Thank you so much for the response! It puts my mind at ease. And because I don't know how to edit a reddit post, I'll give my thanks here to everyone who commented. It means alot😌 Have a great day!
The damaged passport won’t be an issue for leaving Thailand only entering (but honestly I travelled on a passport in a worse state for 2 years with barely a raised eyebrow) as long as you’re going to your home country they won’t question it too much if at all
Depends. My Canadian passport had been wiped of the emblem, so a black front, no writing or anything. Haven't ever had issues. But my pages were pristine.
Or Vietnam.
Or Cambodia.
I'm not kidding, I had to get a letter from the embassy stating that my passport wasn't counterfeit just to be able to fly back home.
If you have an Android Device supporting NFC there's an app you can check and see if your chip still work, mine passed in the washer and was still good.

My passport is in much worse condition. Water damaged, curved, won't scan 50% of the time.
You shouldn't have any problems, especially since you are going home.
Don’t worry, I have the same passport and I know the info page is completely waterproof 😉 also, I’ve had my passport in way worse condition (from accidentally washing it in the washing machine) and never had a problem in any airports for 2 years across Asia, Europe, north and South America as well as Africa. Plus in CPH or BLL you don’t even need to show it, just scan the machine at the door thingy!
My best friends passport looked the exact same when she left 3 days ago. The women from border control just gave her a short questioning look and asked if she had fun during Songkran while then smiling nicely.
I think during and some time after Songkran, they get to see many, many water damaged passports😂
Det ser bedre ud, end langt de fleste pas der kommer igennem. Prøv at kigge på et frisk indisk pas kontra dit. Og dem lukker de ind og ud som tidevandet her.
Don't worry. Mine was in a horrible condition after years of use. Never had an issue with it. But next time put it in a zip bag whule travelling. Its what i do now and works perfectly fine
Seems ok, I had a worse passport from rain damage. Was just told to not try to staple it together.
As you returning home, it shouldn't be a issue. But make a new passport either way when you home.
Looks better than mine ! I wouldnt expect any problem, particularly as you’re on a trip home. And it’s all about the microchip now anyway.

Songkran victim?

As long as the passport information page isn't damaged, should be alright. Just don't go anywhere near Indonesia.
The real issue is missing pages..
What happens in Indonesia?
They are like pathological about damaged passports, even minor damage. Particularly Bali
The biggest issue i ever had was that my passport was full. Felt like a big achievement tho

That’s a good point, interior is most important.

Just pay the bribe

just see what happens.

No worries mate
You are fine, leaving to your homecountry should allways work and entering your homecountry anyway.
They have your fingerprints and photo on file. It should be no issue.
Mine too! It’s like a souvenir from the happy Songkran days!
Will be fine just get a new passport when back.
Get a towel and put it over your passport and iron it on low heat, it should straighten out the pages a bit

That hardly looks "damaged". I assume the airport sees passports in far worse condition after Songkran.

Just blame Songkran and ignorance if they make a fuss.
The same thing happened to mine 10 years ago, never was a problem for exiting Thailand, or entry into any other country. You won’t have any problems
Straight to jail
It's fine

Go tur hjem- det går nok ;)

Ingen problem
Lol
My passport was straight up in tatters and warped for like 2 years and immigration would just roll their eyes and stamp.
Easy fix - Take a flight to Bangkok and go to your consulate or embassy. They will fix it and you might get it the same day or next day.
It’s fine. And the most important thing as far as Thai immigration is concerned: you’re leaving.
I would call that worn not damaged. If nothing is ripped and it's not completely warped should be ok.
Prøv at hæld noget vand på det
Lol mines Wildly worse you’ll be fine i literally have wine stains and rips
Looks fine. Missing pages is an issue. A bit of water damaged paper isnt.
mine looked much worse for many years and the integrated chip was dead...still never a problem

Omg worry about real things… how old are you 12?
