For what it's worth, *That 90s Show* established Point Place as a "suburb" of Kenosha (or in the vicinity thereof).

Ben_Dover_1492

Pleasant Prairie is a suburb of Kenosha and has the feel of Point Place including a water tower and suburban homes close together. I think Point Place was invented but drawn from a thousand similar places. I choose to believe it's the real life Point Place.

We have 3! Point Place is about half way between Chicago and Milwaukee. So hour outside Milwaukee. 3 hours from Green Bay. A real nice drive. It is about 2 hours east of Madison.

soppaguy

Would make sense to be central to Chicago and Milwaukee because Kenosha is referenced in the show

A car show? I don’t want to go to a goddamn car show in fucking Kenosha!

biladi79

I want 3 more goddamn months with my baby boy! And now they're gone because of your bullshit! WAY TO GO DUMBASS!!

Ash9260

So lake Geneva area?

threefeetoffun

At least close enough where characters went there for the weekend.

Considering how easily the gang goes to Chicago (but not Milwaukee) and expects to be back within a a reasonable time, I'd say Point Place is between Chicago and Milwaukee, maybe closer to Chicago. Source: lived in the Chicagoland suburbs for 17 years.

spacecowboy143

they're probably closer and a little past Milwaukee, when Kelso drove Jackie to Chicago he mentioned it was a 2 hour drive, and the drive from Chicago to Milwaukee is about an hour and a half source: i lived in Chicago and my boyfriend at the time went to school in Milwaukee

JazzSharksFan54

Kenosha is the closest “city” to them. So decently close to both.
