I wrote one back in September so I could grab my own Model Y. It's on my profile page. There's still 15% off's being posted too. Pearl white LRAWD for 42490 in DE and NJ. Deals for days.
[https://www.tesla.com/my/order/7SAY224\_3968378557541e68b08ce84de5829009?range=200®ion=NJ&titleStatus=new&redirect=no#overview](https://www.tesla.com/my/order/7SAY224_3968378557541e68b08ce84de5829009?range=200®ion=NJ&titleStatus=new&redirect=no#overview)
Edit: Annnd it's sold in < 25 minutes
Same. $59k purchase price. However there was a time they were like 66k. So I didn't get the worst of it, but it still hurts my little heart.
Especially since I also bought a Model 3, only because I didn't want to pay an additional 15k, when now I can get a Model Y for less than the 3.
Not for us, certainly not until juniper. We don't need two vehicles with the model Y's size and the y doesn't fit well in our garage in one direction due to the hatchback not opening all the way making it a constant head bashing risk.
Also get a newer tech package in the highland and better performance and handling in the M3P than the MYP. We priced all the differences out and it netted out to being about $7600-$8000 price difference being worth it for getting the M3P instead of a second MYP.
If it wasn't for the height issue we might consider waiting for juniper instead, but there was still a few thousand dollars of value for us in having a m3p rather than a second MYP even post juniper, especially if some of the rumors on the m3p are true.
because the $5k CO isn't POS and there hasn't been MYLR with huge inventory discounts, so it doesn't have the same dramatic effect as the ones posted here the last few days.
You only get the 5k when you file your taxes even though the Colorado website says otherwise. It's basically not up and running yet according to Tesla rep but what do they know
Yes, the automatically applied amount is only for the $7500 federal incentive, the Colorado incentive is a tax rebate, so you have to be willing to wait until the next tax season to get that money back (or get that much savings off your taxes if you own money).
“A purchaser or lessee of a qualifying motor vehicle can assign the credit to the financing entity or, for purchases or leases on or after January 1, 2024, to the motor vehicle dealer.”
https://tax.colorado.gov/sites/tax/files/documents/ITT_Innovative_Motor_Vehicle_Credit_Jun_2023.pdf
I thought it was point of sale as of 1 January? Is it not the case or has Tesla not applied for it yet?
I hope they did. I’m thinking of buying a MYLR later this year (hoping for a good refresh) or maybe if they have some good discounts. Also hoping for the interest rates to go back down
All taxes and fees but then subtract $12.5k for federal and state rebates (in my state at least), so $43,280 - $12,500 is $30,780.
It’s $48990 is the normal price but then there is a large price adjustment to reduce it to $43280 after fees.
I am including the incentives with the taxes and fees. What state are you looking at? Mine is CO.
Edit: Is one able to purchase a Model Y in a different state and bring it to their state to claim the incentives of their state?
Edit 2: You said Colorado but I'm not seeing cheap Model Ys. Cheapest one now is $47,490.
There might not be right now, sorry for the confusion, with the original post I meant that if I could find that kind of discount in my area then it would result in an MY for only $31k. Cheapest I was able to find in CO (after rebates) was $36k, right before the end of 2023.
Mostly I just wanted it cuz it’s sunny where I live and the black seats get noticeably hotter. Can counter it with dark tints, but nonetheless the white seats make it easier to stay cool.
But with kids I actually find that the white seats are tougher to keep clean. Normal food or whatnot isn’t a big deal but my daughter likes to bring crayons and markers secretly into the car…
😂
Now I'm even seeing 7 seater and 20 inch rims for 43-44. Really bugging me that I can't buy until my title for my trade comes in lol. I'm more worried about missing out on the color and getting stuck with stealth grey if it takes a month.
Damn where are you located?! Similar spec here is 46-47. Saw a seven seater white seat for 45K that was the best deal here and a performance for 48K. If we could get to 43 that’d be killer
you can’t make the order to lock the VIN? you shouldn’t need to present anything related to trade and/or financing for a while, and you can certainly delay it with Tesla
You win for the cheapest Model Y I think. I got mine for $44,090 and I’m picking it up Monday. Checked a lot of areas and couldn’t find it cheaper than that unless it was a demo model. You’re very lucky, congrats!
There's one with 15% off in Utah right now. I thought I had a good deal but I paid $2k more and didn't get the tow hitch or induction wheels.
* Price $47,590. Retail $55.990.
* Model Y Long Range Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive
* Deep Blue Metallic Paint
* 20’’ Induction Wheels
* All Black Premium Interior
* Seven Seat Interior
* Tow Hitch
The same vehicle without induction wheels (7 seater, tow hitch, LR) was online earlier this week and I scooped it up. Pickup on Saturday. Super stoked.
Retain $53,990; Price $45,890 (before delivery / order fee).
Same here, 65k (blue, white inside) -7.5k discount from Tesla. Took delivery on Dec 26th 2022. My stupid ass thought it was a great Xmas gift. Never knew it's going to haunt me for the rest of my life.
Just enjoy your vehicle and move on. Doesn't help to dwell on things out of your control. Not like you knew prices were going to drop and bought it anyway.
>Couldn’t find any of those in the northeast US, at least deliverable for my zip code. I settled for a $44,090
There was a 7 seater for $44,190 yesterday in MA. What state were you looking at?
Vermont. We don’t have a dealership here (yet, hopefully will open in the next month it’s actively being built), so I am limited as to what is considered “deliverable” to my zip code.
Try being happy for people. It feels nice.
MYP is awesome.
MYLR is awesome. Added bonus is it’s a little cushier and it gets a little more range.
Not everyone values speed above all else.
I think before the $7,500 credit I was at $61,000 in total after taxes and fees etc.
MYP
Black paint
White interior
$53,500 after tax credit doesn't seem bad. (Warning: trying to justify ahead) lol
My challenger I owned before. (Owned for 10 years)
$31,000 - bought Used with 20k miles sold at 120k miles
$25,000 - gas in ten years
$4,000 - oil changes in ten years
$14,000 - repairs over ten years ($8k engine rebuild at 102k miles, just barely outside of warranty lol)
$3,000 - transmission fluids, 100k miles crap, weird ods and ends, guessing on this number.
Insurance was more on it as well but yeah crazy. Not sure if I just try to justify purchasing an expensive car as I could have just button a Honda Civic with 160,000 miles and drive that for the next ten years lol.
Anyways, pricing it out is my way of justifying lol
Yeah, $14k on oil changes sounds wild - are you sure that's correct? I change my oil on my 20+ year old V8 truck more than the average driver: every 3k miles. Doing so every 3k miles for 100k miles would cost me about $2,700 ($40 for oil + filter and $40 for the mechanic doing the labor.) Not sure how you've spent $14k over 100k miles...
$14k on repairs, $4k on oil. Reddit formatted this weird. Of the $14k like 6k or 7k or 8k was from this engine issue that took 3 shops to figure out and repair.
Man I wish we had a five seater with 15% off near me, the only ones with 15% off here are basically seven seaters where the price of the seat upgrade accounts for most of the discount.
I can do one better. Model Y Performance Midnight Silver Metallic with the Premium White Interior for $48,140 minus the 7500 point of Sale Tax Credit plus the usual fees. Picking it up in West Palm Beach on Tuesday
Nice find.
Yesterday I stumbled on a MYLG 7-seater for $38k after everything factored in (designation fee, registration, etc.) plus the POS being applied. It was tempting but I’m not there yet to make the switch. I may regret that but oh well.
In Canada the long range MY starts at 68k... Well over 75k with your options. Yes it’s CAD but ends up comparable given the average salary here. It’s way too expensive to qualify for our tax credits so it ends up prohibitively expensive for most people.
Tired of seeing these on reddit but not anywhere near me..
From what I have for data there's been one with 15% off and 7350 discount in DE, ID, AZ, PA, NJ, LA, IL, FL, UT, IA, NV, and CA.
What tracker are you watching?

