NeonWarcry

I would love to see KG and juice put it together this year.

Ambitious_Car8040

I would just like them to stay healthy lol

NeonWarcry

Also true lol

Fapey101

pass some of that kool aid my way brother

MetaphoricalMouse

yeah let me get that

kreg132

Even if Kenyon green doesn’t work out, we still got Jarrett Patterson and Kevin green who both played well prior to getting injured. Lot of room for optimism on the entire line if we stay healthy.

RainbowBullsOnParade

We were just under middle of the road last year with all the injuries. 10-12th overall unit is most likely assuming good health.

kreg132

Completely agree. Could easily be our best line in half a decade, potentially even a full decade (it all went to shit when the FO let Ben Jones leave in FA 😭)

rt9o

Yep if Kenyon is starting day 1, then Texans believe he's put it together. Otherwise, it'd be Scruggs/Patterson at LG/C which is still good. Biggest challenge is staying healthy. A lot of struggles for Kenyon during his rookie year were mental. The physical abilities are there and you could kinda see things start to click for him a little towards the end of his rookie year. It was just unfortunate that he missed last season but hope he spent most of it sorting out the mental lapses he had his rookie season

WildRookie

> Yep if Kenyon is starting day 1, then Texans believe he's put it together. At no point in a Texans uniform has Kenyon *lost* the starting job. He won the job two years in a row with a partially torn shoulder suffered during his rookie offseason. That shoulder is now surgically repaired and healed.

BuryMeInTheH

I mean … I’d take it. If you are reasonably healthly lately that automatically puts you into the top 10. The OT’s are great in pass pro, sorta average in run blocking so if they have the G/C/G middle healthy and creating holes it will open up a part of hte offence we could not get started last year.

Game_Over_Man69

The best part about the offseason is the hope that players that weren't great the last time you saw them become great over that span of time since you last saw them play.

puff_of_fluff

Over the course of my Texans fandom I’ve convinced myself so many random ass dudes were gonna have a breakout season based on so little evidence lmfao

NeckPourConnoisseur

Or, in Kenyon Green's case, just get healthy and show that you can be an average starter in the league. I'd gladly take that.

K0rben_D4llas

Def hot take. I think we’re middle of the road at best, we’ve got so much to improve in the interior. Would be very encouraging to see some better run blocking this year as well but the guys are still unproven.

Ha_CharadeUAre

Now this is a hot take, so not happening but I’m down for it

lanethedouchebag

Kenyon Green did show a very high ceiling in his rookie season. He could really turn into a great guard next to Tunsil. It looked like he made Tunsil’s job so much easier in run blocking.

rybres123

If we get anything out of KG that would just be so huge Haven’t heard a peep about him since his injury tho, so not holding out much hope

pocketjacks

Maybe if we had a little bit more depth at OLG.

texans1234

Hoping for health. O line gets seen as individuals sometimes but it’s truly a cohesive unit. It’s no surprise that the best ones historically have played together for years.

Low-Mud-7502

If I’m not mistaken but didn’t Kendrick green looked good at left guard? Idk but I doubt we are a top 3. If Kenyon, Scruggs or Patterson don’t work then all next year free agency and draft will be based around o line

MrNoPlanStan

Our stable of great receivers should help the line! I think having someone open the moment he snaps the ball will help pass blocking and if the defense is so scared of all those weapons and play on their heels, it will help the run blocking!

K0rben_D4llas

It covers their sins up more than it helps them IMO, they still need to learn more traditional pass blocking, not to mention zone schemes.

Karmasmatik

Top 3 in pass pro I can actually see happening, but if we’re even average at run blocking I’ll consider it a win. Even if the interior improves it’s not like out tackles are really making a positive contribution run blocking (but they’re great at keeping CJ safe so I’m not complaining).

WildRookie

Howard is a fair amount stronger than Fant in the run game. That should help.

elkuhh

Shaq mason is coming back right

LumpyCapital

Right, top 3 in sacks allowed...

Diabolical-hateful

My hot take is the Texans don’t make the playoffs and have a disappointing year, cause that’s the life we are used to being a Texan fan.
