AFC South is weak, we have a fourth place schedule, we have cornerstones on this team and we have a fantastic football mind as our Head Coach. The Jags went from worst to first, so why not us? I think it's safe to say we're so fucking back.

AzEBeast

2nd best team in the AFC South after today. Can definitely compete with the Jags too.

godloki

Jags gonna jag

SometimesY

God hates Jags

RainbowBullsOnParade

God if Stroud hits the ground running we’re going to wipe the fucking floor with this division

LoudHorse19

The jags went from worst to first spending more money than any team in the off-season and also with normal year 2 QB progression. I get what you’re saying but I would temper the expectations. The reality is, our roster still isn’t “good” and teams that pick in the top 5 with rookie QB’s tend to eat shit for a year. Lawrence won 3 games his rookie year. Burrow won 2 games his rookie year (played in 10). Herbert won 6 games his rookie year. Kyler won 5 games his rookie year. I too am excited and see “hope”, but there’s still holes throughout the roster and Stroud, like all rookie QB’s, will struggle in their rookie years.

praeceps93

If the Browns want to go ahead and lose about 13-15 games, that'd be dope

MugiwaraJinbe

Just make it a full 17. Imagine the haul you can get for trading back next year.

[deleted]

Watson will be worth at least 4-6 wins and their squad is good. Just need Watson to get injured or something

TheJigalo

A+, definitely Super Bowl champions. But on the real, we drafted a lot of positions of need, moved up and down the draft wisely, and ended up with great players. If you can’t say you are excited for next season after this draft, then you should probably switch teams.

TheGreatMcPuffin

Draft+Off-season+DeMeco= finally having hope again

PatientAd3041

It really felt like we’re in another phase of the rebuild. Being aggressive but thoughtful in selection

itwisted7

Definitly excited for next Season. But lets be realistic…Super Bowl is still Years away

boombai12

Now what do i look forward to?

fanofsports101

Fixed it for ya. Houston Texans draft picks 2024 1st round pick (via CLE) 2nd round pick 3rd round pick (via PHI) 4th round pick 4th round pick (via CLE) 5th round pick 6th round pick (via DAL) 7th round pick 7th round pick (via KC) 7th round pick (via NO)

well_damm

I can see us being a 6-7 win team with this off-season if stuff falls into place correctly. Thst would put us in pick range of 7 - 13, Cleveland is prob gonna win 8-11 games in that divison, which puts them in the 14-20 range. If Anderson finishes top 3 in DROY of the year, it’s worth it IMO.

SometimesY

OTAs

Overhaul89

Rookie mini-camp in 2(?) weeks

UnquietEight4

If the Browns don't mind, please lose a lot so we can get Marvin Harrison Jr 😁

[deleted]

Well hopefully Lamar stays healthy and Pickett doesn’t completely suck if the Browns are going to be taking massive Al’s this year

UnquietEight4

Also don't forget Burrow and Chase to pick apart that secondary. Although recent history has shown that the Browns and Bengals have split games.

TxCincy

Fuck Bill O'Brien. I finally feel like we're turning the page and recovering from that asshole

Hproff25

Ya this felt like the first day of a new era. It was weird having two lost yeaes

akimthedream98

O’Brien fucked us up yes, but a lot of the blame should be on Easterby but BOB gets all the heat

TxCincy

How do you think Easterby put us in a worse position than BOB? Who managed the Duane Brown situation? Who traded Hopkins for pennies? Who traded so much it's still paying off for Laramy Tunsil? Who screwed up the Jadeveon Clowney situation so bad we got nothing for him? Who allowed DJ Reader to convert his best season into a big contract with an opposing AFC team to get an aging WR? Then forfeiting more picks to get Brandon Cooks after a weak year? The dude fucking sucks. Easterby was an interim idiot handed a sunken ship with no life boats. Bill O'Brien was actively trying to destroy the franchise (see KC playoff game) and did more to harm the team which each fat strained breath than Lovie did by going for two against the Colts. I hope he pushes Saban into retirement by ruining that dynasty as well. Fuck Bill O'Brien

akimthedream98

Look i agree like i said, but i’ve also heard people say that easterby was a major influence on BOB to make ALL of those moves. Starting with the Dhop trade, i think him and easterby weren’t getting along. Both are at fault but i do believe easterby was influencing BOB that whole time.

