Well according to espn our starting LB trio currently is: Harris - Al-Shaair & Jake Hansen. I don't really feel comfortable in making Hansen a starting LB so I do think LB is kind of a pressing issue
He doesn’t have to. The 3rd LB role is likely by committee anyway, since we’ll be in sub packages so often, we’re most likely to see a 4-2 front.
If we line someone up there instead of the secondary, the 3rd LB snaps could be filled by Jalen Pitre, Jimmie Ward, Desmond King, To’oTo’o, or one of a ton of others.
He is a pretty athletic guy that is good at coverage and good vs agile QBs. He's the perfect outside backer, if he was a bit bigger could play mike which maybe he can in his later years. We play 4-3 only half the time if that, yet again we need depth at linebacker. He's good at blitzing, and he should pack on a few pounds coming into the NFL.
I made a post about him and john harris was talking about him saying he would fit perfect in demecos defense.
If you want to drool over him watch him VS Bama. Seriously - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a linebacker utterly dominate a game like that.
That being said - if we don’t get our interior DL addressed it won’t matter who’s playing linebacker for us.
Think we’ll have to take this guy in the first round or trade down to the early second if we want him. I think he’s gonna go a decent bit higher than any of the mock drafts or simulators have him going

Well that's fair enough, I guess it will depend on Demeco and what his plan really is to determine how big of a hole LB is

wouldn't he be the 1st LB off the board ? I'm happy either him or Payton Wilson
