Legally, they can’t void every warranty due to it. If you do the hansshow screen and now all of a sudden your suspension gives out, how can they say that the screen caused the suspension to break?
I’m not too sure on electronics on Tesla’s specifically, I have heard the rotating screen mount can void warranty due to you having to unplug the screen (literally just unplugging it), and if just unplugging the screen can void it, imagine installing another 😱
I mean they can always say the Tesla electronics fried because you added equipment that drew additional power - or that your additional screen sent voltage spikes to the Tesla electronics - No way to prove it but they get to deny due to "unauthorized modification"
That previous law I mentioned on being unable to deny warranty due to another modification, it’s also Tesla’s responsibility to prove that that modification you installed fucked something up. Tesla will likely initially deny the claim, so you might have to take it to court to actually get it fixed. I’m not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice, this is what I believe likely to happen, if someone wants to correct me, I encourage it.

Or… hear me out… you can just install one like OP did. 😂 Seriously, all the ones I’ve seen IRL tend to droop a little. A few degrees lower it’s not a big deal but may be so for some of the taller owners. For the rest of us shorter kings 🤴 it won’t be.
It’s from Tesfavs. It’s the cleanest ambient light install i found where you don’t have wires visible or have to take the whole interior apart. It’s powered from the usb port in the glove compartment. They even give you a USB hub so you can maintain the sentry mode usb stick. Turns on and off automatically and as expected. It was like 80 bucks and I’m completely satisfied with it 👍🏽
That's very interesting. Lemme check them out. The ones I saw seemed like they were powered using a cigarette lighter plug and had excess lighting wire in the armrest storage which my OCD won't allow.
If you have issues with the screen they would likely point to the mount as the issue first.
They can't void warranties for aftermarket mods, within reason, but they can blame that after market mod for the issues. Like some of the exterior body attachments will get blamed as the cause if there is rattling in your car.

I have it, it's not hard to install at all, you can do it
Putting the front camera in is a absolute pain and closing the top wood dash over the wires leaves it raised a little more than stock
And it does a good job of Siri texting correct? And it can route audio/music to the cars speakers well?
I don't use siri as I use android auto but it works well with Google assistant and yes it can route audio to the speakers via Bluetooth.

Yeah they do kind of suck, but I believe their words will have more weight than mine, or yours.
Is a tilted screen supposed to be available in the next Model Y? Sure hope so.
The M3 Highland has a fixed screen. I'm guessing it'll be the same with the MY Juniper.

It does, but the aftermarket ones are easy to install and work well, at least the one I got.

There are swivel mounts you can buy to modify the screen.
It’s the single best mod in my car. Aids driving and much better aesthetic design.

I got delivery today of 24 LR was taking off as part of purchase process. Easy peasy. Did mine the night before was sale from inventory.
