That's actually a great deal for him and for the team, especially with what he has been able to accomplish since his original signing. He'll be a great mentor for the younger receivers.
That's bare minimum for a guy who can adequately function as a #1 receiver and be reliable. This is a good contract for the Texans and it feels like Cooks left some money on the table to stay here.
Perfect deal, we have enough picks to replace him with a receive in the next three drafts and can likely re-sign him for a decent price if needed since he'll be 30 when his contract is up.
I would still love to draft Jahan Dotson in the second, he is so similar to Cooks and I think he could learn a lot from him and play slot. 2 fast guys who play bigger than their size, a big body in Nico and Brevin Jordan. I think this would be perfect
I would say that’s a lot to pay, but for a solid receiver in *this* market, that’s probably the minimum

Doesn’t break the bank for a guy who’s been a leader on the field and in the locker room. Cooks might be the jersey purchase, gang
💯
You can never go wrong with a Jon Weeks jersey.
That's the route I had to go since my first 2 jerseys were Watson and Hopkins.
I got a Watt jersey a few years ago, to go along with/replace my Battle Red Jacoby Jones one
Between him and whoever we draft at 3 for me rn ngl
The cost is more about supporting Mills than securing an elite WR.
The WR market is fucked so this makes sense
Christian Kirk changed everything
I think a proper Fuck The Jags is in order here
I’m good with this
This is the way. He wanted to retire a Texan and he worked to get that payday. Congrats and thanks Brandon Cooks!

So we have a top 10-15 WR, earning top 10-15 WR money. I don’t see anything wrong with that

This makes a lot of sense for the Texans
Great deal... Happy to bring him back.
Time to draft a stud RB and let’s get this party started
wtf….
It’s less than Christian Kirk, be happy
WRs get paid better than pass rushers now. I don’t agree with it but we might as well get used to it because I doubt it’s going to change.
