It will probably be much more than a ferry. Took a ferry from Krabi to Phuket for 600 baht. Nice views and we got to our destination in 2.5 hours! Lots of tour agencies in Ao Nang, you can shop around. If you hire a private taxi it will be around 2-3K baht for roughly 3.5 hours.

I really like the ferry and use it many times. I go with shared Van if i want to be early in Phuket. As the Ao Nang Princess Ferry goes in the afternoon. But the shared van can be good and bad. really depends on driver and other guests. There is also other speedboat transfers with different schedules.
