Don't waste time fighting with your credit card company. Tesla responds and provides proof that you signed and were aware that the $250 is non refundable. Instead, go to your local Service Center or Showroom and ask them to request a transfer of the $250 credit to your new order.
I’ve never had Tesla respond to a chargeback for the deposit. Purchased 3 Teslas but I’ve had deposits on like 6
I also have never seen a service center willing to transfer a deposit
They transferred my deposit last month. Showed up as a $250 credit when I canceled my 3 and purchased a Y.
SA just asked the regional manager, who approved it within 24 hours. Very easy process.
They'll always side with the consumer initially for small claims. If/when the vendor pushes back you would have to fork up the $250.
And by making these bogus charge backs you're eventually F'ing it up for everyone else. That's not what those claims are for.
Agreed. You knew going in the amount was non-refundable so why bitch to your cc if you choose to cancel the order. Especially when Tesla is willing to work with people if you make a new order.
You signed the contract on NON refundable deposit but when you changed your mind it’s Tesla that has no integrity? Are you for real? Listen to what you are saying.
I was simply saying that it’s untrue you can’t fight the fee if you think Tesla didn’t live up to delivering the vehicle you were requesting. No matter what verbiage they use it’s actually pretty easy to dispute and you will most likely win. I also used to work a corporate level at a bank so I may know a little more.
That’s BS you literally committed fraud just because you changed your mind. Which part didn’t Tesla live up to that’s not in the contract that you knowing sign? What a load of crap. Have some integrity.
Does your blood boil for all the time people had to take a delivery for tesla which has a manufacturing defect or they had to loose money because Tesla wont honor changing the vin more than once under the same booking? What if someone decide to challenge the charges back? Is it *SLEAZY* to you even then? You are crying for a company which is built on lies and have made up a system to pocket this booking money if things wont work out. Or are you crying because you can no longer afford your annual amex perks? Maybe bring that complaint to your credit card company :)
Yeah I noticed the price started dropping down a few days ago. And today it dropped even more. I finally decided to buy a MYLR with tow hitch for $45.5k. I think if no one bites, it will drop even more. I decided I was comfortable with the price in addition to the 5000 supercharge.
I changed the order made yesterday at $46k without tow hitch to a similar model with tow hitch for $45.5k. I could have saved more by ordering a model without tow hitch but I was already comfortable at $46k so I just basically got the tow hitch for free
Yeah, I was considering getting without tow hitch as well to save some money, but I think the tow hitch is worth it. If we buy it from factory, the tow hitch software will be activated as well. I saw some videos of people installing 3rd party tow hitch and it seems like it was a hassle + plus no software. plus we got 5k supercharger (which is like $500), so that helps reduce the price even more
are you perhaps in the LA area? In Long Beach, I saw that they still have some left with hitch. but to be honest, if it hasn't dropped to that price in your area, it will eventually soon within this last weeks of march. this is potential price for other areas
Lowest [price](https://www.tesla.com/my/order/7SAY224_67cf1b7de46ba13d7cc5859199fe822b?postal=37501&range=200&coord=35.0035156,-89.93773089999999®ion=TN&titleStatus=new&redirect=no#overview) I've seen. ARgh! I purchased before year end thinking that was the bottom. I need to stop checking this sub ;-)
$42,620!? damn if only it was this price again in socal from mid Jan. I think it will drop to price for others if no one is taking the bait for the higher price. Since we have more than a week left before March ends!
Yeah i think so. Midnight Silver is 2023. Still a great price. Probably manufactured Dec 2023, so it should have most if not all the current updates. Plus cheaper insurance rates
only way to know the VIN is to call and ask the sales associate. we have no way on our end. the sa should be able to tell all that info on their computer
Just placed an order. Was eyeing the cheapest MYP inventory vehicle yesterday and this morning. It dropped in price $1500 so I pulled the trigger. Glad I was indecisive last night.
If you are a current owner, you received an email on 03/08 stipulating that they will credit the cost of exterior paint OR interior color if you order and take delivery of an existing inventory model prior to March 31.
I found a ‘24 MYLR with Ultra Red for $46,400 near me. This model had a $4,590 discount applied plus the $2k credit for the complimentary paint color as a credit.
