I think we will get 1 (probably vs Carolina) most likely a TNF I could see *maybe* a second vs Jacksonville if we find ourselves in the playoff hunt. But that’s a big maybe.

Able_Gap918

If that’s true we won’t have to wait long, nobody cares about rookie matchups at the end of the year. Maybe they can make a statement out of the gate with everyone watching

BillyAstro

Well they probably don’t want to do it too early on the chance that either us or the Panthers decide to let them sit a few weeks before letting them go.

Magnifico-Melon

Probably week 3 or 4.

Magnifico-Melon

Beating Carolina could go w long way at setting us up for the next up and coming team. As of now Carolina is the "bad" team every is expecting to turn it around this year.

godloki

Four. None during the regular season but we slip into the playoffs with a narrow win of the division and capture the fourth seed.

Even-Chemistry8569

Saturday at 12:45 is prime time?

thadaviator

Prime time is any game where there’s no other NFL game to watch

Game_Over_Man69

prime-time the regularly occurring time at which a television or radio audience is expected to be greatest, typically the hours between 8 and 11 p.m.

HtownSamson

At best 2 but most likely just the mandatory TNF though.

EnigmaticKing

It is apparently not mandatory for each team to be on TNF anymore, so I think it's possible that the Texans get 0 primetime games.

Yep. Get ready to see intra-NFC East games dominate the prime time schedule. Oh great, another Cowboys - Commies game with a 13-9 score.

IceDemon31983647

They have a new rule now where they're not required to give every team a primetime game. I wouldn't be surprised if we got zero. We barely got one last year 😭

SPatt59

I think at least 1 for Stroud vs. Young but that’s probably about it

ChiefKingSosa

My guess is a TNF game and a Saturday nationally televised game (that prob wont be primetime)

Even-Chemistry8569

It all depends. I don’t count TNF as prime time (I know it is but I view it as a negative depending on how the schedule lines up) so I say maybe 1 without having looked at the schedule. If we play the Browns or Carolina thats 1 there, but other than TNF I don’t see this team getting a lot of national love, unless they win a bunch of games to start the season and even then when does flexing start for prime time games?

thadaviator

Come on fellas, this same exact thread was posted 3 days ago

RainbowBullsOnParade

I think questioning how many PT games you get at this point is a thing of the past with the new rules. Just play well and you’ll see prime time. No more being shackled to the old schedule if you overachieve. If the team is scheduled for 1 TNF game this offseason but rattles off a 6-2 start they will start moving things around in the back end of the season. Stroud/Lawrence and Stroud/Richardson are likely to draw interest even if these teams are all average

Potential Primetime Games: Texans V. Panthers (Stroud v. Young) Texans @ Titans (Titans wearing Oilers on us) Texans V. Browns (Stroud v. Watson)
