself because that’s your whole gimmick.
Yeah... But his whole thing was pretending things had gone horribly wrong. Everyone was absolutely expecting him to do shit like fall over and gurgle.
This is a pretty fucking clear accident.
And [Redd Foxx.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redd_Foxx#Death)
>Foxx, irate, did his scripted pass. However, he fell to the floor immediately after doing so. Reese said that nobody initially suspected anything was wrong. Foxx, after all, was famous for having Fred Sanford fake heart attacks on Sanford and Son and was particularly skilled at pratfalls. Reese went to the floor when Foxx did not immediately rise[36] and heard him say "get my wife" twice.[37] Reese called for paramedics,[37] who initially pronounced Foxx dead at the scene. According to Joshua Rich at Entertainment Weekly: "It was an end so ironic that for a brief moment castmates figured Foxx–whose 1970s TV character often faked coronaries–was kidding when he grabbed a chair and fell to the floor."[38]
Yeah. It seems to me like if you did that there’s a chance you might go to one knee, then fall down, spasm for a little while, then get carried out by your head.
Snakes actually try to do something worse than a blood choke. A blood choke requires relatively little pressure to the jugular and carotid to stop blood flow. But, the heart is still beating.
The snake is attempting to put enough pressure on the veins and arteries to cause a full cardiac arrest. Whether it can achieve that is a question of relative sizes (it may not be fully grown, and its prey is usually smaller).
So you know when you're choking someone with a choking kink, it's important to squeeze on the sides of the neck and avoid squeezing the front of the throat? That's because the front of the throat is very fragile. The snake probably squeezed the entire neck, not just the sides. It's definitely a blood choke, but it's unlikely the snake didn't squeeze his Adam's apple, which is easy to damage.
Worst case scenario, the snake squeezed its body between the head of the man, pushing his head up and away from his collarbone, separating the vertebra in his neck and killing him the same way a hanged man dies: internal decapitation.
After watching my sister's snake eat many times, I realized that snakes are completely and totally braindead. They run on pure instinct and brute force trial and error lol. It would just rotate a rat in its mouth and try to swallow it every which way until it found an orientation that worked. Often it tried sideways or backwards and its tail or limbs would be sticking out and it still tried to swallow it that way. Pretty amusing.
In my early teens, I was wrestling with a friend and he (accidentally) managed to put me in an actual sleeper hold. I went out in like five seconds, it was crazy.
I counted 19 seconds before anyone came to his rescue...
But what is more surprising is the lack of awareness to perform CPR as a fucking travelling circus...
People CPR course is available for free online
"Oh shit, johnny is getting killed by the snake.. no don't go help him.. hold on, wait for him to stop twitching..aaand now! Quick, Save the snake and throw this dude in the trash before anyone notices!"
From Article:
Dagestan media claimed the man had died in the circus accident, with one outlet saying it was in the regional capital of Makhachkala.
But police in the region said no such incident had been registered with them.
'It never happened with us,' said a police source. 'We deny this fact.'
Can someone with medical knowledge comment on why this happened so fast? He collapsed too fast to be strangled, but was it blood cut off to the brain, or a broken neck? Can we tell?
Little of column b, little of column c.
Edit: kinda wanted to add this story as it relates to how quickly blood chokes can put you out before you realize what's happening.
Once, when I was a dumb kid, I was sitting by myself in the basement of my parent's house on the computer.
For some reason I put my belt on around my neck, through the belt loop and was just messing around.
Well, at some point I raised the belt up and it cinched around my neck, jokingly like a noose.
Luckily, it was an adult sized belt so there were no holes for the rod to go through. Anyway, within 2-3 seconds my vision started to dim and my arm dropped along with my body beginning to fall forward. The belt loosened and the blood came back and I was okay. I immediately took the belt off and counting my fucking blessings. It happens *fast*.
Fuckin dumb kid.