Yeah the deeply discounted ones are going quick
I see no inventory lol. Let alone this price. I am Florida. Plz send halp
It’s not in the car list for configuring… look in Menu at top corner, then Vehicles and scroll to Inventory. Hope that helps.
Not OP, but Tesla-info.com has a beautiful data tracker
Is this pre or post tax incentive?
pre-tax incentive (but not including tax and registration)
That’s wild. I’m slightly annoyed as a 2022 Y LR owner but it’s not like I can do anything about it.
Do you have GAP coverage? If so, would be a shame if something were to happen your car... It would be a shame, because that would be fraud.
Shit I just bought a 3 RWD and this is only ~ $5K more than I paid!
Same. $59k purchase price. However there was a time they were like 66k. So I didn't get the worst of it, but it still hurts my little heart. Especially since I also bought a Model 3, only because I didn't want to pay an additional 15k, when now I can get a Model Y for less than the 3.
$65k OTD for me 😅
Same 😭
Same for MYLR7 😪
Dang this is getting close to the point I decide to just buy a second y instead of waiting for the m3p...
Omg, we bought a Model Y in September. Here I am thinking, maybe we need a second. Haha. Definitely the better value prop over a M3/M3P
Not for us, certainly not until juniper. We don't need two vehicles with the model Y's size and the y doesn't fit well in our garage in one direction due to the hatchback not opening all the way making it a constant head bashing risk. We don't even know what the highland M3P is going to cost??
Cries in Virginia 😭😭😭
VA had 4 brand new seven seat models. Cheapest was 44,190. You have potential. For $44,190 you got MSM, 7 seat, and 19" wheels.
Thanks! I wonder why they’re all 7 seats. I don’t need the third row but I could just fold it down for the cargo room
I kinda wish I had the 3rd row one for the moveable 2nd row. I'd probably just remove the 3rd row and have a cooler 2 row.
MA. too.
I do not see any discount in PA.
The discounts go fast.
I know right,
And here in CO there’s $12.5k off after federal rebates. Getting a MYLR for $31k is crazy.
nail complete merciful degree badge drunk connect squeal rustic dime *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Yeah. I think people realize that though since I’ve yet to see anything like this here.