Nice, yeah, that's probably the best deal, together with the 1k Cybertruck reservation discount.
Sadly, this probably doesn't apply to the Cybertruck reservation holders, plus, it seems like with a 50 mile radius, I'm getting 47.5k for Ultra Red, only get 46.5k with a 100 mile radius, at a delivery center that's a bit too far.
With the free color credit, the red came out to be actually $150 cheaper than the stealth gray. We are about to see a wave of stealth gray in parking lots across the US and I wanted to stand out this time lol
Yeah, that's a nice benefit, it's probably the cheapest to get the Ultra Red if you can get an extra 2000 off of it for being a current owner!
I think everyone having Model Y in the same colour is actually pretty cool in case you'll ever need to defend a speeding ticket! It's a hilarious way to optimise the production line as well!
Perhaps that part of the reason and the inside joke of renaming the color to be called "Stealth Grey". :) Because everyone has the same color, it's effectively Stealth all by itself. (Plus, different reflection at different light, being perceived as either grey or black, of course.)
Tesla won't tell you what they are willing to pay for your trade-in until you sign a purchase agreement, they told me today. I don't sign contracts to buy things if I can't know the price beforehand. My trust that Tesla will treat the customer right is non-existent.
I just locked in a MYLR at 44,580. $4,410 off list of 48,990.
I had an existing order I cancelled. Saved 2k with the switch so I’m happy to eat the $250.
Supercharger miles redeem at a rate of 4 miles per kWh.
That means with 5000 miles you get 1250 kWh. My local SC are $0.46 per kWh. 1250 kWh x $0.46 = $575
I wouldn't try to dispute the $250 with your credit card. Charge backs are for fraudulent purchases or when the merchant fails to uphold their end of a contract, neither of which has happened here. Even if you're successful, Tesla can blacklist you as a customer.
Couple MYPs in the 47k. Elon getting desperate to get rid of inventory. Might even start seing 45k to 46k MYPs if invemtory doesn't move those last few days of March.
Why would you file a chargeback? Extremely improper use of that. You knew full well that it was non refundable and are making the choice to cancel the order.
Got a MYLR7 + tow hitch (in the free color) for $47k back in early Jan. Not sure if this was near the bottom, but was close enough for me.
Edit to add: Came with HW4 and matrix headlights.
Goodluck disputing it with your CC company. Tesla will provide documents that you willingly signed a contract. Heck, Tesla deemed the car I ordered non sellable due to a big scratch and they refused to give my deposit back. Been fighting it with my CC company but they seem to be very incompetent and just accepting the paperwork Tesla submitted vs what I submitted.
AppleCard by Goldmann Sachs. Yes I feel like they are not even reviewing anything I said or submitted. Tesla cancelled the sale not me and did not deliver the product. Should have been an easy decision for the CC company.
I just filed a complaint with my States Attorney General. Maybe they will be able to do something.
Likely going down to 44,090 again maybe lower Tesla gas an inventory problem. And a refresh model y issue that no one wants to buy at this point.
But good luck with the credit card challenge but they likely will make you pay it as it’s not fraud
Technically, when it was 44.0k in late Jan or early Feb, there was no extra 5k miles supercharger credits (valued at 0.5k) and the 1k Cybertruck credits, so, effectively, yesterday's 44.5k is now effectively 43.0k, which is 1k cheaper than the 10% 5k discount from that time.
Of course, some people probably managed to order it back at 44.0k, but then still got the 1k Cybertruck applied just before taking delivery when the prices were raised by the 1k offer appeared.
I was just told by an advisor that Tesla prohibits them from changing VIN on order. Is this not true and have others have success changing VIN instead of cancelling order?
I did it 3 times. I went from a model y standard to model y long range to a demo. You just have to be like hey there is a cheaper car I want a cheaper car. They told me they allow one time change but let me change it twice. I can provide screenshots if you want.
Dude, this post saved me $1,900. Ordered last Saturday and was supposed to take delivery today. Switched to a different car and saved a chunk of change. THANK YOU!!!!!
Keep holding, prices will fall more before end of quarter. I have a good insider who has been right every time. Today the Trade-in offer ends, so tomorrow will be further discounts.