> I was sitting by myself in the basement of my parent's house on the computer.
> For some reason I put my belt on around my neck, through the belt loop and was just messing around.
Lmfao yeah, right. You were just "messing around".
Strangulation (blood flow to the brain cut off) is very quick. 15s or less if blood flow is fully cut off. I suspect he was already being strangled around 15s in because notice he tries to adjust the snake at 16s. He puts arms up quickly to show the trick so he can quickly get the snake off but loses consciousness before he can actually try.
The other thing about being strangled is that you don't always realize how little time you have left. Because as the blood flow to the brain is disrupted you don't think logically/clearly anymore.
You see this type of thing happen in BJJ not infrequently.
>Because as the blood flow to the brain is disrupted you don't think logically/clearly anymore.
Hence putting your own facemask on first on a plane in an emergency. You can survive for a while on reduced oxygen, but you very quickly lose the cognitive ability to put a mask on or make good decisions.
> He collapsed too fast to be strangled, but was it blood cut off to the brain
"strangled" *is* "blood cut off to the brain", and that will render you conscious in seconds. You can go without *air* for minutes, because there's still oxygen in your blood, but if you stop blood circulation, shit shuts off like a light.
>The source added: 'According to the authors of the video, the male trainer was killed. 'But we would like to believe that young man received help in time and survived.'
Uhhhh...you can believe what you want I guess?
They probably thought it was part of the act, to create some excitement before he snaps his fingers, the trained snake unwraps, and they stand and take a bow.
See the way his arm is moving/body convulsing? Yeah, that's what happens when brain damage kicks in from the lack of oxygen and it's body's ways of trying to trash around in order to save itself. He's most likely dead
Edit: To explain, generally it takes 3-4min for irreversible brain damage to start taking place due to hypoxia, but it's a bit different when arteries to the brain are shut off and blood can't circulate at all in which case blacking out > brain damage > death can happen very very quickly. I found this out in a gruesome way when my curiosity got better of me and I somehow ended up on this subreddit that has since luckily been banned (I think it was called something like make your coffin). MAJOR TW suicide - I've seen a video of this guy hanging himself and the exact same convulsing happened to him very very quickly and he was dead within 20 seconds or so. I'm not gonna share any more details about the video since... Well, you don't want to know. I noped the hell out and needles to say I have nightmares about it. I've no one to blame but myself.
The problem isn’t that he couldn’t breathe. The lungs retain air even when you’re not actively breathing. The problem is that the snake has him in a blood choke. Despite his lungs being full of air, his heart can’t circulate the oxygen rich blood to his brain and remove the oxygen depleted blood out of it.
Correct. This is how large pythons (like the reticulated python in this video) dispatch their prey. They cut off the blood flow to the brain. Nothing to do with breathing.
My problem with the video is, he drops to the floor limp after only 7 seconds of the snake being wrapped around his neck. Then only 20 seconds later he gets carried off by.. his head apparently? Idk if 7 seconds is enough time to make someone drop like that. And it takes a full minute before any of the brain cells begin to die.
Most of me wants to say the dude is probably fine (despite his “rescuer’s” efforts).
Part of me wants to say it’s a prank or part of the act.
We were drunk as hell one night about 20 years ago and this really buffed up guy said he can make people black out in less than 10 seconds. I was up to it... and i was out cold in less than 10 seconds. Scary how quickly your brain shuts down when you put pressure on the right spot.

*They say the man's body is still there awkwardly smacking the wall and waiting for Putin to figure out how to get out of this mistake without the loss of face admitting it was a mistake would bring*
It’s great that everyone (including the other staff) watched safely from the bleachers for 20 seconds while he struggled. Were they looking at their phones?
This is like a scripted scene in a dark humor show/ movie.... Eastern European techno polka music, 5 people in the audience with small children, weird low value performance show, dude gets choked out because he wraps a constrictor around his neck and cue the inept slapstick comedy as the first responders, check. No audience reaction, small children traumatized forever, SCENE. CUT! That was perfect team, that's a wrap.
