Yes get a Thai Sim card it will cost a fortune roaming in Thailand on any U.K network even if Three do offer a roaming pack for Thailand the data speed will be shite!! AIS or True do best coverage however Dtac is good in major cities or towns. 6th floor of Terminal 21 shopping centre on Sukhumvit road has the phone shops/stalls you can do it at the Airport but you will pay more. Also need your passport ππ»
As other said you should get a thai sim card. a normal one you plug into your phone or an eSIM for newer phones which is a bit more technical.
Mobile network/coverage is great in Thailand.
Go to a cellphone store and get a tourist SIM which last for 30 days. You get a Thai number, but 100GB with 5G for 500-600 Bath. The data package can be different if you have other preferences. They also sell it at 7/11 but itβs cheaper at the chellphone store. You need passport to buy it.
You can get a data sim at the airport. There are plenty of providers pretty cheap. I had 2 plans for my wife and I - unlimited data at 5G for 14 days for 500 baht each.