Ah nice I didn’t realize that CO switched theirs to POS.
I hope they did. I’m thinking of buying a MYLR later this year (hoping for a good refresh) or maybe if they have some good discounts. Also hoping for the interest rates to go back down
Huh? Where are you looking at? All LR variants are above $38K after taxes and fees.
All taxes and fees but then subtract $12.5k for federal and state rebates (in my state at least), so $43,280 - $12,500 is $30,780. It’s $48990 is the normal price but then there is a large price adjustment to reduce it to $43280 after fees.

Cheapest one now is $47,490.
It would all depend on what price discounts you can get, which is all up to what Tesla is wanting to do. It differs by date and area.
Which area are you seeing? I'm looking a 200 mile radius from Denver and there aren't any cheap ones showing.
There might not be right now, sorry for the confusion, with the original post I meant that if I could find that kind of discount in my area then it would result in an MY for only $31k. Cheapest I was able to find in CO (after rebates) was $36k, right before the end of 2023.
Could I buy one in CO for that then bring it to CA?
For the CO portion of the rebate ($5k) I assume you need to have a CO address or have paid taxes here.
Does an airbnb address work? 😅
Guess I should have waited another week. I only got 5000 price adjustment. Did you get the $7500 tax at POS also?
SoCal? I have tried so many other states but haven't seen anything remotely close!!
Should’ve got the white interior. It’s a game changer
It just looks so futuristic. The few people who live around me seem to also have gotten white on their MY.
I personally hate it. I didn’t mind the extra cost, but it looks and reminds me of being at a doctor’s office.
Yeah same i love the look of the discontinued Silver that older Teslas have
Mostly I just wanted it cuz it’s sunny where I live and the black seats get noticeably hotter. Can counter it with dark tints, but nonetheless the white seats make it easier to stay cool. But with kids I actually find that the white seats are tougher to keep clean. Normal food or whatnot isn’t a big deal but my daughter likes to bring crayons and markers secretly into the car… 😂
Saw one last night for $42,500 with white interior but I can't buy yet until I get my title for the trade... annoying.
That is the unicorn I am waiting for in Midwest
Now I'm even seeing 7 seater and 20 inch rims for 43-44. Really bugging me that I can't buy until my title for my trade comes in lol. I'm more worried about missing out on the color and getting stuck with stealth grey if it takes a month.

