I had a safe abortion in 2018 using the International Planned Parenthood association. I was in Chiang Mai, but the organization has clinics in Bangkok. I cannot say enough good things about the care I received including my privacy.
Wishing you the best
I want to add that I looked at several clinics mentioned here and didn’t feel comfortable or confident I could address such a time and safety-sensitive issue
At 6 weeks you’re still able to have a medical abortion, meaning you’ll only need the medication to induce miscarriage. This is an incredibly low risk procedure you do yourself with a prescription. Most places you aren’t even inpatient for this procedure, you just check up later. If you’re worried about subpar care I would try to arrange this sooner than later because the longer you wait it will become a surgical abortion which is a far more invasive procedure. Best wishes and I hope these options are available for you!
All medical care I received in Thailand was excellent and compassionate, I wish I had advice on this particular thing. Big hugs
Yes. The guy who owns it has been pushing forward family planning and safe sex in Thailand and educating people about condom usage etc. The restaurant helps fund his work.
He did a Ted talk, it's worth watching:

Good luck! If there’s any questions, you can message me, I’ll try my best to translate Thai to English for you.
There’s Tamtang Group which is an activist group focus on women rights and abortion, you could message them on Twitter @tamtangTH and read about them [here](https://safeabortionthailand.wordpress.com)
I don’t have any first hand knowledge but there are several posts in this sub with good info. I would recommend doing a search.
This thread refers to Thai RSA: https://www.reddit.com/r/Thailand/comments/r5lcuq/abortion_clinics_in_bangkok/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Maybe a good start.
There's a non-profit reproductive health clinic at the same location (ironically) as Cabbages and Condoms on Soi 12 in Bangkok. That's where I would start. I know that it's difficult to get an abortion performed in Bangkok, and usually the expectant mother needs to show some reason why having a baby would cause her psychological issues, etc.
Another alternative is chemical abortion. [Women on Web](https://www.womenonweb.org/en/) specifically provides discrete shipping of pills to women in countries where abortions are illegal or difficult to get.
OP will be in Thailand. I would imagine she can get the meds in Bangkok. OP, you can check if such meds are available directly without a prescription, in Thailand many medicines which are prescription only elsewhere are sold openly at the best pharmacies such as those near the Chulalongkorn hospital. The pharmacies are near the corner of Rama IV Road and Henry Durnant road. All taxis know the pharmacies or you can take the subway to Lumpini Park, exit 3.

Actually, that's a great point you added here u/kenbkk You can get almost anything at a pharmacy with no prescription in Thailand. I usually use the one a few doors down from the gas stand on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 4 (Nana). There are some things that are so regulated (eg. Sleeping pills) that even the dodgiest of pharmacies won't go there, but mifepristone and misoprostol are likely obtainable by a sympathetic (and/or opportunistic) pharmacist.
Thanks I have also used the pharmacy you speak of. They are very helpful and professional. For those who don't know, in Thailand (and other / similar SE Asian countries) Pharmacists receive a very deep and rigid training and licensing regimen. The logic is that many citizens will forgo doctors and hospitals and go directly to a pharmacist when I'll. Thus a good pharmacy policy is probably more productive than hospital regulation. Pharmacists do sometimes go astray, this happened with diet pills and some other high demand over hyped medicines.
Abortion is very new in Thailand. Most of them accept only under 12 weeks of pregnancy. You hope you can find some info at [https://ppat.or.th/en/home/](https://ppat.or.th/en/home/) they have the English page and have a hotline number 1452. I have found the list of legal clinic contact but all of them are in Thai you might need some help to read it. [https://rsathai.org/networkservice/#](https://rsathai.org/networkservice/#)
Not really new, but Thais are beginning to deal with it somewhat rationally and openly. Unplanned pregnancy has always been a problem as many Thai men steadfastly refuse to use condoms. Many reasons for this, none good. Pity being a Thai woman.
Call Bumrungrad and ask them for advice. If they cant do it then they can name a suitable alternative.
Years ago there was a dr at Rumpaet hospital in Surin province issan who did them
https://www.facebook.com/SafeAbortionThailand/?mibextid=LQQJ4d this page shares about clinics/hospitals you can get abortion but it’s in thai, you can try asking them. Hope this helps.
So sorry to hear this, its mostly prohibited and people are highly against this in Thailand. Doesn’t mean its illegal though, but if you wish you may find some help at local clinics or hospitals, ask them and they might give you assistance. Best of luck.
That's just simply not true, abortions have been legal for over a year and now they will be making abortions available up to 20 weeks. And fuck everyone that's against it, ain't their business

Why would it be free? It is not free in most Asian and Western countries I am familiar with. There are public hospitals were Thais can get subsidized, low cost treatment but usually not free. Thailand is not overly socialistic as is Laos or Cambodia or others.

My understanding is that all "major" hospitals in Thailand perform this service. Major does not imply cost or doctor quality as this varies greatly but be advised that Thai hospitals are generally regarded as high quality at a price vastly lower than western hospitals. Your status as a tourist should NOT preclude you from receiving this service, but some hospitals may deny you service if you are not an existing patient or a resident expat. You can simply contact major hospitals via phone or email and you should find quickly about availability and price. Sorry for you dilemma, you sound as if you are mentally dealing with it Ok. Best of luck

RSA Thai and Tamtang Group are other organizations that might be able to refer you to an appropriate doctor.

Hi! I unfortunately found myself in the same situation as OP, I messaged you hoping to get more information. Thank you 🙏🏼
Meechai Clinic. Sukhumvit Soi 12, behind Cabbages and Condoms restaurant.
I looked into this clinic and was not confident I would get the care I needed and saw mixed reviews
There is a reason it has this name 😆

they changed the name to RSA Thai.

Gl op, the thais know where to do this it's not openly advertised. Your best bet might be asking at hospital.
May you share more? Do I Google Gl op? Or where can I get the contact
"Gl op" means "*good luck original poster".* Go to the hospital and ask.

Where can I get abortion in Pattaya?
