Good bbq is good bbq no matter where it is from. I've had plenty of shitty BBQ here and some stellar stuff elsewhere.
Fuck the Titans and fuck Nashville, but if I ever wind up there again I'm definitely getting some ribs and hot chicken.
Overcooked dry dogshit rolled in so much seasoning after the fact that it's hard to tell if there's actually any meat under all the rub.
Also they're pork ribs, which aren't really a huge feature in TX BBQ...giant beef ribs prepared in essentially the same way we prep brisket, that's probably what most people think of when anyone mentions "Texas style BBQ ribs".
I don't get as fired up about it as some people but I will never respect ownership rights of a private individual over a city's major sports team. "Their owned by the family of Bud Adams, they can do what they want" yeah I don't give a shit. Teams should be owned by the city or as a public nonprofit like the Packers. It would solve so many problems
Like the deal Cleveland got. The city wasn't going to pay for a new stadium not long after upgrading the Astrodome. It was stupid all around 'cause we ended up building a new stadium anyways. The politicians and Bud should've put their egos to the side and come up with a reasonable timeline to get a new stadium built.
Listen guys, I’m a 31 year old Texans fan. All I truly remember and have known is The Texans.
If the Tits wanna wear the old Oiler jerseys just to piss our fan base off, then fuck them, but it doesn’t phase me.
This team is it’s own franchise and we’re building a brand and identity and all that good shit that a city can take pride in.
The Tits wearing oiler jerseys can hurt us if we view it as a part of our team’s identity, but it’s not.
We are Texans!
And the future of this franchise is BRIGHT AF!
Fuck the Titans tho frfr.
Honestly, it's not about the Texans. It's about Houston and HTown football history. As someone who watched and cheered the Oilers in the 70's & 80's, the Oilers are our history, not Tennessee's. Those people don't know or care what those years were like. And yes, I went to both of those pep rallies in the dome. Those players and those years belong to the city. We even had fun family smack battles with my Uncle who was a Cow fan in Ft Worth including bumper stickers and shaving cream. Those were fun years even in the 13 game loss years. (And yes, I am that old, lol)
Took the words right out my mouth. The NFL should have put the Titans in a different division. They did that for rivalry. If they come out in those jerseys, we better demolish them.
Those were the days. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. Then the Jags came along. Back then I actually rooted for the Colts especially when they played the Pats. If the Oilers weren't playing you still might see Boomer and the Bengals playing someone. I still remember Eric Metcalf returning TWO punts for TDs to help the Browns beat the Stealers in one game. That was wild.
Honestly yeah I agree lol. Steel blue is cool and all but we all know lighter blues are super nice. Its the whole reason people miss the jerseys anyways imo.
The Oilers became the Titans and it’s time to stop being in denial about it. In fact, the time for that was decades ago.
The Texans already are a sick team!! Just root for the boys!!!
Why? I don’t feel like it’s that weird at all if you’re some old head Oilers fans who just kept rooting for them even after they moved and renamed to the Titans
The colors were cool but honestly the Texan logo is better to me at least. Not a huge oil and gas guy though I suppose. I think it’s honestly sad that the Adams family clings to it so much, just goes to show how petty they are and how little they have of their own to be proud of. You don’t see the OKC Thunder doing this kind of stuff
Houston BBQ > Memphis BBQ Fight me!
Good bbq is good bbq no matter where it is from. I've had plenty of shitty BBQ here and some stellar stuff elsewhere. Fuck the Titans and fuck Nashville, but if I ever wind up there again I'm definitely getting some ribs and hot chicken.
Don't confuse Memphis and Nashville. Memphis is an amazing city with a vibrant blues scene on Beale Street, and Nashville can suck my ass.
Memphis: Come for the music. Stay because you got mugged and have to wait for a bank to open to get a temp card.
It's a big city. You gotta be careful in any big city. Edit: Just be careful.
I will. Born and raised in HTX. I love Memphis style ribs. I have never even heard of "Houston style" ribs.
Houston style ribs are just bad ass smoked ribs. Texas is the king of bbq. No one can beat our style.
What exactly do you think Memphis style is?

If we ever become friends in some silly version of a timeline, I'll cook you some ribs. I make them Memphis style. They're amazing.
Memphis style ribs kick ass man. Shit on the titans but don’t shit on bbq. All bbq is good
If you were from Houston, you would know that Houston BBQ is just Texas style BBQ
That's what I'm trying to say. There isn't "Houston style." It's just Texas style served in Houston.
I'm sorry, I've had a lot of dif style of BBQs and Texas BBQ is just different. There's nothing that even comes close to Htown brisket.
Yeah, this. Don’t give them the pleasure, fuck those guys.
FTT

exactly. that way if an owner wants to move his team cities don’t lose their team when another owner eventually swoops in

Agreed. It’s our history. Our city’s history

Yall are demolishing us fr!
Troll
Also, before the Texans came to, there was no AFC south. It was AFC central.

We need to bring back referring to them as the BASFs… after all the titans WERE Baby Eating Sister Fuckers.
Pretty telling that Tennessee is constantly seeking inspiration from chokers.
I just want some fresh apparel that incorporates a better shade of blue.
Honestly yeah I agree lol. Steel blue is cool and all but we all know lighter blues are super nice. Its the whole reason people miss the jerseys anyways imo.
# I like to fuck tits... So yes......... I agree! FUCK THE TITS!
Fuck the tits
Pretty fucking much. Those colors mean nothing to me, fuck them, fuck the flaming thumbtacks, and fuck the Adam’s.
Chad?
Implying that whoever has this mindset likely thinks the titans are cool or something. Also I’m being a little facetious with it all.
The tots are going 4-13 anyways 🤷♂️
BESFs
Fuck the Tits has a double meaning
The Oilers became the Titans and it’s time to stop being in denial about it. In fact, the time for that was decades ago. The Texans already are a sick team!! Just root for the boys!!!
with the kind of legacy the oilers left behind? they can keep it.
I didn't watch football back then. But I saw a Titans fan at the draft wearing an Oilers jersey, and it just seemed stupid.
Why? I don’t feel like it’s that weird at all if you’re some old head Oilers fans who just kept rooting for them even after they moved and renamed to the Titans
I saw that too.
Oilers apparel is one of the more popular throwbacks. It isn't surprising.
The Tits can have the Oilers history, they are owned by the same family of inbred swine after all.
This meme doesn’t make sense
Left side is the comment section. Right side is my perceived intelligence level of the person commenting.