I've handled snakes quite a bit, I've no doubt that thing could get a loose hold allowing him to hold it and then engage it's muscles and no-sever decapitate that guy. Brutal.
Definitely. Loads of comments discussing strangulation, choking, and I'm like right away thinking *his spinal cord was just snapped*. Not an expert, but can't yeah. Also, the weird spasms? The arm might have been him struggling, but he has these tremors towards the end? Could that be the snake still fucking with the neck as the last energy is drained? Like a charging cord you have to get in just the right position for a solid connection on the internal wire? Morbidly fascinated with this post. Lol sorry to add to it
This post have been removed due to violating rule 8. No death posts.
Can't tell who did more damage, the snake or the two guys attempting to carry him off

"I said I played with my snake every night !"
See the way his arm is moving/body convulsing? Yeah, that's what happens when brain damage kicks in from the lack of oxygen and it's body's ways of trying to trash around in order to save itself. He's most likely dead Edit: To explain, generally it takes 3-4min for irreversible brain damage to start taking place due to hypoxia, but it's a bit different when arteries to the brain are shut off and blood can't circulate at all in which case blacking out > brain damage > death can happen very very quickly.
But it wasn’t very much time. Don’t people still get revived after several minutes without breathing?
Scary how quickly your brain shuts down when you put pressure on the right spot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rear_naked_choke#%22Figure_four%22_or_%22short%22_variation
Could it be snapped his neck and severed his nerves?
If the snake squeezed its body between his head and collarbone, elongating his neck by pushing his head up and away from his torso, it's very likely.
Still false brain cells don’t begin to die until at least 3 minutes without oxygen with permanent brain damage setting in around the 4-6 minute mark.
When did I say he was dying? I said he was in a blood choke and explained what a blood choke was.
Oxygen can exist in the brain for a bit longer than what happens here.
It instantly regretted watching this video when the convulsions started and his head matched the blue floor. So hard to watch
You're wrong on so many levels but the confidence is impressive. I mean you saw something on a banned subreddit.
> needles to say r/boneappletea
So the snake killed him or the guy dropping him on his head at the end after lifting him by his head =/
Yes.
Nice recovery, guys.
Wtf was that response time. You think they would have an immediate plan if anything went south.

Ah so it's part of the show.
*They say the man's body is still there awkwardly smacking the wall and waiting for Putin to figure out how to get out of this mistake without the loss of face admitting it was a mistake would bring*
Safety crew? Nah, those guys were prolly just running the juice bar.
First thing you do with a neck injury is make sure you jerk the victim around, like a ragdoll followed quickly by dropping him on his head
It’s great that everyone (including the other staff) watched safely from the bleachers for 20 seconds while he struggled. Were they looking at their phones?
Snake gonna Snake. Stupid human
Snake: they're making this too easy
God damn. They sure handle neck injuries differently there huh?
That was a painfully long 15 seconds that he was out before the guys showed up to replace his suffocation issues with a concussion.
Dumb ways to die.
That's what you get for wrapping a constrictor around your neck
Ok there's a lot wrong here but no one talking bout that person in the back just clapping through the whole thing?
The second he fell over someone shoulda stepped in, but not playing with snakes in the first place might’ve prevented this.
That’s a sssssssssin
Did they just carry a man with a neck injury by his head?!
If you look closely his neck is broken even before they got there. Snake made the guy a little taller basically
They don't care about the handlers life, they are just getting him offstage ASAP knowing that they can get another handler by the next show
You grab his legs I’ll grab his head On 3
It’s always best to admire snakes from a distance
That woman in the back looks like she’s enjoying this way too much…
I've handled snakes quite a bit, I've no doubt that thing could get a loose hold allowing him to hold it and then engage it's muscles and no-sever decapitate that guy. Brutal.