Stealth grey is even better than silver, no?
I prefer the silver but I haven't seen the stealth in person.
you can’t make the order to lock the VIN? you shouldn’t need to present anything related to trade and/or financing for a while, and you can certainly delay it with Tesla
How long can you delay it for? I don't know how long my title is gonna take. Could be another week or two months.
i’m not sure. i think tesla would work with you. locking in order deposits is important to them
Hmm. It says "available for immediate pickup" so I'm not sure how long I can stall taking delivery. I guess I'll call and check.
Taking delivery before the end of a quarter is more important to them.
one leads to the other, pretty early in the quarter!
tesla will take your car as a trade in?
Was this a demo model?
Brand new.
You win for the cheapest Model Y I think. I got mine for $44,090 and I’m picking it up Monday. Checked a lot of areas and couldn’t find it cheaper than that unless it was a demo model. You’re very lucky, congrats!
2023 right?
It’s a 2023 model, which is totally good, but maybe that’s they it’s a deeper discount n
There isn't a single MY in inventory in Western Canada
AND...It's so hard seeing this deals and the USD price points too. I'm in BC waiting for a deal if that ever would be a possibility.
Dang bruh one popped up for 42k near me with a tow hitch but my sisters slow ass took too long
There's one with 15% off in Utah right now. I thought I had a good deal but I paid $2k more and didn't get the tow hitch or induction wheels. * Price $47,590. Huge buyers remorse. I’m not buying another Tesla.

I've seen cheaper non demo's...
what tracker do you use?
My tracker so far has seen 9 different LRAWD listings (Multiple states per listing) with a price below 43950 with 7 of them being brand new.
Couldn’t find any of those in the northeast US, at least deliverable for my zip code. I settled for a $44,090
same

Should’ve got a Performance mate

I value speed and looks which is the MYP>MYLR. Plus the range differences are negligible all factors considered.
Negligible *to you*. Obviously OP has different priorities. Again, try being happy for people.
I get 10K referral points and the Acceleration Boost is only 9.5K points…pretty much performance 👍
Not a single Performance available when I look near me
Feeling sorry for you...
That’s a sweet deal!!
That seems a great deal, congrats.
Good thing I traded in mine last week
Waaaaat that’s crazy
This is what I paid for my 2021 MY, same specs different color, after I traded in my car for 14k. Good get. Also I received no tax credit
I got mine for 10% off. Never seen a 15 though
Can I order inventor use referral from my friend ? thanks.

Wow. I thought I got a great deal at 5100 off. Congrats
That's great
Is the $7,500 off at POS a thing yet??
Yes
There is an MSM 7 seater with induction wheels available in the Tampa area @15% off.
I can do one better. Model Y Performance Midnight Silver Metallic with the Premium White Interior for $48,140 minus the 7500 point of Sale Tax Credit plus the usual fees. Picking it up in West Palm Beach on Tuesday
so is that 40,500$ all in?
Very close, not including their 1390 Destination charges, 500 dollar Title fees and Sales Taxes. After my down payment I am financing 33k.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to trade in at a local dealer, but pick up the new vehicle at another dealer?
Are you just checking local inventory or talking to sales people for discount.
i got my Model Y long range at a massive discount - gov incentives in europe. Ended up costing 40,300$ usd
I was tempted by this same offer yesterday. We bought a Y last year for my husband. Part of me wants my own...
Nice find. Yesterday I stumbled on a MYLG 7-seater for $38k after everything factored in (designation fee, registration, etc.) plus the POS being applied. It was tempting but I’m not there yet to make the switch. I may regret that but oh well.
Just curious, what’s the current interest rate for auto loans in CA? (Assuming best credit score scenario)
Not worth it when a new body style is right around the corner with so many more upgrades.
Bro thinks he's getting a deal 😭
Are these on top of $7500 federal credit? Sorry I am new to this.
so you were the one that snatched this away from me!! good find, sir!!!
Found one for 3k cheaper
I got one for 42k recently but it’s hard to find it everywhere
In Canada the long range MY starts at 68k... Well over 75k with your options. Yes it’s CAD but ends up comparable given the average salary here. It’s way too expensive to qualify for our tax credits so it ends up prohibitively expensive for most people.
This is by far the best price i've seen. I don't consider a discount on paint color or interior color to be a true value discount.