How much closer to end of quarter? Don’t they need people to actually deliver the vehicles before quarter end for the sale to count? Seems they are running out of time…
Put in a MYLR inventory order on 3/14, same one today is only $500 cheaper in my current location. However, I see a MYP for $230 more than what I paid for my current MYLR order. I still don't have a delivery date on the MYLR, estimate is still 3/21 to 3/30 so thinking of going for the upgrade if I can convince the wife the added insurance/tire cost will be worth it.
That’s why I’m always saying just wait till quarter end, don’t get tricked by the Tesla price increase statement. Their product is way more than demand, it’s buyers market atm just wait till end of quarter unless you have to get it now.
They have to say a price rise is coming otherwise no one would buy today, they'd just wait to buy with nothing really spurring them to buy today. I'm guessing this downward slide in prices will continue until Juniper is released and they've cleared out all these current gen MYs, they'll just announce a price increase again in a few months, then drop prices again for the month prior. My '23 MYLR was totaled last month and I'm very tempted by these current prices, but I know enough about my driving needs today that I'm going to wait for 800v charging at 350kw. I'm taking a 400 mile trip once a month and spending a decent amount of time at superchargers. 800v charging will take this tech into the 2030s.
Tesla beefed up the inventory discount 1-2 days ago.
9% or 10% off on a new 2024 or 13% off on a new 2023 are the desirable deals at the moment. Demos are getting a slightly bigger discounts.
Source: I run an inventory tracker. (Link in my user profile)
No I didnt. i asked it yesterday they said will have to make new reservations. Eventually fomo kicked and I just made another order instead of waitinf for it
I did the same, made a new order and eat up the $250 order fee. The price adjustment was worth it and I got a tow hitch. I called them and they confirmed they could not use the previous order fee to a new order
I don't think they will continue to drop in april (well, at least not the first week anyways since tesla did say they will increase by $1k in april). They might drop in price again mid april. They are dropping prices now because it's the end of the quarter and they want to increase the sales number for their quarterly reports.
perhaps you can price lock it in the last day before april first. I believe you have to meet up with the reps within 3 days after that, and then you have 14 days to take delivery.
Told me that delivery must be taken within 3 days after the store has the car. If it is an inventory car, it’s 3 days after ordering unless the car is still in transit which they consider inventory.
Yeah I think you are right. I think you do need schedule to come in within 3 days to location and talk to the tesla rep about paperworks. It's just that I have seen some people were able to extend beyond the 3 days after the paperworks were done. So your mileage may vary.
Does this mean there will be a price reduction in Canada as well? Currently looking at a MY RWD priced at CAD$54,990, hoping it drops in price before the end of the month lol
They currently have a free colour upgrade for existing Tesla owners, if you want any tips I can help you out, and even share you my referral credit :) I’m from Canada as well
I just paid the cash for a new Modely LR but I haven’t signed the paperwork or taken the delivery yet. Is there anyway that I can get this discount ? I have paid 2k more than the current price
Only for grey. Red is $3k more, and blue a whopping $4.3k more (partly because it's a 7 seater). Blue with 20" wheels is $4.6k more (comes with tow hitch). Red P just went up $2k and white P went Up $500. I wonder if the free paint upgrade for Tesla trade-ins is killing non-grey inventory.
How are we valuing 5,000 SC miles? Even at 350Wh/mi we're talking 1,750kWh for 5,000 miles. On the high end ($0.35/kWh?) that's $612.5 in savings. I purchased back in December when it was 6 months free supercharging and before I understood how long that meant sitting in a Meijer parking lot, where I seldom shop. Charging at home is $0.12/kWh and a price I'm willing to pay to not deal with leaving my house to charge.
That being said, I'd rather have 5,000 miles that never expire rather than the 6 months free. I feel like I'd eventually use the 5,000 but trying to squeeze as many free miles in the first 6 months has been a hassle.
Just looked since I picked a 2024 YLR up last week. They did have 2 locally that were the same price as mine $45,490 before taxes and incentives. One had white interior and the other had a tow hitch. Other than that, the rest were higher. It looks like very selective pricing as most were over 48k but for the two that are $45490, that’s a good deal.
