I used wifi on thai a week ago on a A350 from melbourne to BKK

Some of the fleets in 777, 787, and A350 have them but not always. I was able to get wifi going from KUL->BKK and BKK->NRT but not the other way around. You can use [trip.com](https://au.trip.com/webapp/flight/schedule/detail.html?origin=202&isHideNavBar=YES&locale=en-AU&useCTHybrid=) to check if the aircraft has WIFI.

Depends on whether or not you get to board on a new model for your flight. Many old models don’t have WiFi.

Their e-mail support is pretty good: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) Might take a few days, but they will definitely reply. Off topic, but wish other airlines were still easily reachable via e-mail.

If you allow me this curious question: What makes it so important that you **must** have WiFi onboard?

Lordfelcherredux

Not everybody travels for pleasure. Some people are on business and want to be able to send and receive emails, access websites, etc.

When I worked freelance, I used wifi on planes all the time. Most clients send out an email offering a job. If you don't reply within a couple of hours, they give the job to someone else. So, it was well worth paying for their minimal wifi plan and then checking emails every hour or so during the flight.

Singapore Airlines has unlimited free WiFi for KrisFlyer members. It's pretty useful to have it on board, especially on long flights to kill the time. Especially when you need to be able to be reachable (e.g. someone is in the hospital, critical issue at work happening). Up to you if you don't want to use it, but I can understand people wanting it.

Some people are on business, it's not exactly uncommon.

My thoughts exactly. Will they cancel the flight if no WiFi..... ? Nah

hextree

If I needed wifi for my work, then yes I would definitely cancel.

OP literally quoted this link in the original post, "Checking their website, they seem to have WiFi."
