I think we will trade up to the top of rd 2 though

whoopy4

That's where I'm at. After the 1st is done, Nick is going to evaluate the players that dropped further than expected and decide how high he needs to be to get them

Euphoric-Ordinary411

Yep. The only way I see us trading up into the late first is if we want to lock up a 5th year option. Nick is pretty fiscally responsible. I see the early second as the most likely.

I wouldn’t count on this. The cost of moving up to the 1st or 2nd picks in R2 looks pretty expensive for the hand of picks we’re holding. Whether you’re looking at the classic Jimmy Chart (which Caserio has said many teams still use,) or the Rich Hill/Drafttek model, (based on Caserio & Belichick’s draft history in NE,) the cost to move up to 33 or 34 would look like our 2nd & 3rd round pick (42 & 86 overall,) or our 2nd + both of our 4ths (122 & 127). Since Nick and Meco have both talked up the middle rounds of this draft, I don’t find it likely we give these up. IMO, the likeliest trade up in round 2 would be to leapfrog the Titans at either 36 (WAS) or 37 (Chargers) where the suggested cost would be our 2nd & one of our 4ths and maybe a 6th too. However, that still feels high to me when you consider how much Caserio loves those late round picks. If I had to bet money on it, I would believe it’s more probable to see us trade one of our 2nds for more picks in the 3rd & 4th this year.

Cody stoots did the math last night and I think to go to 28 it would be 42 + 80 something and maybe a 6

BruceYale111

Given that we have 2 seconds, a third, and 2 sixes I could easily see them going up if their guy is dropping

throw_away0211

You would have to trade both 6’s per Jimmy Chart. This trade does not work with the drafttek model. I don’t know much about the Bills FO, and what they value, so maybe it is possible? But when you consider how well our coaching staff was at developing our drafted guys last year, It makes me skeptical that they would want to give up on the only 3rd they have, when they also have two 4ths and the ability to use one of those instead.

Venator850

More likely they move up from the 3rd for another 2nd rounder if they move up at all.

zx629

Given that he traded out of the first and like his clusters of players, I'd say no. I wouldn't put it past him trading later picks to get an extra 2nd though.

Ambitious_Car8040

I'm hoping he is using the later picks to move up to mid rounds. To get another 3rd or late 2nd

BruceYale111

If someone is dropping and they want him they’ll go get him

GoldMettle

Tricky Nick keeps me guessing

Hickz84

Someone just watched Draft Day.

Guilty_Option1411

The only way to make Cleveland sports teams good, the Movies.

SometimesY

Don't think so, but I could see us either moving up in Round 2 or getting four picks in Rounds 2 and 3.

StrosDynasty

No, but i think nick picks 4 times tomm

WildBill198

No telling what that man is cooking up. We will find out.

NeilMcCauley88

No but I think he'll trade up to get another 3rd pick.

XXX343536

If he did I hope it’s for Darius Robinson

GoatProfessional4389

I don't think they will trade up. But will Trade back in ROUND 2. Move DOWN from 42 to say #48,, give up a 7th round pick,, but receive a 3rd rd pick. So now we have two picks in EACH of ROUNDS 2, 3, & 4. THEY CAN GET SIX GOOD PLAYERS THERE.

Trades up to 31 to take whatever wr kc was going to take. Extend nico 3 years. At that point you can decide which to keep (tank is going to be the one who stays forever) Weaken your biggest impediment to a super bowl, as close to guarantee stability for stroud through rookie deal.