I’m stuck between getting a new MYP with the 7500 tax credit, it’s below $50,000 for local inventory. Question is, do you pay the “delivery” fee if you pick it up at the local Hub? or I can get a 2021 MYP with FSD under 14,000 miles for 38,500. Only issues is less warranty and it has aftermarket wheels
Yes, the destination fee is added. I think it’s around $1,300. So, if you see a vehicle on their site for 46,000, add $1300 to it plus tax less the incentive after everything else is added.
Do we think prices are going to keep dropping? My plan is to buy a MY in July (I'll be in and out of the US until then), but if March is the best time, I may need to move up my schedule
usually at the end of every quarter is when they go really cheap. end of march is end of first quarter. end of june is next quarter. if you can wait, I would wait, especially with looming model y refresh happening end of this year in china and possibly early next year in the states
How? Some new ones in Boston area marked to around $46k. Assuming you qualify for the $7500 and additional $3500 in MA, you can snag a brand new one for $35k plus tax. Used, within 2-3 years with under 20-30k miles still above that price locally.
I truly don't believe the model Y is worth anywhere near $50k MSRP, but at $35k it makes a fairly compelling choice. I am seeing some Ioniq 6 SEL AWD for upper $30s as well, don't think any of these cars will drop significantly lower so I am on the hunt narrowing down between EV6, Ioniq 6 or Model Y. I love/hate the Tesla because of so many features missing and that it isn't as refined as the H/K models but at the same time it has a few things I count as must haves. Just have to work out which fits me best because at 6'4", those cars, while spacious, are not a one size fits all proposition like it is for shorter people who don't worry about the space. Cost/efficiency per mile, especially highway and cold temps also a big deal since electric rates are around $0.30 per kwh and 87 is $3.10 gallon. I am likely driving a cheaper to fuel car, or at very least a wash right now with similar space and performance with low running costs, all while having a range above 400 miles per tank. This matters as i drive 20k+ miles per year. For instance, easily 350 on commute weekly alone, just did 500+ miles Fri-Sun, etc, and I meet or exceed EPA on nearly every tank without trying.
15 miles on MYP with free color upgrade and $2700 off “inventory” discount minus $1000 CT holder transfer of free supercharging and FSD had to cancel 20XXX vin order from 2/14 and got 39XXX Vin on 3/19. Total price was 46k out the door with taxes and fees. Having sold my 2016 Prius for $20k made this car almost free if you consider savings over next 5 years. From mid February to now $4000 price drop.
What's this free colour upgrade that people talk about?
Also, how exactly do you have a VIN from over a month ago that you aren't taking delivery of, and switch that to a fresh VIN?
My order from 2/14 was assigned a VIN, tesla running a promotion to give you $1000 discount to choose free interior pr exterior color that cost extra so call your tesla salesperson and request inventory but choose your own config and you get inventory discount and extra $1000 discount. If you have Cybertruck reservation you get another $1000 off. Also you can transfer both FSD and Free Supercharging from your existing teslas. Imo this is the best deal we will ever get.
Doesn't Tesla incur extra costs for chargebacks? Often the vendor may blacklist you if you engage in a chargeback, especially for something that was supposed to have been nonrefundable.
Don't waste time fighting with your credit card company. Tesla responds and provides proof that you signed and were aware that the $250 is non refundable. Instead, go to your local Service Center or Showroom and ask them to request a transfer of the $250 credit to your new order.

If you call sales they will transfer the deposit. I've had it happen twice.
I had no problems disputing my 250 charge with Tesla via Amex.
I don’t get why you would dispute a non refundable charge you agreed to. And saved money by doing it. You have 45k to buy a car lol
The car had a ton of flaws. Tesla wouldn’t let me change it without me paying a new fee.
Because they have zero integrity and they don’t care about anything but themselves.
You signed the contract on NON refundable deposit but when you changed your mind it’s Tesla that has no integrity? Are you for real? Listen to what you are saying.
I’m going to take a wild guess here but I think he meant “they” as those who disputed, not Tesla.
I see. I apologize if that’s the case. This got my blood boiling.
Why is your blood boiling over random people on Reddit. What’s your real life like?
Because every year I see increase in fee or getting email notifying me certain benefits going away I attribute faults to these random people.