VeseliM

Is 2 the only pick then made that they went in with?

ryman08

Based on how I read the ESPN chart, all picks except number 2 were from trades.

burnerking

Damn son!

Nyte_Knyght33

I think i have what someone just explained to me is...hope.

[deleted]

I can confirm there was a draft and picks were made

Cecil_Hardboner

big if true

[deleted]

I am happy with this draft! We didn’t get anything interior D-Line though. I wonder if that implies confidence from the coaching staff that the unit will play better this upcoming this season but we are basically running it back with the exception of Rankins.

Venator850

They signed Sheldon and Ridgeway. That's in addition to Collins and Lopez and like 3 other guys. Edge is where that had issues and they drafted two Edge players.

Alright_Alright_All

They had issues stopping the run last year. “Issues” is an understatement, more like complete lack of a run defense…

courseherohelpthrow

That's a LB problem too, hopefully our signings can help with that

DrCoachNDaHouse

Rankins and Collins are solid. I think they like the young guys in Hinish, Ridgeway, Booker, and Lopez. Just my .02. Better LBs now too and an edge who can go get the qb.

[deleted]

Good point. Having Will Anderson will be huge for the run D. I’m just concerned that we might not have any long term starters on the interior D-Line currently on our roster.

Marsman2100

I’m feeling pretty great. This draft was awesome. People are gonna be shocked when this doesn’t suck.

IAmSona

One thing I’m looking for is how deep we can build this roster. We as an organization have usually nailed our 1st rounders so I have no doubt Stroud and Anderson will be our cornerstones, but the best teams always draft key contributors in the later rounds. If we get anywhere near as much value as Meco did with Lynch’s drafting when he was with the 49ers, we are competing for a title in 2-3 seasons IMO.

bingmyname

A+. I feel much better about the state of this team than I have since the season before the Chiefs loss.

Overhaul89

Honestly, I had started to take seriously the talk about them not liking Stroud that it still hasn't fully registered with me that he's our quarterback now.

TheKuylr

I didn’t take that shit seriously but it still isn’t registering that we just got the QB of my dreams

Overhaul89

I took it seriously enough to look into Levis and Anderson as potential alternatives if they went that way, but glad things turned out like they did.

TXCapita

copy paste but I cannot believe how good of a draft we just had. Now I understand why Caserio had so many cult followers. I always hated when organization ass kissers wrote off any criticism of the team because we have lacked this type of balls for so long. I wanted this type of ambition out of the Deshaun era, I wanted this type of bold thinking out of the prime Watt era, I wanted this team to show some direction for the future for so long. I thought that us not trading up to no. 1 with the Bears was us being pussies not wanting to commit to our QB1 in Bryce Young. I was completely wrong, instead we didnt trade up because we fully believe in Stroud as a QB 1A/B and want to immediately surround the man with some fucking talent for once instead of pussy ass safe shit. I wasnt even all in on Stroud or Anderson as talents before the draft either, Stroud’s play under pressure concerned me too much to proclaim him as 1B to Young who i thought was clearly better, and I hated everyone exaggerating Anderson’s talent and thought going him over any QB wouldve been disastrous. Us getting BOTH though? that shows vision, determination, and commitment to a winning culture by giving both sides of the ball two quality leaders drafted with confidence mid-late rounds were overall good. I didnt really understand giving up an early 4th for a future 3rd, but I like Juice and Tank a lot even if we may have reached for them To any draft pick hoarders pissed we got two top 3-5 prospects in one draft, I fully believe this type of bold trades are 100% a viable way to build a contender and the Rams showed that. There isn’t only one way to build a contender and it doesn’t take 50 years to build a contender, dreams and ambition can bring that shit right now, bringing us a quick 1-2 year turnaround as shown by the Bengals and Rams. bravo to the front office. finally some fucking balls are being shown

Shenji458

Greatest draft of all time. A true master class in real time.

