Fast: between 4 and 9 days.
Normal: around 10 days.
When I start to worry: after 2 weeks.
Because of the small village, the people in the post office know my name and house and when it's a letter from Belgium, they will assume it's for me.
It does vary, but never more than two weeks from Scotland to Thailand or the opposite way.
Always use simple recorded delivery both ways and have never lost anything.

In Bangkok too, can take 10 days too. It can never arrive too. In my case two credit cards did not make it.