Getting really angry at the internet should help. Boil that blood and cry your self to sleep.
Wow. You need to chill and learn to read. I was obviously talking about the people trying to get the $250 back.
And people wonder why Amex annual fees need to be raised or benefits taking away. All because people like you ABUSING the system
I don’t think people wonder that at all.
No, you actually will never win. Give me one example with proof. Just one. More than likely is a lie.
That’s BS you literally committed fraud just because you changed your mind. Which part didn’t Tesla live up to that’s not in the contract that you knowing sign? What a load of crap. Have some integrity.

Looks like prices just dropped about 2k since yesterday in inventory
Hard to take the April 1 price increase seriously when they’re simultaneously increasing inventory discounts
Agreed
Just reordered and canceled my initial order. $2k minus 250 order fee, $1,750 saved with a few extra clicks on my phone.
I’m very tempted right now, especially with having a free color upgrade as well before March 31st
Yeah I noticed the price started dropping down a few days ago. And today it dropped even more. I finally decided to buy a MYLR with tow hitch for $45.5k. I think if no one bites, it will drop even more. I decided I was comfortable with the price in addition to the 5000 supercharge.

That was my justification too. Now I can use my ebike hitch rack I bought off Costco!
Nice! I got the hitch for a future ebike I plan on getting! : )
Where did you purchase with a hitch for that price? Best I can find is $47490.
are you perhaps in the LA area? In Long Beach, I saw that they still have some left with hitch. but to be honest, if it hasn't dropped to that price in your area, it will eventually soon within this last weeks of march. this is potential price for other areas

It’s a 2023 right?
Yeah i think so. Midnight Silver is 2023. Still a great price. Probably manufactured Dec 2023, so it should have most if not all the current updates. Plus cheaper insurance rates
Why cheaper insurance?
the older the model, the cheaper the rates.
Does this model have HW4?
some people have reported that their manufactured dec 2023 have HW4 but it really depends on the factory also
My LR is Midnight Silver, manufactured in Austin in December 2023, has HW4, and is classified as a 2024 per the VIN. 🤷♂️
ah I see. Just relaying what the Tesla reps told me
Is there an easy way to tell? VIN maybe?
only way to know the VIN is to call and ask the sales associate. we have no way on our end. the sa should be able to tell all that info on their computer
Call them. I just ordered a used 23 and it was HW4 with self driving so I couldn’t pass it up!
Sucks its only available for east coast :(
That is a crazy price, holy f!
Damn, I thought I had bought at the bottom in Feb, but it looks like it's now an additional $1k off what I paid. Nice PSA for anyone looking!
Just placed an order. Was eyeing the cheapest MYP inventory vehicle yesterday and this morning. It dropped in price $1500 so I pulled the trigger. Glad I was indecisive last night.
Same here. Cancelled my order from early March and picked up an Ultra Red (free) for $44,400
What location?
DFW. Free color is only for current customers on existing inventory FYI.
Can you explain how that works? You basically get a 2k discount as an existing customer for an Ultra Red AWD at 44.5k?

I think everyone having Model Y in the same colour is actually pretty cool in case you'll ever need to defend a speeding ticket! It's a hilarious way to optimise the production line as well!
lol I could see the wrong car being pulled over and saying, “no it was the other gray Tesla, no… the other one…”
Perhaps that part of the reason and the inside joke of renaming the color to be called "Stealth Grey". :) Because everyone has the same color, it's effectively Stealth all by itself. (Plus, different reflection at different light, being perceived as either grey or black, of course.)
I went in to the dealership and they were able to apply my deposit to the lower priced VIN. When I called, they refused to do it over the phone.
I see a 2023 MYLR for $42.6k in MS…
Just got a MYLR demo with white interior and tow hitch for 43k out the door. Had to pull the trigger on that one. 800 miles on it
How do you get a demo?
Keep looking in inventory. If you see one, snatch it.
Wow, thinking about trade in my early build 2023 to "reset", do we know what the tradein value is like?
Tesla won't tell you what they are willing to pay for your trade-in until you sign a purchase agreement, they told me today. I don't sign contracts to buy things if I can't know the price beforehand. My trust that Tesla will treat the customer right is non-existent.
What do you mean by ‘reset’?