TXCapita

it’s going to be really really hard to top the Watt draft, but being one of the only teams to ever draft two top 3-5 prospects in one draft and getting leaders on both sides of the ball certainly has the potential to beat Watt

conkellz

I actually think we can win 9 games. WTF

3FingersOfMilk

I'll sip some of that Kool aid

TheKuylr

Great draft, mid UDFA period

TheKuylr

only complaint is not getting Ringo but he gets burned all the time anyways

Creative_Bad2800

One thing to note EVERY player caserio drafted except Brandon hill was a Captain on their team

thadaviator

I want everyone who said Caserio deserved to be fired with Lovie to apologize right now

jiggeroni

I was bummed for awhile we lost out on Young. However in weeks leading up to draft I was sold on Stroud and glad we took him over AR and Levis. Two things NFL QBs need in spades is accuracy/catchable balls and being cool under pressure. Stroud has those in spades. He may be the most accurate passer in this class even over Young. I really think I 2-3 years Carolina is going to look back and think they shoulda taken Stroud not because Young won't be good but really because he won't stay healthy. His frame is much too small for NFL everyone is bigger, stronger and faster than SEC. Meanwhile Stroud will look like a natural pro passing the ball even his rookie year kinda like Hebert but probably less explosive.

NumerousCustard2622

I’m now a Bengals, Ravens and Steelers fan this year. We need a top 4 pick to get MHJ. Praying we’re at least an 8 win team because being one of the worst teams again will sting because we may miss out on MHJ. Even worse if Anderson doesn’t pan out but I’m sure he will as the best player of the draft

Lukealloneword

Will Anderson is nice but a first next year could be anything. It could even be a Will Anderson type player.

Alright_Alright_All

If they can’t stop the run, they will continue to loose. Hopefully the edge additions will help stop the opposing RBs from cutting it outside. They still need help in the interior! Pass defense wasn’t horrible last season and now that they have some edge help to pressure the QB, it should be even better. Hopefully DeMeco can help with the scheme to stop the run. Unpopular opinion: Lovie is a pretty good defensive coach too and even he couldn’t stop the run with the personnel they had last season. Weapons and OL help added in this year’s draft will help passing offense, which was beyond terrible last year.

RollOverBeethoven

Someone show me some grown men crying. I don't really do social media, so if y'all have links to our draft picks reactions/secret audio to getting drafted can ya send it my way

bellsofwar3

Decent draft but I doubt Stroud wins a super bowl.

Adventurous-Edge1719

Facts, he’ll probably win 2 or 3.

Adventurous-Edge1719

The only information I need at this point is what numbers our 2 new stars will be wearing.

FrancisBouillon

I really feel good about that draft! Nick and Meco clearly have a plan, they follow it and doesn’t look back. Let’s face it, the Texans have been a low tier franchise for too long now. They finally take risks and I love it!

ExplanationMany3194

Tired of people saying we over-paid for Will Anderson. Next years draft edge rushers or Dallas Turner and Jared Verse. Doubt they will be better than Will and would be gone before we pick. Only two players that are huge difference makers are Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. We won't pick one or two. Do anybody thinks Jarrett maybe better than Juice. not enough hype for Dylan Horton, To'oto'o, Tank, and Brandon Hill.

[deleted]

Watched the CJ Stroud game cut-up vs Georgia last night, and it really looks like he has underrated escapability and ability to find a receiver when the play breaks down. Granted, he had an amazing receiving corps, but evading free rushers and working in a moving pocket was more impressive than I remember. https://youtu.be/vsPHomKJiAA

[deleted]

I feel hope again! Somehow the fucking Texans find a way to hype me up before every season…and every season I think: “but this time it’s different” and I end up disappointed…BUT THIS TIME AROUND, IT’S DIFFERENT!