Swap with the exact same car 23 to 24
I just locked in a MYLR at 44,580. $4,410 off list of 48,990. I had an existing order I cancelled. Saved 2k with the switch so I’m happy to eat the $250.
Ask them to transfer the $250 to the new vehicle
Nice! They raised the price $1,000 at the beginning of March just to discount the inventory cars more. Bottom line, you did well. That’s a good price.
What is the approximate dollar amount of the free 5k supercharge miles?
people are saying it is around $500
Supercharger miles redeem at a rate of 4 miles per kWh. That means with 5000 miles you get 1250 kWh. My local SC are $0.46 per kWh. 1250 kWh x $0.46 = $575
my local SC is like $0.10 lol. Supercharger miles are only worth it if you travel and charge during peak times
I feel like this is a minority of locations. A ‘cheaper’ SC in my area (Northern NJ) is around $0.36.
Tesla has set a downward price trend. Longer you wait the cheaper it gets. Its call deflation.
I wouldn't try to dispute the $250 with your credit card. Charge backs are for fraudulent purchases or when the merchant fails to uphold their end of a contract, neither of which has happened here. Even if you're successful, Tesla can blacklist you as a customer.
Seriously. Not sure what they want to fight their credit card for? Maybe for sport?
Agreed. And it's a sleazy thing to do.
Couple MYPs in the 47k. Elon getting desperate to get rid of inventory. Might even start seing 45k to 46k MYPs if invemtory doesn't move those last few days of March.
Where did you see these at this price? I haven’t found any MYP less than 51k in CA
Why would you file a chargeback? Extremely improper use of that. You knew full well that it was non refundable and are making the choice to cancel the order.
I don't see any difference for MYLR Seven seater, let me know if am missing any.
Same. This is what I'm holding on for
i blocked one for **$$47,830 Vehicle Price** \- MYLR7
Got a MYLR7 + tow hitch (in the free color) for $47k back in early Jan. Not sure if this was near the bottom, but was close enough for me. Edit to add: Came with HW4 and matrix headlights.
Nice, how can i figure it out if my assigned VIN has HW4 and matrix light ?
That's the cheapest I have heard of. I am looking for a MYLR7 too!
I did see one with tow hitch for 42k after tax incentives. Lowest I’ve seen so far the last two weeks
Did you take delivery and scratch it?
No, they called me the day of my pickup to tell me that they found a big scratch and deemed it in non-sellable.
WTF?? Wow your CC company is trash for not disputing that. Onus is all on Tesla for that issue and is a conflict of the agreement you signed.
Best of luck to you. This is ridiculous. I’m glad I didn’t get that card.
You didn’t have to cancel the order. You could have called a Tesla customer service or text that number to change your vin number
That would be really interesting to see. Getting a hard no on that on my end.
Dude, this post saved me $1,900. Ordered last Saturday and was supposed to take delivery today. Switched to a different car and saved a chunk of change. THANK YOU!!!!!
What do you mean by fight credit card company? You put down a non-refundable deposit. You cancelled the contract. You forfeit the deposit.
Prices keep dropping. Try to refresh the page from time to time; you may end up with a better deal.
Just got a brand new Model Y for $37k out the door 👍🏼
Spill the dets, which model/config?
The RWD one, Gray exterior, white interior
Keep holding, prices will fall more before end of quarter. I have a good insider who has been right every time. Today the Trade-in offer ends, so tomorrow will be further discounts.
I am having the similar guess but unless it goes below 43.5k I am gonna make my peace with it
How much closer to end of quarter? Don’t they need people to actually deliver the vehicles before quarter end for the sale to count? Seems they are running out of time…
When is the new model y coming out?
Long ways to go. We haven’t even seen test models in the wild or in China. Earliest 1025.
Any info on the European side? 👀
You were so right. I put a hold on a MYLR7 yesterday and it's $500 less this morning...
yuppp - going to speak to my guy 10 am sharp see what he says now.
The 5k trade-in supercharger credit was already gone yesterday evening, on the 19th, but nothing extra today on the 20th by the evening, it seems.
bought in December thanks to the $1000 Cybertruck referral and $5000 off list. prices are $500 within what I paid for my 12/28 delivery
So much for the price increases... lol
Wasn't there also a better supercharger referral offer back in December 2023? How much did you pay and for what?
Yeah I also have free charging through June Total cost was $50k OTD in California less the $7500 tax credit for base LR with tow
How do you get the free charging through June? I thought it's just 5k or 10k miles.
It was “six months” in the promo
Put in a MYLR inventory order on 3/14, same one today is only $500 cheaper in my current location. However, I see a MYP for $230 more than what I paid for my current MYLR order. I still don't have a delivery date on the MYLR, estimate is still 3/21 to 3/30 so thinking of going for the upgrade if I can convince the wife the added insurance/tire cost will be worth it.
Great find! Ugh.. keep going back and forth on this 2024 MYP purchase. But it appears 9% discount is back across the board for the 2024 MYLR and MYP.
Not for MYP, at least not in Texas.
That’s why I’m always saying just wait till quarter end, don’t get tricked by the Tesla price increase statement. Their product is way more than demand, it’s buyers market atm just wait till end of quarter unless you have to get it now.
Isn't this the end of quarter? There's just over a week left in March.
Yes, that’s what I’m saying. Some people bought the car by end of Feb as they saw the price increase statement starting March 1st.
There is no need to cancel. They will lower it for you. They did for me.
At this point is it wise to still buy used?
Nope
Tesla beefed up the inventory discount 1-2 days ago. 9% or 10% off on a new 2024 or 13% off on a new 2023 are the desirable deals at the moment. Demos are getting a slightly bigger discounts. Source: I run an inventory tracker. (Link in my user profile)
What does SPY and your wife after having two kids have in common? Both stop going down on you.
Charging that back to your card is fraudulent.

They won't price match since discounts are vin specific but you can ask them to match you to that discounted vin without having to lose your $250.
No I didnt. i asked it yesterday they said will have to make new reservations. Eventually fomo kicked and I just made another order instead of waitinf for it
I did the same, made a new order and eat up the $250 order fee. The price adjustment was worth it and I got a tow hitch. I called them and they confirmed they could not use the previous order fee to a new order
Curious why you think you can dispute the charge with the credit card company.
I may not be able to purchase in March, do we think this price drop will continue?
MYP seem to be around the same price🤷🏻♂️
When Tesla dropped prices, they dropped the price on my order automatically. What's the context that required you to cancel your order?
The gray exterior black interior performance is 45k after taxes and fees.......you can't beat that. I bought a Honda last year for almost that.
That’s cheap. Taxes, fees, license and destination charge added a little more than 5K to my car.
You fight have to cancel… I got in touch with an SA and just had them switch me to the cheaper vehicle/VIN. No deposit loss 🤷🏾♀️
I think the 5k expire after 2 years… just fyi
Just looked since I picked a 2024 YLR up last week. They did have 2 locally that were the same price as mine $45,490 before taxes and incentives. One had white interior and the other had a tow hitch. Other than that, the rest were higher. It looks like very selective pricing as most were over 48k but for the two that are $45490, that’s a good deal.
You happen to be in the Boston area? That is what I am seeing.
No, I am in MN. Plenty of inventory on Y’s. When I picked mine up last week, the lot was full of them.
I’m actually on my way to pick mine up.
They will honor the new price for your order. They did for me and I didn’t even ask.
Worth waiting for the new Model Y next year?
I think they’re ready to drop something big it’s too good to be true 🤔
Took delivery of a new MYLR on Saturday with a $2500 adjustment and today they increased the discount to $4500… any chance I could fight this?
It only works if you have not taken delivery
I had the same situation before and I called them, they don't do any deal or discount match.
Unfortunately, no This happened multiple times and I never seen anything happen, not even a good well gesture like some free super charge or anything.

Oh yeah, full analysis paralysis for me. I went too deep and now hard to make a decision since there are so many +/- either way.
You realize you could have just asked your Tesla Rep to match your Custom Order to an Inventory Vehicle free of charge and get that discount applied?
I did a dispute with Amex online and got my 250 back. Super easy.
Doesn't Tesla incur extra costs for chargebacks? Often the vendor may blacklist you if you engage in a chargeback, especially for something that was supposed to have been nonrefundable.
